1Als Mose dann aus den Steppen der Moabiter auf den Berg Nebo, den Gipfel des Pisga, der Jericho gegenüber liegt, gestiegen war, ließ der HERR ihn das ganze Land sehen: Gilead bis nach Dan
2und ganz Naphthali, das Land Ephraim und Manasse und die ganze Landschaft Juda bis an das westliche Meer
3sowie das Südland und die Jordan-Aue, die Tiefebene der Palmenstadt Jericho bis nach Zoar.
4Hierauf sagte der HERR zu ihm: »Dies ist das Land, das ich Abraham, Isaak und Jakob zugeschworen habe mit den Worten: ›Deiner Nachkommenschaft will ich es geben!‹ Ich habe es dich mit eigenen Augen sehen lassen, aber hinüber sollst du nicht kommen!«
5So starb denn dort Mose, der Knecht des HERRN, im Lande der Moabiter nach dem Befehl des HERRN;
6und er begrub ihn im Tal im Lande der Moabiter, Beth-Peor gegenüber; aber niemand kennt sein Grab bis auf den heutigen Tag.
7Mose war bei seinem Tode hundertundzwanzig Jahre alt; seine Augen waren nicht schwach geworden, und seine Rüstigkeit war nicht geschwunden.
8Die Israeliten beweinten Mose in den Steppen der Moabiter dreißig Tage lang, bis die Tage des Weinens in der Trauer um ihn zu Ende waren.
9Josua aber, der Sohn Nuns, war mit dem Geist der Weisheit erfüllt, denn Mose hatte ihm die Hände fest aufgelegt; daher gehorchten ihm die Israeliten und taten, wie der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte.
10Es ist aber hinfort kein Prophet mehr in Israel aufgestanden wie Mose, mit dem der HERR von Angesicht zu Angesicht verkehrt hätte;
11(keiner ist mit ihm zu vergleichen) hinsichtlich aller der Zeichen und Wunder, die der HERR ihn als seinen Gesandten in Ägypten am Pharao und all seinen Dienern und an seinem ganzen Lande hat vollführen lassen,
12und hinsichtlich aller Erweise von gewaltiger Kraft und hinsichtlich aller erstaunlichen Großtaten, die Mose vor den Augen von ganz Israel vollbracht hat.

1Y SUBIÓ Moisés de los campos de Moab al monte de Nebo, á la cumbre de Pisga, que está enfrente de Jericó: y mostróle Jehová toda la tierra de Galaad hasta Dan,
2Y á todo Nephtalí, y la tierra de Ephraim y de Manasés, toda la tierra de Judá hasta la mar postrera;
3Y la parte meridional, y la campiña, la vega de Jericó, ciudad de las palmas, hasta Soar.
4Y díjole Jehová: Esta es la tierra de que juré á Abraham, á Isaac, y á Jacob, diciendo: A tu simiente la daré. Hétela hecho ver con tus ojos, mas no pasarás allá.
5Y murió allí Moisés siervo de Jehová, en la tierra de Moab, conforme al dicho de Jehová.
6Y enterrólo en el valle, en tierra de Moab, enfrente de Bethpeor; y ninguno sabe su sepulcro hasta hoy.
7Y era Moisés de edad de ciento y veinte años cuando murió: sus ojos nunca se oscurecieron, ni perdió su vigor.
8Y lloraron los hijos de Israel á Moisés en los campos de Moab treinta días: y así se cumplieron los días del lloro del luto de Moisés.
9Y Josué hijo de Nun fué lleno de espíritu de sabiduría, porque Moisés había puesto sus manos sobre él: y los hijos de Israel le obedecieron, é hicieron como Jehová mandó á Moisés.
10Y nunca más se levantó profeta en Israel como Moisés, á quien haya conocido Jehová cara á cara;
11En todas las señales y prodigios que le envió Jehová á hacer en tierra de Egipto á Faraón, y á todos sus siervos, y á toda su tierra;
12Y en toda aquella mano esforzada, y en todo el espanto grande que causó Moisés á ojos de todo Israel.

1And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD shewed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan,
2And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea,
3And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar.
4And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.
5So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.
6And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Beth-peor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.
7And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.
8And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.
9And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.
10And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,
11In all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,
12And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel.
World English Bible
1Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is opposite Jericho. The LORD showed him all the land of Gilead to Dan,
2and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, to the Western Sea,
3and the south, and the Plain of the valley of Jericho the city of palm trees, to Zoar.
4The LORD said to him, “This is the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your offspring.’ I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.”
5So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the LORD’s word.
6He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab opposite Beth Peor, but no man knows where his tomb is to this day.
7Moses was one hundred twenty years old when he died. His eye was not dim, nor his strength gone.
8The children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days, until the days of weeping in the mourning for Moses were ended.
9Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. The children of Israel listened to him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.
10Since then, there has not arisen a prophet in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,
11in all the signs and the wonders which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,
12and in all the mighty hand, and in all the awesome deeds, which Moses did in the sight of all Israel.
