17Zu jener Zeit aber wird mein Zorn über sie entbrennen, und werde ich sie im Stiche lassen und mein Angesicht vor ihnen verbergen, und es wird der Vertilgung anheimfallen, und viele Übel und Drangsale werden es treffen. Zu jener Zeit wird es dann sprechen: Offenbar haben mich diese Übel deshalb betroffen, weil mein Gott nicht mehr in meiner Mitte ist.

17Y mi furor se encenderá contra él en aquel día; y los abandonaré, y esconderé de ellos mi rostro, y serán consumidos; y le hallarán muchos males y angustias, y dirá en aquel día: ¿No me han hallado estos males porque no está mi Dios en medio de mí?

17Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us?
