Das war ein grosses, zahlreiches und hochgewachsenes Volk, wie die Enakiter. Doch der Herr vertilgte sie vor ihnen, sodass sie ihr Land besetzten und sich an ihrer Stelle niederliessen, (1) d.h. die Ammoniter.

Pueblo grande, y numeroso, y alto, como los Anaceos; á los cuales Jehová destruyó de delante de los Ammonitas, quienes les sucedieron, y habitaron en su lugar:

A people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; but the LORD destroyed them before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead:
