También es conosida esa tierra como la tierra de los Refaim. Los Refaitas vivían ahí anteriomente, pero los Amonitas los llamaban Zomzomeos, que significa Gigantes.

(Por tierra de gigantes fué también ella tenida: habitaron en ella gigantes en otro tiempo, á los cuales los Ammonitas llamaban Zomzommeos;

(That also was accounted a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in old time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims;

(That also is considered a land of Rephaim. Rephaim lived there in the past, but the Ammonites call them Zamzummim,
