Deuteronomio 29
Tafel-Bibel
1Und Mose rief dem ganzen Israel und sprach zu ihnen: Ihr habt gesehen alles, was Jehovah vor euren Augen in Ägyptenland getan an Pharao und allen seinen Knechten und an seinem ganzen Land.
2Die großen Versuchungen, die deine Augen sahen, Seine Zeichen und großen Wahrzeichen.
3Aber Jehovah hat euch kein Herz gegeben zu erkennen, noch Augen zu sehen, noch Ohren zu hören, bis auf diesen Tag.
4Und die vierzig Jahre, die ich euch in der Wüste geführt, alterten nicht eure Gewänder an euch, und dein Schuh alterte nicht an deinem Fuß.
5Ihr habt kein Brot gegessen und keinen Wein noch starkes Getränk getrunken, auf daß ihr wisset, daß Ich, Jehovah, euer Gott, bin.
6Und ihr kamt an diesen Ort, und es zog aus Sichon der König von Cheschbon und Og, König von Baschan, uns entgegen zum Streite, und wir schlugen sie.
7Und wir nahmen ihr Land und gaben es zum Erbe dem Rubeniter und dem Gaditer und dem halben Stamm Menascheh.
8Und ihr sollt die Worte dieses Bundes halten und sie tun, auf daß ihr klug seiet in allem, was ihr tut.
9Ihr habt auch heute alle von euch vor Jehovah, euren Gott, gestellt: eure Häupter, eure Stämme, eure Ältesten und eure Vorsteher, alle Männer Israels.
10Eure Kindlein, eure Weiber und dein Fremdling, der in der Mitte deines Lagers ist, von dem, der dein Holz haut, bis zu dem, der dein Wasser schöpft.
11Auf daß du heute in den Bund Jehovahs, deines Gottes, übergehst und in Seinen Eid, den Jehovah, dein Gott, heute mit dir schließt,
12Auf daß Er heute dich als Sein Volk bestätige, und Er zum Gott dir sei, wie Er zu dir geredet hat, und wie Er deinen Vätern, dem Abraham, dem Isaak und dem Jakob geschworen hat.
13Und nicht mit euch, euch allein schließe Ich diesen Bund und diesen Eid,
14Sondern sowohl mit dem, der heute hier mit uns vor Jehovah, unserem Gotte, steht, als auch mit dem, der heute nicht bei uns ist;
15Denn ihr wisset, wie wir in Ägyptenland wohnten, und wie wir mitten durch die Völkerschaften durchzogen, durch die ihr durchzoget.
16Und sahet ihre Scheusale und ihre Götzen, Holz und Stein, Silber und Gold, die bei ihnen waren.
17Daß nicht unter euch ein Mann sei oder ein Weib, oder eine Familie oder ein Stamm, der heute sein Herz wende von Jehovah, unserem Gott, um zu gehen, zu dienen den Göttern dieser Völkerschaften, daß nicht unter euch sei eine Wurzel, die mit Galle und Wermut fruchtbar sei;
18Und es geschehe, daß er, wenn er die Worte dieses Eides hört, sich in seinem Herzen segne und spreche: Friede ist mir, wenn gleich ich in meines Herzens Eigensinn wandle, um das Schwelgende mit dem Dürstenden wegzuraffen.
19Jehovah ist nicht willens ihm zu vergeben, vielmehr wird dann Jehovahs Zorn und Sein Eifer rauchen wider diesen Mann, und auf ihm lagern alle Verwünschung, die in diesem Buch geschrieben ist, und Jehovah wird seinen Namen unter den Himmeln auswischen;
20Und Jehovah wird ihn ausscheiden zum Übel aus allen Stämmen Israels, nach all den Verwünschungen des Bundes, der im Buche dieses Gesetzes geschrieben ist.
21Und sprechen wird das spätere Geschlecht, eure Söhne, die nach euch erstehen, und der Ausländer, der aus fernem Lande kommt, und die sehen die Schläge dieses Landes und seine Krankheiten, die Jehovah sie erkranken läßt:
22Schwefel und Salz, eine Brandstätte wird all ihr Land sein, wird nicht besät werden, und nicht sprossen, und wird in ihm kein Kraut aufgehen, wie mit der Umkehrung von Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah und Zeboim, die Jehovah in Seinem Zorn und Grimm hat umgekehrt;
23Und alle Völkerschaften werden sprechen: Warum hat Jehovah also diesem Lande getan? Warum großer Zorn entbrannt?
24Und sie werden sagen: Darum, daß sie verließen den Bund Jehovahs, ihrer Väter Gott, den Er mit ihnen geschlossen, da Er sie aus Ägyptenland ausführte,
25Und gegangen sind und anderen Göttern dienten und sie anbeteten, Götter, die sie nicht kannten, und die ihnen nicht verteilt worden sind.
26Und es entbrannte Jehovahs Zorn wider dieses Land, so daß Er all den Fluch, der in diesem Buch geschrieben steht, über dasselbe hat gebracht.
27Und Jehovah rodete sie aus von ihrem Boden, in Zorn und in Grimm und in großer Entrüstung, und warf sie in ein anderes Land, wie an diesem Tag.
28Das Geheime ist Jehovahs, unseres Gottes, und das Geoffenbarte unser und unsrer Söhne ewiglich, zu tun all die Worte dieses Gesetzes.

1ESTAS son las palabras del pacto que Jehová mandó á Moisés concertara con los hijos de Israel en la tierra de Moab, además del pacto que concertó con ellos en Horeb.
2Moisés pues llamó á todo Israel, y díjoles: Vosotros habéis visto todo lo que Jehová ha hecho delante de vuestros ojos en la tierra de Egipto á Faraón y á todos sus siervos, y á toda su tierra:
3Las pruebas grandes que vieron tus ojos, las señales, y las grandes maravillas.
4Y Jehová no os dió corazón para entender, ni ojos para ver, ni oídos para oir, hasta el día de hoy.
5Y yo os he traído cuarenta años por el desierto: vuestros vestidos no se han envejecido sobre vosotros, ni tu zapato se ha envejecido sobre tu pie.
6No habéis comido pan, ni bebisteis vino ni sidra: para que supieseis que yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios.
7Y llegasteis á este lugar, y salió Sehón rey de Hesbón, y Og rey de Basán, delante de nosotros para pelear, y herímoslos;
8Y tomamos su tierra, y dímosla por heredad á Rubén y á Gad, y á la media tribu de Manasés.
9Guardaréis, pues, las palabras de este pacto, y las pondréis por obra, para que prosperéis en todo lo que hiciereis.
10Vosotros todos estáis hoy delante de Jehová vuestro Dios; vuestros príncipes de vuestras tribus, vuestros ancianos, y vuestros oficiales, todos los varones de Israel,
11Vuestros niños, vuestras mujeres, y tus extranjeros que habitan en medio de tu campo, desde el que corta tu leña hasta el que saca tus aguas:
12Para que entres en el pacto de Jehová tu Dios, y en su juramento, que Jehová tu Dios acuerda hoy contigo:
13Para confirmarte hoy por su pueblo, y que él te sea á ti por Dios, de la manera que él te ha dicho, y como él juró á tus padres Abraham, Isaac, y Jacob.
14Y no con vosotros solos acuerdo yo este pacto y este juramento,
15Sino con los que están aquí presentes hoy con nosotros delante de Jehová nuestro Dios, y con los que no están aquí hoy con nosotros.
16Porque vosotros sabéis cómo habitamos en la tierra de Egipto, y cómo hemos pasado por medio de las gentes que habéis pasado;
17Y habéis visto sus abominaciones, y sus ídolos, madera y piedra, plata y oro, que tienen consigo.
18Quizá habrá entre vosotros varón, ó mujer, ó familia, ó tribu, cuyo corazón se vuelva hoy de con Jehová nuestro Dios, por andar á servir á los dioses de aquellas gentes; quizá habrá en vosotros raíz que eche veneno y ajenjo;
19Y sea que, cuando el tal oyere las palabras de esta maldición, él se bendiga en su corazón, diciendo: Tendré paz, aunque ande según el pensamiento de mi corazón, para añadir la embriaguez á la sed:
20Jehová no querrá perdonarle; antes humeará luego el furor de Jehová y su celo sobre el tal hombre, y asentaráse sobre él toda maldición escrita en este libro, y Jehová raerá su nombre de debajo del cielo:
21Y apartarálo Jehová de todas las tribus de Israel para mal, conforme á todas las maldiciones del pacto escrito en este libro de la ley.
22Y dirá la generación venidera, vuestros hijos que vendrán después de vosotros, y el extranjero que vendrá de lejanas tierras, cuando vieren las plagas de aquesta tierra, y sus enfermedades de que Jehová la hizo enfermar,
23(Azufre y sal, abrasada toda su tierra: no será sembrada, ni producirá, ni crecerá en ella hierba ninguna, como en la subversión de Sodoma y de Gomorra, de Adma y de Seboim, que Jehová subvirtió en su furor y en su ira:)
24Dirán, pues, todas las gentes: ¿Por qué hizo Jehová esto á esta tierra? ¿qué ira es ésta de tan gran furor?
25Y responderán: Por cuanto dejaron el pacto de Jehová el Dios de sus padres, que él concertó con ellos cuando los sacó de la tierra de Egipto,
26Y fueron y sirvieron á dioses ajenos, é inclináronse á ellos, dioses que no conocían, y que ninguna cosa les habían dado:
27Encendióse por tanto, el furor de Jehová contra esta tierra, para traer sobre ella todas las maldiciones escritas en este libro;
28Y Jehová los desarraigó de su tierra con enojo, y con saña, y con furor grande, y los echó á otra tierra, como hoy.
29Las cosas secretas pertenecen á Jehová nuestro Dios: mas las reveladas son para nosotros y para nuestros hijos por siempre, para que cumplamos todas las palabras de esta ley.

1These are the words of the covenant, which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.
2And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;
3The great temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles:
4Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.
5And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot.
6Ye have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know that I am the LORD your God.
7And when ye came unto this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, came out against us unto battle, and we smote them:
8And we took their land, and gave it for an inheritance unto the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half tribe of Manasseh.
9Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do.
10Ye stand this day all of you before the LORD your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men of Israel,
11Your little ones, your wives, and thy stranger that is in thy camp, from the hewer of thy wood unto the drawer of thy water:
12That thou shouldest enter into covenant with the LORD thy God, and into his oath, which the LORD thy God maketh with thee this day:
13That he may establish thee to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto thee a God, as he hath said unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
14Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath;
15But with him that standeth here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with him that is not here with us this day:
16(For ye know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which ye passed by;
17And ye have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)
18Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;
19And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
20The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.
21And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law:
22So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the LORD hath laid upon it;
23And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:
24Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger?
25Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt:
26For they went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given unto them:
27And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:
28And the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.
29The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

3the great trials which your eyes saw, the signs, and those great wonders.
4But the LORD has not given you a heart to know, eyes to see, and ears to hear, to this day.
5I have led you forty years in the wilderness. Your clothes have not grown old on you, and your sandals have not grown old on your feet.
6You have not eaten bread, neither have you drunk wine or strong drink, that you may know that I am the LORD your God.
7When you came to this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon and Og the king of Bashan came out against us to battle, and we struck them.
8We took their land, and gave it for an inheritance to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half-tribe of the Manassites.
9Therefore keep the words of this covenant and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.

12that you may enter into the covenant of the LORD your God, and into his oath, which the LORD your God makes with you today,
13that he may establish you today as his people, and that he may be your God, as he spoke to you and as he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
14Neither do I make this covenant and this oath with you only,
15but with those who stand here with us today before the LORD our God, and also with those who are not here with us today
16(for you know how we lived in the land of Egypt, and how we came through the middle of the nations through which you passed;
17and you have seen their abominations and their idols of wood, stone, silver, and gold, which were among them);
18lest there should be among you man, woman, family, or tribe whose heart turns away today from the LORD our God, to go to serve the gods of those nations; lest there should be among you a root that produces bitter poison;
19and it happen, when he hears the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, “I shall have peace, though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart,” to destroy the moist with the dry.
20The LORD will not pardon him, but then the LORD’s anger and his jealousy will smoke against that man, and all the curse that is written in this book will fall on him, and the LORD will blot out his name from under the sky.
21The LORD will set him apart for evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant written in this book of the law.
22The generation to come—your children who will rise up after you, and the foreigner who will come from a far land—will say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses with which the LORD has made it sick,
23that all of its land is sulfur, salt, and burning, that it is not sown, doesn’t produce, nor does any grass grow in it, like the overthrow of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath.
24Even all the nations will say, “Why has the LORD done this to this land? What does the heat of this great anger mean?”
25Then men will say, “Because they abandoned the covenant of the LORD, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them out of the land of Egypt,
26and went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods that they didn’t know and that he had not given to them.
27Therefore the LORD’s anger burned against this land, to bring on it all the curses that are written in this book.
28The LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, in wrath, and in great indignation, and thrust them into another land, as it is today.”
