ESTAS son las palabras del pacto que Jehová mandó á Moisés concertara con los hijos de Israel en la tierra de Moab, además del pacto que concertó con ellos en Horeb.

auf daß er dich heute ihm zum Volk aufrichte, und er dein Gott sei, wie er dir geredet hat und wie er deinen Vatern, Abraham, Isaak und Jakob, geschworen hat.
Para que entres en el pacto de Jehová tu Dios, y en su juramento, que Jehová tu Dios acuerda hoy contigo:

Quizá habrá entre vosotros varón, ó mujer, ó familia, ó tribu, cuyo corazón se vuelva hoy de con Jehová nuestro Dios, por andar á servir á los dioses de aquellas gentes; quizá habrá en vosotros raíz que eche veneno y ajenjo;
Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;

Da wird der HERR dem nicht gnadig sein, sondern dann wird sein Zorn und Eifer rauchen uber solchen Mann, und werden sich auf ihn legen alle Fluche, die in diesem Buch geschrieben sind. Und der HERR wird seinen Namen austilgen unter dem Himmel
Y sea que, cuando el tal oyere las palabras de esta maldición, él se bendiga en su corazón, diciendo: Tendré paz, aunque ande según el pensamiento de mi corazón, para añadir la embriaguez á la sed:
And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
and it happen, when he hears the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, “I shall have peace, though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart,” to destroy the moist with the dry.
und wird ihn absondern zum Unglück aus alien Stammen Israels laut aller Fluche des Bundes, der in dem Buch dieses Gesetzes geschrieben ist.
Jehová no querrá perdonarle; antes humeará luego el furor de Jehová y su celo sobre el tal hombre, y asentaráse sobre él toda maldición escrita en este libro, y Jehová raerá su nombre de debajo del cielo:
The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.

So werden dann sagen die Nachkommen eurer Kinder, die nach euch aufkommen werden, und die Fremden, die aus fernen Landen kommen, so sie die Plagen dieses Landes sehen und die Krankheiten, damit sie der HERR beladen hat,

daß er all ihr Land mit Schwefel und Salz verbrannt hat, daß es nicht besaet werden mag, noch wachset, noch kein Kraut drinnen aufgehet, gleichwie Sodom und Gomorrha, Adama und Zeboim umgekehret sind, die der HERR in seinem Zorn und Grimm umgekehret hat.
Y dirá la generación venidera, vuestros hijos que vendrán después de vosotros, y el extranjero que vendrá de lejanas tierras, cuando vieren las plagas de aquesta tierra, y sus enfermedades de que Jehová la hizo enfermar,
So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the LORD hath laid upon it;
The generation to come—your children who will rise up after you, and the foreigner who will come from a far land—will say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses with which the LORD has made it sick,
So werden alle Volker sagen: Warum hat der HERR diesem Lande also getan? Was ist das fur so großer, grimmiger Zorn?
(Azufre y sal, abrasada toda su tierra: no será sembrada, ni producirá, ni crecerá en ella hierba ninguna, como en la subversión de Sodoma y de Gomorra, de Adma y de Seboim, que Jehová subvirtió en su furor y en su ira:)
And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:
that all of its land is sulfur, salt, and burning, that it is not sown, doesn’t produce, nor does any grass grow in it, like the overthrow of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath.
So wird man sagen: Darum daß sie den Bund des HERRN, ihrer Vater Gott, verlassen haben, den er mit ihnen machte, da er sie aus Agyptenland führete;
Dirán, pues, todas las gentes: ¿Por qué hizo Jehová esto á esta tierra? ¿qué ira es ésta de tan gran furor?
Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger?
Even all the nations will say, “Why has the LORD done this to this land? What does the heat of this great anger mean?”
und sind hingegangen und haben andern Gottern gedienet und sie angebetet, solche Gotter, die sie nicht kennen, und die ihnen nichts gegeben haben;
Y responderán: Por cuanto dejaron el pacto de Jehová el Dios de sus padres, que él concertó con ellos cuando los sacó de la tierra de Egipto,
Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt:

darum ist des HERRN Zorn ergrimmet über dies Land, daß er über sie hat kommen lassen alle Fluche, die in diesem Buch geschrieben stehen;
Y fueron y sirvieron á dioses ajenos, é inclináronse á ellos, dioses que no conocían, y que ninguna cosa les habían dado:
For they went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given unto them:
and went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods that they didn’t know and that he had not given to them.
und der HERR hat sie aus ihrem Lande gestoßen mit großem Zorn, Grimm und Ungnade und hat sie in ein ander Land geworfen, wie es stehet heutigestages.
Encendióse por tanto, el furor de Jehová contra esta tierra, para traer sobre ella todas las maldiciones escritas en este libro;

Das Geheimnis des HERRN, unsers Gottes, ist offenbaret uns und unsern Kindern ewiglich, daß wir tun sollen alle Worte dieses Gesetzes.

Las cosas secretas pertenecen á Jehová nuestro Dios: mas las reveladas son para nosotros y para nuestros hijos por siempre, para que cumplamos todas las palabras de esta ley.
