1Si un homme a pris une femme, s'il a cohabité avec elle et s'il arrive qu'elle n'ait point trouvé grâce devant lui, parce qu'il aura remarqué en elle quelque difformité ; s'il a écrit à son sujet un acte de divorce, s'il le lui a remis, et s'il l'a expulsée de sa maison ;

1When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.

1When a man takes a wife and marries her, then it shall be, if she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some unseemly thing in her, that he shall write her a certificate of divorce, put it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
