Deuteronomio 22
La Sainte Bible (Ostervald)
1Si tu vois le bœuf ou la brebis de ton frère égarés, tu ne t'en détourneras point, tu ne manqueras point de les ramener à ton frère.
2Que si ton frère ne demeure pas près de toi, et que tu ne le connaisses pas, tu les retireras dans ta maison; et ils seront avec toi jusqu'à ce que ton frère vienne les chercher, et alors tu les lui rendras.
3Tu feras de même pour son âne, et tu feras de même pour son vêtement, et toute autre chose que ton frère aura perdue et que tu auras trouvée; tu ne pourras point t'en détourner.
4Si tu vois l'âne de ton frère, ou son bœuf, tombés dans le chemin, tu ne t'en détourneras point; tu les relèveras avec lui.
5Une femme ne portera point un habit d'homme, et un homme ne se revêtira point d'un habit de femme; car quiconque fait ces choses, est en abomination à l'Éternel ton Dieu.
6Quand tu rencontreras dans le chemin, sur quelque arbre, ou sur la terre, un nid d'oiseau, avec des petits ou des œufs, et la mère couvant les petits ou les œufs, tu ne prendras point la mère avec les petits;
7Tu laisseras aller la mère, et tu prendras les petits pour toi, afin que tu sois heureux, et que tu prolonges tes jours.
8Quand tu bâtiras une maison neuve, tu feras un parapet à ton toit, de peur que tu ne rendes ta maison responsable du sang, si quelqu'un tombait de là.
9Tu ne planteras pas ta vigne de diverses sortes de plants, de peur que le tout, le plant que tu auras planté et le produit de ta vigne, ne soit mis à part.
10Tu ne laboureras point avec un bœuf et un âne attelés ensemble.
11Tu ne t'habilleras point d'un tissu mélangé, laine et lin ensemble.
12Tu feras des franges aux quatre pans du manteau dont tu te couvres.
13Lorsqu'un homme aura pris une femme, et qu'après être venu vers elle, il la haïra,
14Et lui imputera des actions qui fassent parler d'elle, et la diffamera, et dira: J'ai pris cette femme, et quand je me suis approché d'elle, je ne l'ai point trouvée vierge;
15Le père et la mère de la jeune fille prendront et produiront les marques de sa virginité devant les anciens de la ville, à la porte;
16Et le père de la jeune fille dira aux anciens: J'ai donné ma fille à cet homme pour femme, et il l'a prise en aversion;
17Et voici, il lui impute des actions qui font parler d'elle, en disant: Je n'ai point trouvé que ta fille fût vierge; or, voici les marques de la virginité de ma fille. Et ils étendront le vêtement devant les anciens de la ville.
18Alors les anciens de cette ville prendront le mari, et le châtieront.
19Et ils le condamneront à une amende de cent pièces d'argent, qu'ils donneront au père de la jeune fille, parce qu'il a diffamé une vierge d'Israël; et elle sera sa femme, il ne pourra la renvoyer tant qu'il vivra.
20Mais si ce qu'il a dit est véritable, que la jeune fille n'ait point été trouvée vierge,
21Ils feront sortir la jeune fille à la porte de la maison de son père, et les gens de sa ville la lapideront, et elle mourra; car elle a commis une infamie en Israël, en se prostituant dans la maison de son père; tu ôteras ainsi le méchant du milieu de toi.
22Quand on trouvera un homme couché avec une femme mariée, ils mourront tous deux, l'homme qui a couché avec la femme, et la femme; tu ôteras ainsi le méchant d'Israël.
23Quand une jeune fille vierge sera fiancée à quelqu'un, et qu'un homme, l'ayant trouvée dans la ville, aura couché avec elle,
24Vous les ferez sortir tous deux à la porte de cette ville, et vous les lapiderez, et ils mourront: la jeune fille, parce qu'elle n'a point crié dans la ville, et l'homme, parce qu'il a violé la femme de son prochain; et tu ôteras le méchant du milieu de toi.
25Mais si l'homme trouve dans les champs la jeune fille fiancée, et que, lui faisant violence, il couche avec elle, alors l'homme qui aura couché avec elle mourra seul;
26Et tu ne feras rien à la jeune fille; la jeune fille n'a point commis de péché digne de mort; car il en est de ce cas, comme si un homme s'élevait contre son prochain et lui ôtait la vie;
27Car il l'a trouvée aux champs: la jeune fille fiancée a pu crier, sans que personne l'ait délivrée.
28Si un homme trouve une jeune fille vierge, qui ne soit point fiancée, et que, la saisissant, il couche avec elle, et qu'ils soient trouvés;
29L'homme qui a couché avec elle donnera au père de la jeune fille cinquante pièces d'argent, et elle sera sa femme, parce qu'il l'a humiliée. Il ne pourra pas la renvoyer tant qu'il vivra.
30Nul ne prendra la femme de son père, ni ne lèvera le bord de la couverture de son père.

1NO verás el buey de tu hermano, ó su cordero, perdidos, y te retirarás de ellos: precisamente los volverás á tu hermano.
2Y si tu hermano no fuere tu vecino, ó no le conocieres, los recogerás en tu casa, y estarán contigo hasta que tu hermano los busque, y se los devolverás.
3Y así harás de su asno, así harás también de su vestido, y lo mismo harás con toda cosa perdida de tu hermano que se le perdiere, y tú la hallares: no podrás retraerte de ello.
4No verás el asno de tu hermano, ó su buey, caídos en el camino, y te esconderás de ellos: con él has de procurar levantarlos.
5No vestirá la mujer hábito de hombre, ni el hombre vestirá ropa de mujer; porque abominación es á Jehová tu Dios cualquiera que esto hace.
6Cuando topares en el camino algún nido de ave en cualquier árbol, ó sobre la tierra, con pollos ó huevos, y estuviere la madre echada sobre los pollos ó sobre los huevos, no tomes la madre con los hijos:
7Dejarás ir á la madre, y tomarás los pollos para ti; para que te vaya bien, y prolongues tus días.
8Cuando edificares casa nueva, harás pretil á tu terrado, porque no pongas sangre en tu casa, si de él cayere alguno.
9No sembrarás tu viña de varias semillas, porque no se deprave la plenitud de la semilla que sembraste, y el fruto de la viña.
10No ararás con buey y con asno juntamente.
11No te vestirás de mistura, de lana y lino juntamente.
12Hacerte has flecos en los cuatro cabos de tu manto con que te cubrieres.
13Cuando alguno tomare mujer, y después de haber entrado á ella la aborreciere,
14Y le pusiere algunas faltas, y esparciere sobre ella mala fama, y dijere: Esta tomé por mujer, y llegué á ella, y no la hallé virgen;
15Entonces el padre de la moza y su madre tomarán, y sacarán las señales de la virginidad de la doncella á los ancianos de la ciudad, en la puerta.
16Y dirá el padre de la moza á los ancianos: Yo dí mi hija á este hombre por mujer, y él la aborrece;
17Y, he aquí, él le pone tachas de algunas cosas, diciendo: No he hallado tu hija virgen; empero, he aquí las señales de la virginidad de mi hija. Y extenderán la sábana delante de los ancianos de la ciudad.
18Entonces los ancianos de la ciudad tomarán al hombre y lo castigarán;
19Y le han de penar en cien piezas de plata, las cuales darán al padre de la moza, por cuanto esparció mala fama sobre virgen de Israel: y la ha de tener por mujer, y no podrá despedirla en todos sus días.
20Mas si este negocio fué verdad, que no se hubiere hallado virginidad en la moza,
21Entonces la sacarán á la puerta de la casa de su padre, y la apedrearán con piedras los hombres de su ciudad, y morirá; por cuanto hizo vileza en Israel fornicando en casa de su padre: así quitarás el mal de en medio de ti.
22Cuando se sorprendiere alguno echado con mujer casada con marido, entrambos morirán, el hombre que se acostó con la mujer, y la mujer: así quitarás el mal de Israel.
23Cuando fuere moza virgen desposada con alguno, y alguno la hallare en la ciudad, y se echare con ella;
24Entonces los sacaréis á ambos á la puerta de aquella ciudad, y los apedrearéis con piedras, y morirán; la moza porque no dió voces en la ciudad, y el hombre porque humilló á la mujer de su prójimo: así quitarás el mal de en medio de ti.
25Mas si el hombre halló una moza desposada en el campo, y él la agarrare, y se echare con ella, morirá sólo el hombre que con ella se habrá echado;
26Y á la moza no harás nada; no tiene la moza culpa de muerte: porque como cuando alguno se levanta contra su prójimo, y le quita la vida, así es esto:
27Porque él la halló en el campo: dió voces la moza desposada, y no hubo quien la valiese.
28Cuando alguno hallare moza virgen, que no fuere desposada, y la tomare, y se echare con ella, y fueren hallados;
29Entonces el hombre que se echó con ella dará al padre de la moza cincuenta piezas de plata, y ella será su mujer, por cuanto la humilló: no la podrá despedir en todos sus días.
30No tomará alguno la mujer de su padre, ni descubrirá el regazo de su padre.

1Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.
2And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.
3In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother’s, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.
4Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.
5The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.
6If a bird’s nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:
7But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.
8When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence.
9Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.
10Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.
11Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.
12Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.
13If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,
14And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid:
15Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel’s virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate:
16And the damsel’s father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her;
17And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter’s virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
18And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;
19And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.
20But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:
21Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father’s house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.
22If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.
23If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;
24Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.
25But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die:
26But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:
27For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.
28If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
29Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel’s father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.
30A man shall not take his father’s wife, nor discover his father’s skirt.
World English Bible
1You shall not see your brother’s ox or his sheep go astray and hide yourself from them. You shall surely bring them again to your brother.
2If your brother isn’t near to you, or if you don’t know him, then you shall bring it home to your house, and it shall be with you until your brother comes looking for it, and you shall restore it to him.
3So you shall do with his donkey. So you shall do with his garment. So you shall do with every lost thing of your brother’s, which he has lost and you have found. You may not hide yourself.
4You shall not see your brother’s donkey or his ox fallen down by the way, and hide yourself from them. You shall surely help him to lift them up again.
5A woman shall not wear men’s clothing, neither shall a man put on women’s clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD your God.
6If you come across a bird’s nest on the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, and the hen sitting on the young, or on the eggs, you shall not take the hen with the young.
7You shall surely let the hen go, but the young you may take for yourself, that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days.
8When you build a new house, then you shall make a railing around your roof, so that you don’t bring blood on your house if anyone falls from there.
9You shall not sow your vineyard with two kinds of seed, lest all the fruit be defiled, the seed which you have sown, and the increase of the vineyard.

11You shall not wear clothes of wool and linen woven together.
12You shall make yourselves fringes on the four corners of your cloak with which you cover yourself.
13If any man takes a wife, and goes in to her, hates her,
14accuses her of shameful things, gives her a bad name, and says, “I took this woman, and when I came near to her, I didn’t find in her the tokens of virginity;”
15then the young lady’s father and mother shall take and bring the tokens of the young lady’s virginity to the elders of the city in the gate.
16The young lady’s father shall tell the elders, “I gave my daughter to this man as his wife, and he hates her.
17Behold, he has accused her of shameful things, saying, ‘I didn’t find in your daughter the tokens of virginity;’ and yet these are the tokens of my daughter’s virginity.” They shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
18The elders of that city shall take the man and chastise him.
19They shall fine him one hundred shekels of silver, and give them to the father of the young lady, because he has given a bad name to a virgin of Israel. She shall be his wife. He may not put her away all his days.
20But if this thing is true, that the tokens of virginity were not found in the young lady,
21then they shall bring out the young lady to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has done folly in Israel, to play the prostitute in her father’s house. So you shall remove the evil from among you.
22If a man is found lying with a woman married to a husband, then they shall both die, the man who lay with the woman and the woman. So you shall remove the evil from Israel.
23If there is a young lady who is a virgin pledged to be married to a husband, and a man finds her in the city, and lies with her,
24then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city, and you shall stone them to death with stones; the lady, because she didn’t cry, being in the city; and the man, because he has humbled his neighbor’s wife. So you shall remove the evil from among you.
25But if the man finds the lady who is pledged to be married in the field, and the man forces her and lies with her, then only the man who lay with her shall die;
26but to the lady you shall do nothing. There is in the lady no sin worthy of death; for as when a man rises against his neighbor and kills him, even so is this matter;
27for he found her in the field, the pledged to be married lady cried, and there was no one to save her.
28If a man finds a lady who is a virgin, who is not pledged to be married, grabs her and lies with her, and they are found,
29then the man who lay with her shall give to the lady’s father fifty shekels of silver. She shall be his wife, because he has humbled her. He may not put her away all his days.
30A man shall not take his father’s wife, and shall not uncover his father’s skirt.
