Deuteronomio 21

1"Wird in dem Lande, das dir der Herr, dein Gott, zu eigen gibt, jemand erschlagen auf dem Felde liegend gefunden, und man weiß nicht, wer ihn erschlagen,
2dann sollen deine Ältesten, und zwar deine Richter, hinausgehen und bis zu den Städten messen, die rings um den Erschlagenen sind!
3Aus der Stadt, die dem Erschlagenen zunächst liegt, sollen die Ältesten dieser Stadt eine junge Kuh nehmen, mit der noch nicht gearbeitet worden ist und die noch an keinem Joch gezogen hat!
4Dann sollen die Ältesten dieser Stadt die junge Kuh in einen steinigen Bachgrund führen, wo nicht geackert und gesät wird! Und sie sollen dort in dem steinigen Bachgrunde der jungen Kuh das Genick brechen!
5Darauf sollen die Priester, die Levitensöhne, herantreten; denn sie hat der Herr, dein Gott, erwählt, ihm zu amten und mit des Herrn Namen zu segnen, und nach ihrem Ausspruche soll über jeden Streit und Schaden entschieden werden!
6Aus jener Stadt, die dem Erschlagenen am nächsten ist, sollen alle Ältesten über der jungen Kuh, der in dem steinigen Bachgrunde das Genick gebrochen worden, ihre Hände waschen
7und sollen laut sprechen: 'Nicht haben unsere Hände dieses Blut vergossen, und unsere Augen haben es nicht gesehen!
8Vergib, Herr, Deinem Volke Israel, das Du erlöst, und lege nicht Deinem Volke Israel unschuldig Blut auf!' So wird die Blutschuld ihnen gesühnt.
9So sollst du selbst unschuldig vergossenes Blut tilgen aus deiner Mitte! Denn du sollst tun, was recht ist in den Augen des Herrn!
10Ziehst du gegen deinen Feind zu Feld, und gibt der Herr, dein Gott, ihn in deine Hand, und machst du von ihm Gefangene
11und erblickst du unter den Gefangenen ein Weib, schön von Gestalt, und wirst du von Liebe zu ihr ergriffen und möchtest du sie dir zum Weibe nehmen,
12dann bringe sie in dein Haus, daß sie ihr Haupt enthülle, ihre Nägel schneide,
13ihre Gefangenentracht ablege, in deinem Haus bleibe und Vater und Mutter einen Monat betrauere! Dann darfst du zu ihr eingehen und sie ehelichen, daß sie dein Weib sei.
14Gefällt sie dir aber nicht mehr, dann gib sie ganz frei! Keinesfalls darfst du sie um Geld verkaufen. Du darfst gegen sie nicht roh sein, weil du sie geschwächt hast.
15Hat ein Mann zwei Frauen, die eine bevorzugt, die andere zurückgesetzt, und gebären ihm beide Söhne, die bevorzugte und die zurückgesetzte, und stammt der erstgeborene Sohn von der zurückgesetzten,
16und setzt der Mann seine Söhne zu Erben ein über alles, was sein ist, dann darf er nicht dem Sohne der Bevorzugten vor dem Sohne der Zurückgesetzten, dem Erstgeborenen, die Rechte des Erstgeborenen geben.
17Er muß den Erstgeborenen, den Sohn der Zurückgesetzten, anerkennen und ihm von allem, was sich bei ihm findet, zwei Drittel geben. Denn dieser ist der Erstling seiner Kraft. Ihm gehört das Erstgeburtsrecht.
18Hat jemand einen mißratenen und widerspenstigen Sohn, der nicht die Stimme des Vaters und der Mutter hört, wenn sie ihn zurechtweisen, und der ihnen nicht gehorcht,
19so sollen ihn Vater und Mutter ergreifen und vor die Ältesten seiner Stadt führen, zum Tor seines Ortes!
20Sie sollen zu den Ältesten seiner Stadt sagen: 'Dieser unser Sohn ist mißraten und widerspenstig, er hört nicht auf unsere Stimme; er ist ein Schlemmer und Säufer!'
21Dann sollen ihn alle Männer seiner Stadt zu Tode steinigen! So tilge das Böse aus deiner Mitte! Ganz Israel soll es hören und sich fürchten!
22Liegt auf jemand eine Schuld, ein todeswürdiges Verbrechen, und wird er hingerichtet und hängst du ihn an einen Baum,
23so darf sein Leichnam nicht über Nacht an dem Baume bleiben; du mußt ihn begraben noch am gleichen Tage. Denn ein Gehängter ist ein Gottesfluch. Du darfst dein Land nicht verunreinigen, das dir der Herr, dein Gott, zu eigen gibt."

1CUANDO fuere hallado en la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da para que la poseas, muerto echado en el campo, y no se supiere quién lo hirió,
2Entonces tus ancianos y tus jueces saldrán y medirán hasta las ciudades que están alrededor del muerto:
3Y será, que los ancianos de aquella ciudad, de la ciudad más cercana al muerto, tomarán de la vacada una becerra que no haya servido, que no haya traído yugo;
4Y los ancianos de aquella ciudad traerán la becerra á un valle áspero, que nunca haya sido arado ni sembrado, y cortarán el pescuezo á la becerra allí en el valle.
5Entonces vendrán los sacerdotes hijos de Leví, porque á ellos escogió Jehová tu Dios para que le sirvan, y para bendecir en nombre de Jehová; y por el dicho de ellos se determinará todo pleito y toda llaga.
6Y todos los ancianos de aquella ciudad más cercana al muerto lavarán sus manos sobre la becerra degollada en el valle.
7Y protestarán, y dirán: Nuestras manos no han derramado esta sangre, ni nuestros ojos lo vieron.
8Expía á tu pueblo Israel, al cual redimiste, oh Jehová; y no imputes la sangre inocente derramada en medio de tu pueblo Israel. Y la sangre les será perdonada.
9Y tú quitarás la culpa de sangre inocente de en medio de ti, cuando hicieres lo que es recto en los ojos de Jehová.
10Cuando salieres á la guerra contra tus enemigos, y Jehová tu Dios los entregare en tu mano, y tomares de ellos cautivos,
11Y vieres entre los cautivos alguna mujer hermosa, y la codiciares, y la tomares para ti por mujer,
12La meterás en tu casa; y ella raerá su cabeza, y cortará sus uñas,
13Y se quitará el vestido de su cautiverio, y quedaráse en tu casa: y llorará á su padre y á su madre el tiempo de un mes: y después entrarás á ella, y tu serás su marido, y ella tu mujer.
14Y será, si no te agradare, que la has de dejar en su libertad; y no la venderás por dinero, ni mercadearás con ella, por cuanto la afligiste.
15Cuando un hombre tuviere dos mujeres, la una amada y la otra aborrecida, y la amada y la aborrecida le parieren hijos, y el hijo primogénito fuere de la aborrecida;
16Será que, el día que hiciere heredar á sus hijos lo que tuviere, no podrá dar el derecho de primogenitura á los hijos de la amada en preferencia al hijo de la aborrecida, que es el primogénito;
17Mas al hijo de la aborrecida reconocerá por primogénito, para darle dos tantos de todo lo que se hallare que tiene: porque aquél es el principio de su fuerza, el derecho de la primogenitura es suyo.
18Cuando alguno tuviere hijo contumaz y rebelde, que no obedeciere á la voz de su padre ni á la voz de su madre, y habiéndolo castigado, no les obedeciere;
19Entonces tomarlo han su padre y su madre, y lo sacarán á los ancianos de su ciudad, y á la puerta del lugar suyo;
20Y dirán á los ancianos de la ciudad: Este nuestro hijo es contumaz y rebelde, no obedece á nuestra voz; es glotón y borracho.
21Entonces todos los hombres de su ciudad lo apedrearán con piedras, y morirá: así quitarás el mal de en medio de ti; y todo Israel oirá, y temerá.
22Cuando en alguno hubiere pecado de sentencia de muerte, por el que haya de morir, y le habrás colgado en un madero,
23No estará su cuerpo por la noche en el madero, mas sin falta lo enterrarás el mismo día, porque maldición de Dios es el colgado: y no contaminarás tu tierra, que Jehová tu Dios te da por heredad.

1If one be found slain in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it, lying in the field, and it be not known who hath slain him:
2Then thy elders and thy judges shall come forth, and they shall measure unto the cities which are round about him that is slain:
3And it shall be, that the city which is next unto the slain man, even the elders of that city shall take an heifer, which hath not been wrought with, and which hath not drawn in the yoke;
4And the elders of that city shall bring down the heifer unto a rough valley, which is neither eared nor sown, and shall strike off the heifer’s neck there in the valley:
5And the priests the sons of Levi shall come near; for them the LORD thy God hath chosen to minister unto him, and to bless in the name of the LORD; and by their word shall every controversy and every stroke be tried:
6And all the elders of that city, that are next unto the slain man, shall wash their hands over the heifer that is beheaded in the valley:
7And they shall answer and say, Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen it.
8Be merciful, O LORD, unto thy people Israel, whom thou hast redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto thy people of Israel’s charge. And the blood shall be forgiven them.
9So shalt thou put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD.
10When thou goest forth to war against thine enemies, and the LORD thy God hath delivered them into thine hands, and thou hast taken them captive,
11And seest among the captives a beautiful woman, and hast a desire unto her, that thou wouldest have her to thy wife;
12Then thou shalt bring her home to thine house; and she shall shave her head, and pare her nails;
13And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thine house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go in unto her, and be her husband, and she shall be thy wife.
14And it shall be, if thou have no delight in her, then thou shalt let her go whither she will; but thou shalt not sell her at all for money, thou shalt not make merchandise of her, because thou hast humbled her.
15If a man have two wives, one beloved, and another hated, and they have born him children, both the beloved and the hated; and if the firstborn son be hers that was hated:
16Then it shall be, when he maketh his sons to inherit that which he hath, that he may not make the son of the beloved firstborn before the son of the hated, which is indeed the firstborn:
17But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for the firstborn, by giving him a double portion of all that he hath: for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his.
18If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them:
19Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place;
20And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard.
21And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.
22And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree:
23His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
World English Bible
1If someone is found slain in the land which the LORD your God gives you to possess, lying in the field, and it isn’t known who has struck him,
2then your elders and your judges shall come out, and they shall measure to the cities which are around him who is slain.
3It shall be that the elders of the city which is nearest to the slain man shall take a heifer of the herd, which hasn’t been worked with and which has not drawn in the yoke.
4The elders of that city shall bring the heifer down to a valley with running water, which is neither plowed nor sown, and shall break the heifer’s neck there in the valley.
5The priests the sons of Levi shall come near, for them the LORD your God has chosen to minister to him, and to bless in the LORD’s name; and according to their word shall every controversy and every assault be decided.
6All the elders of that city which is nearest to the slain man shall wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the valley.
7They shall answer and say, “Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen it.
8Forgive, LORD, your people Israel, whom you have redeemed, and don’t allow innocent blood among your people Israel.” The blood shall be forgiven them.
9So you shall put away the innocent blood from among you, when you shall do that which is right in the LORD’s eyes.
10When you go out to battle against your enemies, and the LORD your God delivers them into your hands and you carry them away captive,
11and see among the captives a beautiful woman, and you are attracted to her, and desire to take her as your wife,
12then you shall bring her home to your house. She shall shave her head and trim her nails.
13She shall take off the clothing of her captivity, and shall remain in your house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month. After that you shall go in to her and be her husband, and she shall be your wife.
14It shall be, if you have no delight in her, then you shall let her go where she desires; but you shall not sell her at all for money. You shall not deal with her as a slave, because you have humbled her.
15If a man has two wives, the one beloved and the other hated, and they have borne him children, both the beloved and the hated, and if the firstborn son is hers who was hated,
16then it shall be, in the day that he causes his sons to inherit that which he has, that he may not give the son of the beloved the rights of the firstborn before the son of the hated, who is the firstborn;
17but he shall acknowledge the firstborn, the son of the hated, by giving him a double portion of all that he has; for he is the beginning of his strength. The right of the firstborn is his.
18If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and though they chasten him, will not listen to them,
19then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city and to the gate of his place.
20They shall tell the elders of his city, “This our son is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey our voice. He is a glutton and a drunkard.”
21All the men of his city shall stone him to death with stones. So you shall remove the evil from among you. All Israel shall hear, and fear.
22If a man has committed a sin worthy of death, and he is put to death, and you hang him on a tree,
23his body shall not remain all night on the tree, but you shall surely bury him the same day; for he who is hanged is accursed of God. Don’t defile your land which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance.
