16Luego, cuando entrega sus bienes a sus hijos por su herencia, no debe poner al hijo de su ser querido en el lugar del primer hijo, el hijo de la odiada esposa:

16Será que, el día que hiciere heredar á sus hijos lo que tuviere, no podrá dar el derecho de primogenitura á los hijos de la amada en preferencia al hijo de la aborrecida, que es el primogénito;

16Then it shall be, when he maketh his sons to inherit that which he hath, that he may not make the son of the beloved firstborn before the son of the hated, which is indeed the firstborn:
