Deuteronomio 1

Estas son las palabras que Moisés habló a todo Israel mas allá del río Jordán en el desierto, en la parte plana del valle del río Jordán frente a la tierra de Suf, entre las tierras de Parán, Tofel, Labán, Hazerot y Dizahab.

ESTAS son las palabras que habló Moisés á todo Israel de esta parte del Jordán en el desierto, en el llano delante del mar Bermejo, entre Parán, y Thopel, y Labán, y Haseroth, y Dizahab.

These be the words which Moses spake unto all Israel on this side Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab.

These are the words which Moses spoke to all Israel beyond the Jordan in the wilderness, in the Arabah opposite Suf, between Paran, Tophel, Laban, Hazeroth, and Dizahab.

Son once días de camino desde el Monte Horeb camino al Monte Seir rumbo a la tierra de Cades Barnea.

Once jornadas hay desde Horeb, camino del monte de Seir, hasta Cades-barnea.

(There are eleven days’ journey from Horeb by the way of mount Seir unto Kadesh-barnea.)

Despues de cuarenta años en el mes once, en el primer día del mes que salieron de Egipto, que Moisés habló al pueblo de Israel, diciéndoles todo lo que el SEÑOR le había ordenado a él acerca de ellos.

Y fué, que á los cuarenta años, en el mes undécimo, al primero del mes, Moisés habló á los hijos de Israel conforme á todas las cosas que Jehová le había mandado acerca de ellos;

And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spake unto the children of Israel, according unto all that the LORD had given him in commandment unto them;

Esto fue después que el SEÑOR había atacado a Sehón el rey de los Amorreos, quién vivía en Hesbón, y a Og, el rey de Basán, quien vivía en Astarot en Edrei.

Después que hirió á Sehón rey de los Amorrheos, que habitaba en Hesbón, y á Og rey de Basán, que habitaba en Astarot en Edrei:

After he had slain Sihon the king of the Amorites, which dwelt in Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, which dwelt at Astaroth in Edrei:

after he had struck Sihon the king of the Amorites who lived in Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan who lived in Ashtaroth, at Edrei.

Mas allá del Jordán, en la tierra de Moab, Moisés comenzó a anunciar estas instrucciones, diciendo:

De esta parte del Jordán, en tierra de Moab, resolvió Moisés declarar esta ley, diciendo:

On this side Jordan, in the land of Moab, began Moses to declare this law, saying,

Beyond the Jordan, in the land of Moab, Moses began to declare this law, saying,

'"EL SEÑOR nuestro Dios nos habló en Horeb, diciendo: 'Ustedes han vivido mucho tiempo en estas montañas.

Jehová nuestro Dios nos habló en Horeb, diciendo: Harto habéis estado en este monte;

The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:

“The LORD our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying, ‘You have lived long enough at this mountain.

Caminene pues a las montañas de los Amorreos y a todos los lugares cerca de allí en las planicies del valle del río Jordán, en la zona montañosa, en la tierra baja, en el Neguev, y por la costa— la tierra de los cananeos, y en el Líbano, tan lejos como hasta el gran río, el Éufrates.

Volveos, partíos é id al monte del Amorrheo, y á todas sus comarcas, en el llano, en el monte, y en los valles, y al mediodía, y á la costa de la mar, á la tierra del Cananeo, y el Líbano, hasta el gran río, el río Eufrates.

Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates.

Turn, and take your journey, and go to the hill country of the Amorites and to all the places near there: in the Arabah, in the hill country, in the lowland, in the South, by the seashore, in the land of the Canaanites, and in Lebanon as far as the great river, the river Euphrates.

Miren, he puesto la tierra delante de ustedes; entren y posean la tierra que EL SEÑOR le juró a sus padres—a Abraham, a Isaac, y a Jacob—para darles a ellos y a sus descendientes después de ellos.'

Mirad, yo he dado la tierra en vuestra presencia; entrad y poseed la tierra que Jehová juró á vuestros padres Abraham, Isaac, y Jacob, que les daría á ellos y á su simiente después de ellos.

Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.

Behold, I have set the land before you. Go in and possess the land which the LORD swore to your fathers—to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob—to give to them and to their offspring after them.’”

Yo hablé a ustedes en ese tiempo, diciendo: ' Yo solo no puedo sostenerlos a ustedes.

Y yo os hablé entonces, diciendo: Yo no puedo llevaros solo:

And I spake unto you at that time, saying, I am not able to bear you myself alone:

I spoke to you at that time, saying, “I am not able to bear you myself alone.

EL SEÑOR su Dios los ha multiplicado, y miren hoy, ustedes son muchos como las estrellas del cielo.

Jehová vuestro Dios os ha multiplicado, y he aquí sois hoy vosotros como las estrellas del cielo en multitud.

The LORD your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude.

The LORD your God has multiplied you, and behold, you are today as the stars of the sky for multitude.

¡Qué EL SEÑOR, el Dios de sus padres, los haga mil veces más de lo que son, y los bendiga, como Él les ha prometido!

¡Jehová Dios de vuestros padres añada sobre vosotros como sois mil veces, y os bendiga, como os ha prometido!

(The LORD God of your fathers make you a thousand times so many more as ye are, and bless you, as he hath promised you!)

May the LORD, the God of your fathers, make you a thousand times as many as you are and bless you, as he has promised you!

Pero, ¿cómo puedo yo solo llevar sus cargas, sus aflicciones y sus desacuerdos?

¿Cómo llevaré yo solo vuestras molestias, vuestras cargas, y vuestros pleitos?

How can I myself alone bear your cumbrance, and your burden, and your strife?

How can I myself alone bear your problems, your burdens, and your strife?

Tomen hombres sabios, hombres entendidos, y hombres de buena fama en el pueblo, de cada tribu, y los haré cabezas sobre ustedes.'

Dadme de entre vosotros, de vuestras tribus, varones sabios y entendidos y expertos, para que yo los ponga por vuestros jefes.

Take you wise men, and understanding, and known among your tribes, and I will make them rulers over you.

Take wise men of understanding who are respected among your tribes, and I will make them heads over you.”

Ustedes me respondieron y dijeron: 'La cosa que has hablado es bueno para que nosotros lo hagamos.'

Y me respondisteis, y dijisteis: Bueno es hacer lo que has dicho.

And ye answered me, and said, The thing which thou hast spoken is good for us to do.

You answered me, and said, “The thing which you have spoken is good to do.”

Así que, tomé las cabezas de sus tribus, hombres sabios, y hombres de buena fama, y los hice cabezas sobre ustedes, jefes de mil hombres, capitanes de cien, jefes de cincuenta, jefes de diez, y oficiales, tribu por tribu.

Y tomé los principales de vuestras tribus, varones sabios y expertos, y púselos por jefes sobre vosotros, jefes de millares, y jefes de cientos, y jefes de cincuenta, y cabos de diez, y gobernadores á vuestras tribus.

So I took the chief of your tribes, wise men, and known, and made them heads over you, captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, and captains over fifties, and captains over tens, and officers among your tribes.

So I took the heads of your tribes, wise and respected men, and made them heads over you, captains of thousands, captains of hundreds, captains of fifties, captains of tens, and officers, according to your tribes.

Yo ordené a sus jueces en ese tiempo, diciendo: "Escuchen los desacuerdos entre sus hermanos, y juzguen rectamente entre un hombre y su hermano, y el extranjero quien está con él.

Y entonces mandé á vuestros jueces, diciendo: Oid entre vuestros hermanos, y juzgad justamente entre el hombre y su hermano, y el que le es extranjero.

And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him.

I commanded your judges at that time, saying, “Hear cases between your brothers and judge righteously between a man and his brother, and the foreigner who is living with him.

Ustedes no mostrarán preferencia por nadie en ningun desacuerdo; escucharán al pequeño y al grande del mísmo modo. No tendrán miedo de nadie, porque el juicio es de Dios. El desacuerdo que sea muy difícil para ustedes, lo traerán a mí, y yo la escucharé.'

No tengáis respeto de personas en el juicio: así al pequeño como al grande oiréis: no tendréis temor de ninguno, porque el juicio es de Dios: y la causa que os fuere difícil, la traeréis á mí, y yo la oiré.

Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God’s: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it.

You shall not show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small and the great alike. You shall not be afraid of the face of man, for the judgment is God’s. The case that is too hard for you, you shall bring to me, and I will hear it.”

Yo les ordené a ustedes en ese tiempo todas las cosas que debían hacer.

Os mandé, pues, en aquel tiempo todo lo que habíais de hacer.

And I commanded you at that time all the things which ye should do.

Viajamos lejos desde Horeb y fuimos por medio de todo el gran y terrible desierto que ustedes vieron, de camino a la zona montañosa de los amorreos, como EL SEÑOR nuestro Dios nos había ordenado; y llegamos a Cades Barnea.

Y partidos de Horeb, anduvimos todo aquel grande y terrible desierto que habéis visto, por el camino del monte del Amorrheo, como Jehová nuestro Dios nos lo mandó; y llegamos hasta Cades-barnea.

And when we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which ye saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadesh-barnea.

We traveled from Horeb and went through all that great and terrible wilderness which you saw, by the way to the hill country of the Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadesh Barnea.

Les dije: 'Han venido a la zona montañosa de los amorreros, la cual EL SEÑOR nuestro Dios nos está dando.

Entonces os dije: Llegado habéis al monte del Amorrheo, el cual Jehová nuestro Dios nos da.

And I said unto you, Ye are come unto the mountain of the Amorites, which the LORD our God doth give unto us.

I said to you, “You have come to the hill country of the Amorites, which the LORD our God gives to us.

Miren, el SEÑOR su Dios ha puesto la tierra delante de ustedes; suban, tomen posesión, como EL SEÑOR, el Dios de sus padres, les ha hablado a ustedes; no tengan miedo, ni tampoco se desanimen.'

Mira, Jehová tu Dios ha dado delante de ti la tierra: sube y poséela, como Jehová el Dios de tus padres te ha dicho; no temas ni desmayes.

Behold, the LORD thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged.

Behold, the LORD your God has set the land before you. Go up, take possession, as the LORD the God of your fathers has spoken to you. Don’t be afraid, neither be dismayed.”

Cada uno de ustedes vino a mí y dijo: 'Déjanos enviar hombres delante de nosotros, para que ellos puedan explorar la tierra por nosotros, y nos traigan palabra acerca del camino por el cual deberíamos atacar, y acerca de las ciudades en las cuales entraremos.'

Y llegasteis á mí todos vosotros, y dijisteis: Enviemos varones delante de nosotros, que nos reconozcan la tierra y nos traigan de vuelta razón del camino por donde hemos de subir, y de las ciudades adonde hemos de llegar.

And ye came near unto me every one of you, and said, We will send men before us, and they shall search us out the land, and bring us word again by what way we must go up, and into what cities we shall come.

You came near to me, everyone of you, and said, “Let’s send men before us, that they may search the land for us, and bring back to us word of the way by which we must go up, and the cities to which we shall come.”

El consejo me pareció bien; tomé doce hombres de entre ustedes, un hombre por cada tribu.

Y el dicho me pareció bien: y tomé doce varones de vosotros, un varón por tribu:

And the saying pleased me well: and I took twelve men of you, one of a tribe:

The thing pleased me well. I took twelve of your men, one man for every tribe.

Ellos se fueron y subieron a la zona montañosa, llegaron al valle de Escol y lo exploraron.

Y se encaminaron, y subieron al monte, y llegaron hasta la arroyada de Escol, y reconocieron la tierra.

And they turned and went up into the mountain, and came unto the valley of Eshcol, and searched it out.

They turned and went up into the hill country, and came to the valley of Eshcol, and spied it out.

Tomaron de los frutos que dió la tierra en sus manos y nos la trajeron. Y también nos dijeron: 'Es una buena tierra la que EL SEÑOR nuestro Dios nos está dando.'

Y tomaron en sus manos del fruto del país, y nos lo trajeron, y diéronnos cuenta, y dijeron: Es buena la tierra que Jehová nuestro Dios nos da.

And they took of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought it down unto us, and brought us word again, and said, It is a good land which the LORD our God doth give us.

They took some of the fruit of the land in their hands and brought it down to us, and brought us word again, and said, “It is a good land which the LORD our God gives to us.”

Aún así, ustedes no quisieron atacar, sino que no obedecieron la orden del SEÑOR su Dios.

Empero no quisisteis subir, antes fuisteis rebeldes al dicho de Jehová vuestro Dios;

Notwithstanding ye would not go up, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God:

Yet you wouldn’t go up, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God.

Se quejaron en sus tiendas y dijeron: 'Es porque EL SEÑOR nos odió que Él nos ha traido fuera de la tierra de Egipto, para entregarnos en la mano de los amorreos para destruirnos.

Y murmurasteis en vuestras tiendas, diciendo: Porque Jehová nos aborrecía, nos ha sacado de tierra de Egipto, para entregarnos en mano del Amorrheo para destruirnos.

And ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.

You murmured in your tents, and said, “Because the LORD hated us, he has brought us out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites to destroy us.

¿A dónde podremos ir ahora? Nuestros hermanos han hecho que nuestros corazones se llenen de miedo, diciendo: 'Esas personas son grandes y más altás que nosotros; sus ciudades son grandes y están rodeada totalmente de paredes muy altas hasta los cielos; y sobre todo, hemos visto a los hijos de Anac allí.'''

¿A dónde subimos? Nuestros hermanos han hecho desfallecer nuestro corazón, diciendo: Este pueblo es mayor y más alto que nosotros, las ciudades grandes y muradas hasta el cielo; y también vimos allí hijos de gigantes.

Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there.

Where are we going up? Our brothers have made our heart melt, saying, ‘The people are greater and taller than we. The cities are great and fortified up to the sky. Moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakim there!’”

Luego les dije a ustedes: 'No se aterroricen, ni tampoco tengan miedo de ellos.

Entonces os dije: No temáis, ni tengáis miedo de ellos.

Then I said unto you, Dread not, neither be afraid of them.

Then I said to you, “Don’t be terrified. Don’t be afraid of them.

EL SEÑOR su Dios, quien va delante de ustedes, Él peleará por ustedes, como todo lo que hizo por ustedes en Egipto ante sus ojos,

Jehová vuestro Dios, el cual va delante de vosotros, él peleará por vosotros, conforme á todas las cosas que hizo por vosotros en Egipto delante de vuestros ojos;

The LORD your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes;

The LORD your God, who goes before you, he will fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes,

y también en el desierto, en donde han visto cómo EL SEÑOR su Dios los sostuvo, como un hombre carga a su hijo, a todo lugar que ustedes fueron hasta que llegaron a este lugar.'

Y en el desierto has visto que Jehová tu Dios te ha traído, como trae el hombre á su hijo, por todo el camino que habéis andado, hasta que habéis venido á este lugar.

And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place.

and in the wilderness where you have seen how that the LORD your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went, until you came to this place.”

Pero a ustedes no les importó La Palabra de SU SEÑOR y no creyeron en EL SEÑOR SU DIOS

Y aun con esto no creisteis en Jehová vuestro Dios,

Yet in this thing ye did not believe the LORD your God,

Yet in this thing you didn’t believe the LORD your God,

quien fue delante de ustedes para encontrar lugar donde acampar, en fuego por la noche y en nubes de día.

El cual iba delante de vosotros por el camino, para reconoceros el lugar donde habíais de asentar el campo, con fuego de noche para mostraros el camino por donde anduvieseis, y con nube de día.

Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day.

who went before you on the way, to seek out a place for you to pitch your tents in: in fire by night, to show you by what way you should go, and in the cloud by day.

EL SEÑOR escuchó el sonido de sus palabras y estaba enojado; Él juró y dijo:

Y oyó Jehová la voz de vuestras palabras, y enojóse, y juró diciendo:

And the LORD heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and sware, saying,

The LORD heard the voice of your words and was angry, and swore, saying,

'Ciertamente ninguno de estos hombres de esta generación perversa verá la buena tierra que juré darle a sus antepasados,

No verá hombre alguno de estos de esta mala generación, la buena tierra que juré había de dar á vuestros padres,

Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers,

“Surely not one of these men of this evil generation shall see the good land which I swore to give to your fathers,

excepto Caleb hijo de Jefone; él la verá. A él daré la tierra que ha pisado, y a sus hijos, porque él ha seguido enteramente a Dios.'

Excepto Caleb hijo de Jephone: él la verá, y á él le daré la tierra que pisó, y á sus hijos; porque cumplió en pos de Jehová.

Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the LORD.

except Caleb the son of Jephunneh. He shall see it. I will give the land that he has trodden on to him and to his children, because he has wholly followed the LORD.”

También, EL SEÑOR estaba enojado conmigo por culpa de ustedes, diciendo: 'Tú tampoco entrarás allí;

Y también contra mí se airó Jehová por vosotros, diciendo: Tampoco tú entrarás allá:

Also the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, saying, Thou also shalt not go in thither.

Also the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, saying, “You also shall not go in there.

Josué hijo de Nun, quien está de pie delante de tí, él entrará allí; anímalo, porque él guiará a Israel a heredarla.

Josué hijo de Nun, que está delante de ti, él entrará allá: anímale; porque él la hará heredar á Israel.

But Joshua the son of Nun, which standeth before thee, he shall go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.

Joshua the son of Nun, who stands before you, shall go in there. Encourage him, for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.

Además, tus pequeños hijos, los cuales dijiste que serían víctimas, quienes hoy no tienen conocimiento del bien o el mal—ellos entrarán allí. A ellos se la daré, y ellos la poseerán.

Y vuestros chiquitos, de los cuales dijisteis serán por presa, y vuestros hijos que no saben hoy bueno ni malo, ellos entrarán allá, y á ellos la daré, y ellos la heredarán.

Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it.

Moreover your little ones, whom you said would be captured or killed, your children, who today have no knowledge of good or evil, shall go in there. I will give it to them, and they shall possess it.

Pero en cuanto a ti, regresa y comienza tu viaje en el desierto a lo largo del camino al Mar Rojo.'

Y vosotros volveos, y partíos al desierto camino del mar Bermejo.

But as for you, turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.

But as for you, turn, and take your journey into the wilderness by the way to the Red Sea.”

Luego ustedes respondieron y me dijeron: 'Hemos pecado contra EL SEÑOR; subiremos y pelearemos, y seguiremos todo lo que EL SEÑOR nuestro Dios nos ha ordenado hacer'. Cada hombre de entre ustedes se puso sus armas de guerra, y estaban listos para atacar la zona montañosa.

Entonces respondisteis y me dijisteis: Pecado hemos contra Jehová; nosotros subiremos y pelearemos, conforme á todo lo que Jehová nuestro Dios nos ha mandado. Y os armasteis cada uno de sus armas de guerra, y os apercibisteis para subir al monte.

Then ye answered and said unto me, We have sinned against the LORD, we will go up and fight, according to all that the LORD our God commanded us. And when ye had girded on every man his weapons of war, ye were ready to go up into the hill.

Then you answered and said to me, “We have sinned against the LORD. We will go up and fight, according to all that the LORD our God commanded us.” Every man of you put on his weapons of war, and presumed to go up into the hill country.

EL SEÑOR me dijo: 'Diles a ellos: ''No ataquen y no peleen, porque Yo no estaré con ustedes, y serán derrotados por sus enemigos.'

Y Jehová me dijo: Diles: No subáis, ni peleéis, pues no estoy entre vosotros; porque no seáis heridos delante de vuestros enemigos.

And the LORD said unto me, Say unto them, Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest ye be smitten before your enemies.

The LORD said to me, “Tell them, ‘Don’t go up and don’t fight; for I am not among you, lest you be struck before your enemies.’”

Yo les hablé de esta manera, pero no escucharon. Ustedes se rebelaron contra el mandato del SEÑOR; ustedes fueron arrogantes y atacaron la zona montañosa.

Y os hablé, y no disteis oído; antes fuisteis rebeldes al dicho de Jehová, y persistiendo con altivez, subisteis al monte.

So I spake unto you; and ye would not hear, but rebelled against the commandment of the LORD, and went presumptuously up into the hill.

So I spoke to you, and you didn’t listen; but you rebelled against the commandment of the LORD, and were presumptuous, and went up into the hill country.

Pero los amorreos, quienes vivían en esa zona montañosa, salieron en contra de ustedes y los persiguieron como abejas, y los hirieron en Seir, tan lejos como hasta Horma.

Y salió el Amorrheo, que habitaba en aquel monte, á vuestro encuentro, y os persiguieron, como hacen las avispas, y os derrotaron en Seir, persiguiéndoos hasta Horma.

And the Amorites, which dwelt in that mountain, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and destroyed you in Seir, even unto Hormah.

The Amorites, who lived in that hill country, came out against you and chased you as bees do, and beat you down in Seir, even to Hormah.

Ustedes regresaron y lloraron ante El SEÑOR, pero EL SEÑOR no escuchó sus voces, ni les prestó atención a ustedes.

Y volvisteis, y llorasteis delante de Jehová; pero Jehová no escuchó vuestra voz, ni os prestó oído.

And ye returned and wept before the LORD; but the LORD would not hearken to your voice, nor give ear unto you.

You returned and wept before the LORD, but the LORD didn’t listen to your voice, nor turn his ear to you.

Así que se que quedaron en la tierra de Cades muchos días, todos los días que pasaron allí.

Y estuvisteis en Cades por muchos días, como en los días que habéis estado.

So ye abode in Kadesh many days, according unto the days that ye abode there.

So you stayed in Kadesh many days, according to the days that you remained.
