Deuteronomio 18

1Die Priester, die Leviten, der ganze Stamm Levi soll keinen Teil und Erbe mit Israel haben. Die Feueropfer Jehovahs und sein Erbe sollen sie essen.
2Aber ein Erbe soll er nicht haben in seiner Brüder Mitte. Jehovah ist sein Erbe, wie Er zu ihm geredet.
3Und dies sei das Recht der Priester von dem Volke, von denen, die opfern das Opfer, ob Ochse, ob Kleinvieh: so gebe man dem Priester den Bug und die Kinnbacken und den Magen.
4Die Erstlinge deines Korns, deines Mostes und deines Öls, und die Erstlinge der Schur deines Kleinviehs sollst du ihm geben.
5Denn ihn hat Jehovah, dein Gott, aus allen deinen Stämmen erwählt, daß er stehe, um Dienst zu tun im Namen Jehovahs, er und seine Söhne alle Tage.
6Und so der Levite hereinkommt aus einem deiner Tore von ganz Israel, wo er sich aufhält, und kommt nach allem Gelüsten seiner Seele zu dem Ort, den Jehovah erwählen wird,
7Und tut den Dienst im Namen Jehovahs, seines Gottes, wie alle seine Brüder, die Leviten, die dort stehen vor Jehovah.
8So sollen sie zu gleichen Teilen essen, außer dem Verkauften von seinen Vätern.
9So du in das Land hereinkommst, das Jehovah, dein Gott, dir gibt, sollst du nicht lernen zu tun nach den Greueln dieser Völkerschaften.
10Nicht soll bei dir gefunden werden einer, der seinen Sohn und seine Tochter durch das Feuer durchgehen läßt, der Wahrsagerei treibt, ein Wolkendeuter und ein Beschwörer und ein Zauberer;
11Ein Bannsprecher, ein Geisterfrager, ein Zeichendeuter, einer, der Tote befragt.
12Denn ein jeder, der solches tut, der ist Jehovah ein Greuel, und dieser Greuel wegen treibt Jehovah, dein Gott, sie vor dir aus.
13Untadelig sollst du sein mit Jehovah, deinem Gott.
14Denn diese Völkerschaften, die du austreibst, hörten auf Wolkendeuter und auf Wahrsager, dir aber hat Jehovah, dein Gott, solches nicht gegeben.
15Einen Propheten wie mich wird Jehovah, dein Gott, dir aus deiner Mitte von deinen Brüdern erstehen lassen. Ihn sollt ihr hören.
16Nach allem, das du am Choreb am Tage der Versammlung von Jehovah, deinem Gott, dir erbatest, da du sprachst: Ich will nicht weiter die Stimme Jehovahs, meines Gottes, hören, und das große Feuer da nicht ferner sehen, daß ich nicht sterbe;
17Und es sprach zu mir Jehovah: Es ist gut, was sie reden.
18Und will ihnen aus ihrer Brüder Mitte einen Propheten erstehen lassen wie du, und Meine Worte will Ich ihm in den Mund geben, auf daß er alles zu ihnen rede, was Ich ihm gebiete.
19Und es wird geschehen, daß von dem Mann, der nicht auf Meine Worte hört, die er in Meinem Namen reden soll, Ich es von ihm fordern werde.
20Der Prophet aber, der sich vermißt, ein Wort zu reden in Meinem Namen, das Ich ihm nicht geboten habe zu reden, und der im Namen anderer Götter redet, derselbe Prophet soll sterben.
21Und wenn du sprichst in deinem Herzen: Wie sollen wir erkennen das Wort, das Jehovah nicht zu ihm geredet hat?
22Was der Prophet im Namen Jehovahs reden wird, und das Wort geschieht nicht und kommt nicht, das ist das Wort, das Jehovah nicht geredet hat. Mit Vermessenheit hat es der Prophet geredet. Laß dir vor ihm nicht bange sein!

1LOS sacerdotes Levitas, toda la tribu de Leví, no tendrán parte ni heredad con Israel; de las ofrendas encendidas á Jehová, y de la heredad de él comerán.
2No tendrán, pues, heredad entre sus hermanos: Jehová es su heredad, como él les ha dicho.
3Y este será el derecho de los sacerdotes de parte del pueblo, de los que ofrecieren en sacrificio buey ó cordero: darán al sacerdote la espalda, y las quijadas, y el cuajar.
4Las primicias de tu grano, de tu vino, y de tu aceite, y las primicias de la lana de tus ovejas le darás:
5Porque le ha escogido Jehová tu Dios de todas tus tribus, para que esté para ministrar al nombre de Jehová, él y sus hijos para siempre.
6Y cuando el Levita saliere de alguna de tus ciudades de todo Israel, donde hubiere peregrinado, y viniere con todo deseo de su alma al lugar que Jehová escogiere,
7Ministrará al nombre de Jehová su Dios, como todos sus hermanos los Levitas que estuvieren allí delante de Jehová.
8Porción como la porción de los otros comerán, además de sus patrimonios.
9Cuando hubieres entrado en la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da, no aprenderás á hacer según las abominaciones de aquellas gentes.
10No sea hallado en ti quien haga pasar su hijo ó su hija por el fuego, ni practicante de adivinaciones, ni agorero, ni sortílego, ni hechicero,
11Ni fraguador de encantamentos, ni quien pregunte á pitón, ni mágico, ni quien pregunte á los muertos.
12Porque es abominación á Jehová cualquiera que hace estas cosas, y por estas abominaciones Jehová tu Dios las echó de delante de ti.
13Perfecto serás con Jehová tu Dios.
14Porque estas gentes que has de heredar, á agoreros y hechiceros oían: mas tú, no así te ha dado Jehová tu Dios.
15Profeta de en medio de ti, de tus hermanos, como yo, te levantará Jehová tu Dios: á él oiréis:
16Conforme á todo lo que pediste á Jehová tu Dios en Horeb el día de la asamblea, diciendo: No vuelva yo á oir la voz de Jehová mi Dios, ni vea yo más este gran fuego, porque no muera.
17Y Jehová me dijo: Bien han dicho.
18Profeta les suscitaré de en medio de sus hermanos, como tú; y pondré mis palabras en su boca, y él les hablará todo lo que yo le mandare.
19Mas será, que cualquiera que no oyere mis palabras que él hablare en mi nombre, yo le residenciaré.
20Empero el profeta que presumiere hablar palabra en mi nombre, que yo no le haya mandado hablar, ó que hablare en nombre de dioses ajenos, el tal profeta morirá.
21Y si dijeres en tu corazón: ¿Cómo conoceremos la palabra que Jehová no hubiere hablado?
22Cuando el profeta hablare en nombre de Jehová, y no fuere la tal cosa, ni viniere, es palabra que Jehová no ha hablado: con soberbia la habló aquel profeta: no tengas temor de él.

1The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and his inheritance.
2Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the LORD is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them.
3And this shall be the priest’s due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw.
4The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him.
5For the LORD thy God hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, to stand to minister in the name of the LORD, him and his sons for ever.
6And if a Levite come from any of thy gates out of all Israel, where he sojourned, and come with all the desire of his mind unto the place which the LORD shall choose;
7Then he shall minister in the name of the LORD his God, as all his brethren the Levites do, which stand there before the LORD.
8They shall have like portions to eat, beside that which cometh of the sale of his patrimony.
9When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
10There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
11Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
13Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.
14For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.
15The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
16According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
17And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
18I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
19And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
20But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
21And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?
22When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
World English Bible
1The priests and the Levites—all the tribe of Levi—shall have no portion nor inheritance with Israel. They shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire and his portion.
2They shall have no inheritance among their brothers. The LORD is their inheritance, as he has spoken to them.
3This shall be the priests’ due from the people, from those who offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep, that they shall give to the priest: the shoulder, the two cheeks, and the inner parts.
4You shall give him the first fruits of your grain, of your new wine, and of your oil, and the first of the fleece of your sheep.
5For the LORD your God has chosen him out of all your tribes to stand to minister in the LORD’s name, him and his sons forever.
6If a Levite comes from any of your gates out of all Israel where he lives, and comes with all the desire of his soul to the place which the LORD shall choose,
7then he shall minister in the name of the LORD his God, as all his brothers the Levites do, who stand there before the LORD.
8They shall have like portions to eat, in addition to that which comes from the sale of his family possessions.
9When you have come into the land which the LORD your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the abominations of those nations.
10There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who tells fortunes, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer,
11or a charmer, or someone who consults with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12For whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD. Because of these abominations, the LORD your God drives them out from before you.
13You shall be blameless with the LORD your God.
14For these nations that you shall dispossess listen to those who practice sorcery and to diviners; but as for you, the LORD your God has not allowed you so to do.
15The LORD your God will raise up to you a prophet from among you, of your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him.
16This is according to all that you desired of the LORD your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, “Let me not hear again the LORD my God’s voice, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I not die.”
17The LORD said to me, “They have well said that which they have spoken.
18I will raise them up a prophet from among their brothers, like you. I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him.
19It shall happen, that whoever will not listen to my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
20But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.”
21You may say in your heart, “How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?”
22When a prophet speaks in the LORD’s name, if the thing doesn’t follow, nor happen, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You shall not be afraid of him.
