Deuteronomio 18

“And there shall not be for the Levitical priests, the whole tribe of Levi, a plot of ground and an inheritance with Israel, rather they may eat an offering made by fire as their inheritance, for Yahweh.

LOS sacerdotes Levitas, toda la tribu de Leví, no tendrán parte ni heredad con Israel; de las ofrendas encendidas á Jehová, y de la heredad de él comerán.

The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel: they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and his inheritance.

The priests and the Levites—all the tribe of Levi—shall have no portion nor inheritance with Israel. They shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire and his portion.

And there shall not be for them an inheritance of land in the midst of his brothers; rather Yahweh is his inheritance, just as he ⌞promised⌟ to them.

No tendrán, pues, heredad entre sus hermanos: Jehová es su heredad, como él les ha dicho.

Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the LORD is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them.

They shall have no inheritance among their brothers. The LORD is their inheritance, as he has spoken to them.

Now this shall be the share of the priest from the people, from ⌞those who sacrifice the sacrifice⌟, whether it is an ox, sheep, or goat, and they shall give the priest the shoulder and the jawbones and the stomach.

Y este será el derecho de los sacerdotes de parte del pueblo, de los que ofrecieren en sacrificio buey ó cordero: darán al sacerdote la espalda, y las quijadas, y el cuajar.

And this shall be the priest’s due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw.

This shall be the priests’ due from the people, from those who offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep, that they shall give to the priest: the shoulder, the two cheeks, and the inner parts.

The firstfruits of your grain, your wine, and your olive oil and the firstfruits of the fleece of your sheep you shall give to him.

Las primicias de tu grano, de tu vino, y de tu aceite, y las primicias de la lana de tus ovejas le darás:

The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him.

You shall give him the first fruits of your grain, of your new wine, and of your oil, and the first of the fleece of your sheep.

For Yahweh your God has chosen him from among all your tribes to stand to minister in the name of Yahweh, he and his sons ⌞forever⌟.

Porque le ha escogido Jehová tu Dios de todas tus tribus, para que esté para ministrar al nombre de Jehová, él y sus hijos para siempre.

For the LORD thy God hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, to stand to minister in the name of the LORD, him and his sons for ever.

For the LORD your God has chosen him out of all your tribes to stand to minister in the LORD’s name, him and his sons forever.

And if a Levite comes from one of your ⌞towns⌟ from ⌞anywhere in Israel⌟ where he is residing, ⌞he may come whenever he desires⌟, to the place that Yahweh will choose,

Y cuando el Levita saliere de alguna de tus ciudades de todo Israel, donde hubiere peregrinado, y viniere con todo deseo de su alma al lugar que Jehová escogiere,

And if a Levite come from any of thy gates out of all Israel, where he sojourned, and come with all the desire of his mind unto the place which the LORD shall choose;

If a Levite comes from any of your gates out of all Israel where he lives, and comes with all the desire of his soul to the place which the LORD shall choose,

and he may minister in the name of Yahweh his God, just like all his brothers, ⌞the Levites who stand there⌟ ⌞before⌟ Yahweh.

Ministrará al nombre de Jehová su Dios, como todos sus hermanos los Levitas que estuvieren allí delante de Jehová.

Then he shall minister in the name of the LORD his God, as all his brethren the Levites do, which stand there before the LORD.

They shall eat ⌞equal portions⌟, apart from what he may receive from the sale of his patrimony.

Porción como la porción de los otros comerán, además de sus patrimonios.

They shall have like portions to eat, beside that which cometh of the sale of his patrimony.

They shall have like portions to eat, in addition to that which comes from the sale of his family possessions.

“When you come to the land that Yahweh your God is giving to you, you must not learn to do like the detestable practices of those nations.

Cuando hubieres entrado en la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da, no aprenderás á hacer según las abominaciones de aquellas gentes.

When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

When you have come into the land which the LORD your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the abominations of those nations.

There shall not be found among you one who makes his son or his daughter go through the fire, or ⌞one who practices divination⌟, or an interpreter of signs, or an augur, or sorcerer,

No sea hallado en ti quien haga pasar su hijo ó su hija por el fuego, ni practicante de adivinaciones, ni agorero, ni sortílego, ni hechicero,

There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,

There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who tells fortunes, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer,

or one who casts magic spells, or one who consults a spirit of the dead, or spiritist, or one who inquires of the dead.

Ni fraguador de encantamentos, ni quien pregunte á pitón, ni mágico, ni quien pregunte á los muertos.

Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

or a charmer, or someone who consults with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

For everyone doing these things is detestable to Yahweh, and because of these detestable things Yahweh your God is driving them out from ⌞before you⌟.

Porque es abominación á Jehová cualquiera que hace estas cosas, y por estas abominaciones Jehová tu Dios las echó de delante de ti.

For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

For whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD. Because of these abominations, the LORD your God drives them out from before you.

You must be blameless before Yahweh your God.

Perfecto serás con Jehová tu Dios.

Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.

You shall be blameless with the LORD your God.

For these nations that you are about to dispossess listen to interpreters of signs and to diviners, but Yahweh your God has not allowed you to do the same.

Porque estas gentes que has de heredar, á agoreros y hechiceros oían: mas tú, no así te ha dado Jehová tu Dios.

For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.

For these nations that you shall dispossess listen to those who practice sorcery and to diviners; but as for you, the LORD your God has not allowed you so to do.

“Yahweh your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your midst, from your countrymen, and to him you shall listen.

Profeta de en medio de ti, de tus hermanos, como yo, te levantará Jehová tu Dios: á él oiréis:

The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

The LORD your God will raise up to you a prophet from among you, of your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him.

This is ⌞according to all that you asked⌟ from Yahweh your God at Horeb, on the day of the assembly, ⌞saying⌟, ‘⌞I do not want again to hear⌟ the voice of Yahweh my God, and I do not want to see again this great fire, so that I may not die!’

Conforme á todo lo que pediste á Jehová tu Dios en Horeb el día de la asamblea, diciendo: No vuelva yo á oir la voz de Jehová mi Dios, ni vea yo más este gran fuego, porque no muera.

According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.

This is according to all that you desired of the LORD your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, “Let me not hear again the LORD my God’s voice, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I not die.”

And Yahweh said to me, ‘They are right in what they have said.

Y Jehová me dijo: Bien han dicho.

And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.

The LORD said to me, “They have well said that which they have spoken.

I will raise up a prophet for them ⌞from among their countrymen⌟ like you, and I will place my words into his mouth, and he shall speak to them ⌞everything that I command him⌟.

Profeta les suscitaré de en medio de sus hermanos, como tú; y pondré mis palabras en su boca, y él les hablará todo lo que yo le mandare.

I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

I will raise them up a prophet from among their brothers, like you. I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him.

⌞And then⌟ the man that will not listen to my words that he shall speak in my name, I will hold accountable.

Mas será, que cualquiera que no oyere mis palabras que él hablare en mi nombre, yo le residenciaré.

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

It shall happen, that whoever will not listen to my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

However, the prophet that behaves presumptuously by speaking a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, and who speaks in the name of other gods, then that prophet shall die.’

Empero el profeta que presumiere hablar palabra en mi nombre, que yo no le haya mandado hablar, ó que hablare en nombre de dioses ajenos, el tal profeta morirá.

But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.”

And if you say ⌞to yourself⌟, ‘How can we know the word that Yahweh has not spoken to him?’

Y si dijeres en tu corazón: ¿Cómo conoceremos la palabra que Jehová no hubiere hablado?

And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?

You may say in your heart, “How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?”

Whenever what the prophet spoke in the name of Yahweh, the thing does not take place and does not come about, that is the thing that Yahweh has not spoken to him. Presumptuously the prophet spoke it; you shall not fear that prophet.”

Cuando el profeta hablare en nombre de Jehová, y no fuere la tal cosa, ni viniere, es palabra que Jehová no ha hablado: con soberbia la habló aquel profeta: no tengas temor de él.

When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

When a prophet speaks in the LORD’s name, if the thing doesn’t follow, nor happen, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You shall not be afraid of him.
