1Vous êtes fils de l'Éternel, votre Dieu : ne vous faites pas des incisions et ne vous rasez pas l'intervalle des yeux, pour un mort.
2Car tu es un peuple consacré à l'Éternel, ton Dieu, et l'Éternel t'a choisi pour être son peuple particulier entre tous les peuples qui sont sur la face de la terre.
3Abstiens-toi de tout aliment abominable.
4Voici les animaux dont vous vous nourrirez : le bœuf, la brebis et la chèvre,
5le cerf, et la gazelle et le daim, et le bouquetin, et le dischon et le theo, et le zamer,
6et tout animal ayant la corne fendue, fendue de part en part, en fourche ; tout ce qui rumine parmi les animaux, vous servira de nourriture.
7Voici seulement ceux que vous ne mangerez pas, des ruminants et de ceux qui ont la corne fendue de part en part : le chameau, et le lièvre, et la gerboise, car ils ruminent, mais n'ont pas la corne fendue : tenez-les pour immondes ;
8et le porc, car il a la corne fendue, mais ne rumine pas ; tenez-le pour immonde : vous ne mangerez pas leur chair et ne toucherez pas leurs cadavres.
9Voici ceux que vous mangerez entre tous les aquatiques : tout ce qui a nageoires et écailles, vous pouvez le manger ;
10mais vous vous abstiendrez de tout ce qui n'a pas nageoires et écailles : tenez-le pour immonde.
11Vous pouvez manger de tous les oiseaux purs, mais voici ceux dont vous vous abstiendrez :
12l'aigle, l'orfraie et l'aigle de mer
13et le faucon et le vautour et le milan selon leur espèce,
14et tous les corbeaux selon leurs espèces, et l'autruche femelle
15et l'autruche mâle et la mouette et l'épervier selon leur espèce,
16et le hibou et l'ibis et le cygne
17et le pélican et le percnoptère et le pélican sauteur
18et la cigogne et le perroquet selon leur espèce, et la huppe et la chauve-souris.
19Et tenez pour immonde tout ver ailé : il ne se mangera pas.
20Mangez de tous les oiseaux purs.
21Vous ne mangerez point de bête morte, tu pourras la donner à l'étranger qui est dans tes Portes pour la manger ou la vendre à un homme du dehors ; car tu es un peuple consacré à l'Éternel, ton Dieu. Tu ne feras point cuire le chevreau au lait de sa mère.
22Tu dîmeras tout le produit de tes semailles, que rend annuellement ton champ.
23Et tu mangeras devant l'Éternel, ton Dieu, au lieu qu'il aura choisi pour y fixer son nom, la dîme de ton blé, de ton moût et de ton huile et la primogéniture de ton gros et menu bétail, afin que tu apprennes à craindre en tout temps l'Éternel, ton Dieu.
24Et si le chemin est trop long pour que tu puisses l'y transporter vu la distance du lieu choisi par l'Éternel, ton Dieu, pour y fixer son nom, et l'abondance dont t'aura béni l'Éternel, ton Dieu,
25échange-la contre de l'argent, et serre l'argent dans ta main, et va au lieu choisi par l'Éternel, ton Dieu.
26Et donne cet argent en échange de tout ce que tu désires en fait de bœufs, de brebis, de vin, de cervoise, de tout ce que ton désir réclame, et mange, là, devant l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te réjouissant toi et ta famille.
27Et ne néglige pas le Lévite qui est dans tes Portes, car il n'a ni portion ni lot parmi vous.
28A la fin de chaque troisième année tu extrairas toute la dîme de ta récolte de cette année-là, et tu la déposeras dans tes Portes ;
29et le Lévite (car il n'a ni portion ni lot parmi vous) et l'étranger et l'orphelin et la veuve qui sont dans tes Portes, viendront et mangeront et se rassasieront, afin que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te bénisse dans tout le travail de tes mains que tu entreprendras.

1HIJOS sois de Jehová vuestro Dios: no os sajaréis, ni pondréis calva sobre vuestros ojos por muerto;
2Porque eres pueblo santo á Jehová tu Dios, y Jehová te ha escogido para que le seas un pueblo singular de entre todos los pueblos que están sobre la haz de la tierra.
3Nada abominable comerás.
4Estos son los animales que comeréis: el buey, la oveja, y la cabra,
5El ciervo, el corzo, y el búfalo, y el cabrío salvaje, y el unicornio, y buey salvaje, y cabra montés.
6Y todo animal de pezuñas, que tiene hendidura de dos uñas, y que rumiare entre los animales, ese comeréis.
7Empero estos no comeréis de los que rumian, ó tienen uña hendida: camello, y liebre, y conejo, porque rumian, mas no tienen uña hendida, os serán inmundos;
8Ni puerco: porque tiene uña hendida, mas no rumia, os será inmundo. De la carne de éstos no comeréis, ni tocaréis sus cuerpos muertos.
9Esto comeréis de todo lo que está en el agua: todo lo que tiene aleta y escama comeréis;
10Mas todo lo que no tuviere aleta y escama, no comeréis: inmundo os será.
11Toda ave limpia comeréis.
12Y estas son de las que no comeréis: el águila, y el azor, y el esmerejón,
13Y el ixio, y el buitre, y el milano según su especie,
14Y todo cuervo según su especie,
15Y el buho, y la lechuza, y el cuclillo, y el halcón según su especie,
16Y el herodión, y el cisne, y el ibis,
17Y el somormujo, y el calamón, y el corvejón,
18Y la cigüeña, y la garza según su especie, y la abubilla, y el murciélago.
19Y todo reptil alado os será inmundo: no se comerá.
20Toda ave limpia comeréis.
21Ninguna cosa mortecina comeréis: al extranjero que está en tus poblaciones la darás, y él la comerá: ó véndela al extranjero; porque tú eres pueblo santo á Jehová tu Dios. No cocerás el cabrito en la leche de su madre.
22Indispensablemente diezmarás todo el producto de tu simiente, que rindiere el campo cada un año.
23Y comerás delante de Jehová tu Dios en el lugar que él escogiere para hacer habitar allí su nombre, el diezmo de tu grano, de tu vino, y de tu aceite, y los primerizos de tus manadas, y de tus ganados, para que aprendas á temer á Jehová tu Dios todos los días.
24Y si el camino fuere tan largo que tú no puedas llevarlo por él, por estar lejos de ti el lugar que Jehová tu Dios hubiere escogido para poner en él su nombre, cuando Jehová tu Dios te bendijere,
25Entonces venderlo has, y atarás el dinero en tu mano, y vendrás al lugar que Jehová tu Dios escogiere;
26Y darás el dinero por todo lo que deseare tu alma, por vacas, ó por ovejas, ó por vino, ó por sidra, ó por cualquier cosa que tu alma te demandare: y comerás allí delante de Jehová tu Dios, y te alegrarás tú y tu familia.
27Y no desampararás al Levita que habitare en tus poblaciones; porque no tiene parte ni heredad contigo.
28Al cabo de cada tres años sacarás todo el diezmo de tus productos de aquel año, y lo guardarás en tus ciudades:
29Y vendrá el Levita, que no tiene parte ni heredad contigo, y el extranjero, y el huérfano, y la viuda, que hubiere en tus poblaciones, y comerán y serán saciados; para que Jehová tu Dios te bendiga en toda obra de tus manos que hicieres.

1Ye are the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
2For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.
3Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.
4These are the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,
5The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois.
6And every beast that parteth the hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, and cheweth the cud among the beasts, that ye shall eat.
7Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you.
8And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase.
9These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
10And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.
11Of all clean birds ye shall eat.
12But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
13And the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after his kind,
14And every raven after his kind,
15And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
16The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,
17And the pelican, and the gier eagle, and the cormorant,
18And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
19And every creeping thing that flieth is unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.
20But of all clean fowls ye may eat.
21Ye shall not eat of any thing that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk.
22Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
23And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
24And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
25Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:
26And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
27And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.
28At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:
29And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.

1You are the children of the LORD your God. You shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
2For you are a holy people to the LORD your God, and the LORD has chosen you to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples who are on the face of the earth.
3You shall not eat any abominable thing.
4These are the animals which you may eat: the ox, the sheep, the goat,
5the deer, the gazelle, the roebuck, the wild goat, the ibex, the antelope, and the chamois.
6Every animal that parts the hoof, and has the hoof split in two and chews the cud, among the animals, you may eat.
7Nevertheless these you shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of those who have the hoof split: the camel, the hare, and the rabbit. Because they chew the cud but don’t part the hoof, they are unclean to you.
8The pig, because it has a split hoof but doesn’t chew the cud, is unclean to you. You shall not eat their meat. You shall not touch their carcasses.
9These you may eat of all that are in the waters: you may eat whatever has fins and scales.
10You shall not eat whatever doesn’t have fins and scales. It is unclean to you.
11Of all clean birds you may eat.
12But these are they of which you shall not eat: the eagle, the vulture, the osprey,
13the red kite, the falcon, the kite of any kind,
14every raven of any kind,
15the ostrich, the owl, the seagull, the hawk of any kind,
16the little owl, the great owl, the horned owl,
17the pelican, the vulture, the cormorant,
18the stork, the heron after its kind, the hoopoe, and the bat.
19All winged creeping things are unclean to you. They shall not be eaten.
20Of all clean birds you may eat.
21You shall not eat of anything that dies of itself. You may give it to the foreigner living among you who is within your gates, that he may eat it; or you may sell it to a foreigner; for you are a holy people to the LORD your God. You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.
22You shall surely tithe all the increase of your seed, that which comes out of the field year by year.
23You shall eat before the LORD your God, in the place which he chooses to cause his name to dwell, the tithe of your grain, of your new wine, and of your oil, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock; that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always.
24If the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry it because the place which the LORD your God shall choose to set his name there is too far from you, when the LORD your God blesses you,
25then you shall turn it into money, bind up the money in your hand, and shall go to the place which the LORD your God shall choose.
26You shall trade the money for whatever your soul desires: for cattle, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatever your soul asks of you. You shall eat there before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household.
27You shall not forsake the Levite who is within your gates, for he has no portion nor inheritance with you.
28At the end of every three years you shall bring all the tithe of your increase in the same year, and shall store it within your gates.
29The Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, as well as the foreigner living among you, the fatherless, and the widow who are within your gates shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.
