Deuteronomio 13

1All das Wort, das ich euch gebiete, sollet ihr halten es zu tun, und nichts dazu tun und nichts davon tun.
2Wenn ein Prophet oder einer, der Träume träumt, in deiner Mitte aufsteht, und dir ein Zeichen oder Wahrzeichen gibt,
3Und das Zeichen und das Wahrzeichen kommt, davon er zu dir geredet hat, und spricht: Lasset uns anderen Göttern, die ihr nicht kennt, nachgehen und ihnen dienen;
4So höre nicht auf die Worte dieses Propheten oder auf den Traum dieses Träumers; denn Jehovah, euer Gott, versucht euch, um zu wissen, ob ihr auch wirklich Jehovah, euren Gott, von eurem ganzem Herzen und von eurer ganzen Seele liebt.
5Jehovah, eurem Gotte, sollt ihr nachwandeln, und Ihn sollt ihr fürchten und Seine Gebote halten, und auf Seine Stimme sollt ihr hören und Ihm dienen und Ihm sollt ihr anhangen.
6Und dieser Prophet oder dieser träumende Träumer soll sterben dafür, daß er von Abfall geredet wider Jehovah, euren Gott, Der euch aus Ägyptenland ausgeführt und dich aus dem Hause der Knechte eingelöst hat, um dich abzuführen von dem Wege, darin zu wandeln Jehovah, dein Gott, dir geboten hat; und du sollst das Böse wegschaffen aus deiner Mitte.
7So dich dein Bruder, der Sohn deiner Mutter, oder dein Sohn oder deine Tochter oder das Weib deines Busens, oder dein Genosse, der dir wie deine Seele ist, insgeheim antreibt und spricht: Komm, laß uns anderen Göttern dienen, die du und deine Väter nicht gekannt,
8Einen der Götter der Völker, die rings um uns sind, die dir nahe oder ferne von dir sind, von einem Ende der Erde und bis zum anderen Ende der Erde:
9So willige ihm nicht ein und höre nicht auf ihn, und dein Auge schone seiner nicht, und habe kein Mitleid und verdecke es nicht.
10Erwürgen sollst du ihn! Deine Hand sei zuerst an ihm, ihn zu töten, und die Hand alles Volkes hinten nach!
11Und sollst ihn mit Steinen steinigen, daß er sterbe, darum, daß er suchte, dich abzuführen von Jehovah, deinem Gotte, Der dich aus Ägyptenland, aus dem Hause der Knechte, ausgeführt hat.
12Und ganz Israel höre es, und fürchte sich, und sie sollen nicht mehr solch Übel tun in deiner Mitte.
13Wenn du von einer deiner Städte, die Jehovah, dein Gott, dir geben wird, darin zu wohnen, wirst hören sagen:
14Es sind Männer, Söhne Belials, ausgegangen aus deiner Mitte, und haben die Einwohner ihrer Stadt abgeführt und gesprochen: Kommt, lasset uns anderen Göttern dienen, die ihr nicht kennt;
15So sollst du wohl nachfragen und ergründen und fragen, und siehe, ist das Wort wahr und richtig, daß dieser Greuel in deiner Mitte ist getan worden,
16So sollst du die Einwohner dieser Stadt mit der Schärfe des Schwertes schlagen, sie verbannen und alles, was in ihr ist, auch ihr Vieh, mit der Schärfe des Schwertes.
17Und alle Beute aus ihr sollst du mitten auf ihrem Platze zusammenbringen und die Stadt und all ihre Beute allesamt mit Feuer verbrennen Jehovah, deinem Gott. Ein Schutthaufen soll sie sein ewiglich, soll nie mehr aufgebaut werden.
18Und nichts von dem Verbannten hange an deiner Hand, auf daß Jehovah von der Entbrennung Seines Zorns Sich zurückwende und dir Erbarmen gebe, und Sich dein erbarme und dich mehre, wie Er deinen Vätern zugeschworen hat, Weil du auf die Stimme Jehovahs, deines Gottes, hörest zu halten alle Seine Gebote, die ich heute dir gebiete, auf daß du tust, was recht ist in den Augen Jehovahs deines Gottes.

1CUANDO se levantare en medio de ti profeta, ó soñador de sueños, y te diere señal ó prodigio,
2Y acaeciere la señal ó prodigio que él te dijo, diciendo: Vamos en pos de dioses ajenos, que no conociste, y sirvámosles;
3No darás oído á las palabras de tal profeta, ni al tal soñador de sueños: porque Jehová vuestro Dios os prueba, para saber si amáis á Jehová vuestro Dios con todo vuestro corazón, y con toda vuestra alma.
4En pos de Jehová vuestro Dios andaréis, y á él temeréis, y guardaréis sus mandamientos, y escucharéis su voz, y á él serviréis, y á él os allegaréis.
5Y el tal profeta ó soñador de sueños, ha de ser muerto; por cuanto trató de rebelión contra Jehová vuestro Dios, que te sacó de tierra de Egipto, y te rescató de casa de siervos, y de echarte del camino por el que Jehová tu Dios te mandó que anduvieses: y así quitarás el mal de en medio de ti.
6Cuando te incitare tu hermano, hijo de tu madre, ó tu hijo, ó tu hija, ó la mujer de tu seno, ó tu amigo que sea como tu alma, diciendo en secreto: Vamos y sirvamos á dioses ajenos, que ni tú ni tus padres conocisteis,
7De los dioses de los pueblos que están en vuestros alrededores cercanos á ti, ó lejos de ti, desde el un cabo de la tierra hasta el otro cabo de ella;
8No consentirás con él, ni le darás oído; ni tu ojo le perdonará, ni tendrás compasión, ni lo encubrirás:
9Antes has de matarlo; tu mano será primero sobre él para matarle, y después la mano de todo el pueblo.
10Y has de apedrearlo con piedras, y morirá; por cuanto procuró apartarte de Jehová tu Dios, que te sacó de tierra de Egipto, de casa de siervos:
11Para que todo Israel oiga, y tema, y no tornen á hacer cosa semejante á esta mala cosa en medio de ti.
12Cuando oyeres de alguna de tus ciudades que Jehová tu Dios te da para que mores en ellas, que se dice:
13Hombres, hijos de impiedad, han salido de en medio de ti, que han instigado á los moradores de su ciudad, diciendo: Vamos y sirvamos á dioses ajenos, que vosotros no conocisteis;
14Tú inquirirás, y buscarás, y preguntarás con diligencia; y si pareciere verdad, cosa cierta, que tal abominación se hizo en medio de ti,
15Irremisiblemente herirás á filo de espada los moradores de aquella ciudad, destruyéndola con todo lo que en ella hubiere, y también sus bestias á filo de espada.
16Y juntarás todo el despojo de ella en medio de su plaza, y consumirás con fuego la ciudad y todo su despojo, todo ello, á Jehová tu Dios: y será un montón para siempre: nunca más se edificará.
17Y no se pegará algo á tu mano del anatema; porque Jehová se aparte del furor de su ira, y te dé mercedes, y tenga misericordia de ti, y te multiplique, como lo juró á tus padres,
18Cuando obedecieres á la voz de Jehová tu Dios, guardando todos sus mandamientos que yo te prescribo hoy, para hacer lo recto en ojos de Jehová tu Dios.

1If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
2And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
3Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
4Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
5And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.
6If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;
7Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;
8Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:
9But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
10And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
11And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is among you.
12If thou shalt hear say in one of thy cities, which the LORD thy God hath given thee to dwell there, saying,
13Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;
14Then shalt thou enquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought among you;
15Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword.
16And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for the LORD thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again.
17And there shall cleave nought of the cursed thing to thine hand: that the LORD may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and shew thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers;
18When thou shalt hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep all his commandments which I command thee this day, to do that which is right in the eyes of the LORD thy God.
World English Bible
1If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you, and he gives you a sign or a wonder,
2and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, “Let’s go after other gods” (which you have not known) “and let’s serve them,”
3you shall not listen to the words of that prophet, or to that dreamer of dreams; for the LORD your God is testing you, to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
4You shall walk after the LORD your God, fear him, keep his commandments, and obey his voice. You shall serve him, and cling to him.
5That prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death, because he has spoken rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to draw you aside out of the way which the LORD your God commanded you to walk in. So you shall remove the evil from among you.
6If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend who is as your own soul, entices you secretly, saying, “Let’s go and serve other gods”—which you have not known, you, nor your fathers;
7of the gods of the peoples who are around you, near to you, or far off from you, from the one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth—
8you shall not consent to him nor listen to him; neither shall your eye pity him, neither shall you spare, neither shall you conceal him;
9but you shall surely kill him. Your hand shall be first on him to put him to death, and afterwards the hands of all the people.
10You shall stone him to death with stones, because he has sought to draw you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
11All Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall not do any more wickedness like this among you.
12If you hear about one of your cities, which the LORD your God gives you to dwell there, that
13certain wicked fellows have gone out from among you and have drawn away the inhabitants of their city, saying, “Let’s go and serve other gods,” which you have not known,
14then you shall inquire, investigate, and ask diligently. Behold, if it is true, and the thing certain, that such abomination was done among you,
15you shall surely strike the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, with all that is therein and its livestock, with the edge of the sword.
16You shall gather all its plunder into the middle of its street, and shall burn with fire the city, with all of its plunder, to the LORD your God. It shall be a heap forever. It shall not be built again.
17Nothing of the devoted thing shall cling to your hand, that the LORD may turn from the fierceness of his anger and show you mercy, and have compassion on you and multiply you, as he has sworn to your fathers,
18when you listen to the LORD your God’s voice, to keep all his commandments which I command you today, to do that which is right in the LORD your God’s eyes.
