30so hüte dich davor, verstrickt zu werden dadurch, daß du sie nachahmst, da sie doch vor dir her vertilgt worden sind, und ihren Göttern nachzufragen und zu sprechen: Wie dienten diese Heiden ihren Göttern? Ich will auch also tun!

30Guárdate que no tropieces en pos de ellas, después que fueren destruídas delante de ti: no preguntes acerca de sus dioses, diciendo: De la manera que servían aquellas gentes á sus dioses, así haré yo también.

30Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.

30be careful that you are not ensnared to follow them after they are destroyed from before you, and that you not inquire after their gods, saying, “How do these nations serve their gods? I will do likewise.”
