Guardati dall'imitarle, dopo che alla tua venuta saranno state distrutte, e dall'andare investigando le loro cerimonie, dicendo: Io pure praticherò quella maniera di culto, colla quale hanno onorato i loro dii queste genti.
Guárdate que no tropieces en pos de ellas, después que fueren destruídas delante de ti: no preguntes acerca de sus dioses, diciendo: De la manera que servían aquellas gentes á sus dioses, así haré yo también.
Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.
