Daniel 7

En el primer año de Belsasar, rey de Babilonia, Daniel tuvo un sueño y visiones en su mente mientras estaba acostado en su cama. Entonces él escribió lo que había visto en el sueño. Él escribió los eventos más importantes:

EN el primer año de Belsasar rey de Babilonia, vió Daniel un sueño y visiones de su cabeza en su cama: luego escribió el sueño, y notó la suma de los negocios.

In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.

Daniel explicó: "En mi visión en la noche yo vi que los cuatro vientos del cielo estaban agitando el mar grande.

Habló Daniel y dijo: Veía yo en mi visión de noche, y he aquí que los cuatro vientos del cielo combatían en la gran mar.

Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.

Cuatro animales grandes, cada uno diferente del otro, salieron del mar.

Y cuatro bestias grandes, diferentes la una de la otra, subían de la mar.

And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.

Four great animals came up from the sea, different from one another.

El primero era como un león pero tenía alas de águila. Mientras yo miraba, sus alas fueron arrancadas y el fue levantado de la tierra y obligado a pararse sobre dos patas, como un hombre. La mente de un hombre le fue dada.

La primera era como león, y tenía alas de águila. Yo estaba mirando hasta tanto que sus alas fueron arrancadas, y fué quitada de la tierra; y púsose enhiesta sobre los pies á manera de hombre, y fuéle dado corazón de hombre.

The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.

“The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings. I watched until its wings were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet as a man. A man’s heart was given to it.

Entonces allí había un segundo animal, como un oso, y estaba agachado; tenía tres costillas entre sus dientes dentro de su boca. Se le dijo: 'Levántate y devora mucha gente.'

Y he aquí otra segunda bestia, semejante á un oso, la cual se puso al un lado, y tenía en su boca tres costillas entre sus dientes; y fuéle dicho así: Levántate, traga carne mucha.

And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.

“Behold, there was another animal, a second, like a bear. It was raised up on one side, and three ribs were in its mouth between its teeth. They said this to it: ‘Arise! Devour much flesh!’

Después de esto miré otra vez. Había allí otro animal, uno que parecía un leopardo. Sobre su espalda tenía cuatro alas, como alas de ave, y tenía cuatro cabezas. Le fue dada autoridad para gobernar.

Después de esto yo miraba, y he aquí otra, semejante á un tigre, y tenía cuatro alas de ave en sus espaldas: tenía también esta bestia cuatro cabezas; y fuéle dada potestad.

After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.

“After this I saw, and behold, another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. The animal also had four heads; and dominion was given to it.

Después de esto yo vi en mi sueño en la noche un cuarto animal, aterrador, espantoso, y muy fuerte. Este tenía grandes dientes de hierro; devoraba, despedazaba y pisoteaba bajo sus patas lo que quedaba. Este era diferente a los otros animales, y tenía diez cuernos.

Después de esto miraba yo en las visiones de la noche, y he aquí la cuarta bestia, espantosa y terrible, y en grande manera fuerte; la cual tenía unos dientes grandes de hierro: devoraba y desmenuzaba, y las sobras hollaba con sus pies: y era muy diferente de todas las bestias que habían sido antes de ella, y tenía diez cuernos.

After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.

“After this I saw in the night visions, and, behold, there was a fourth animal, awesome, powerful, and exceedingly strong. It had great iron teeth. It devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with its feet. It was different from all the animals that were before it. It had ten horns.

Mientras yo estaba considerando los cuernos, miré y vi otro cuerno crecer entre ellos, un cuerno pequeño. Tres de los primeros cuernos fueron arrancados de raíz. Yo vi en este cuerno ojos, como los ojos de un hombre, y una boca que se estaba jactando acerca de grandes cosas.

Estando yo contemplando los cuernos, he aquí que otro cuerno pequeño subía entre ellos, y delante de él fueron arrancados tres cuernos de los primeros; y he aquí, en este cuerno había ojos como ojos de hombre, y una boca que hablaba grandezas.

I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

“I considered the horns, and behold, there came up among them another horn, a little one, before which three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots; and behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking arrogantly.

Mientras yo miraba, tronos fueron colocados en su lugar, y el Anciano de Días tomó su asiento. Su vestidura era tan blanca como la nieve, y el cabello de su cabeza era como lana pura. Su trono era llamas de fuego, y sus ruedas eran fuego ardiendo.

Estuve mirando hasta que fueron puestas sillas: y un Anciano de grande edad se sentó, cuyo vestido era blanco como la nieve, y el pelo de su cabeza como lana limpia; su silla llama de fuego, sus ruedas fuego ardiente.

I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.

“I watched until thrones were placed, and one who was Ancient of Days sat. His clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool. His throne was fiery flames, and its wheels burning fire.

Un río de fuego fluyó de delante de Él; millones Le servían, y cien millones estaban de pie delante de Él. La corte estaba en sesión, y los libros fueron abiertos.

Un río de fuego procedía y salía de delante de él: millares de millares le servían, y millones de millones asistían delante de él: el Juez se sentó, y los libros se abrieron.

A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

Yo continué mirando a causa de las palabras jactanciosas dichas por el cuerno. Yo miré mientras mataban el animal y su cuerpo era destruído, y fue entregado para ser quemado.

Yo entonces miraba á causa de la voz de las grandes palabras que hablaba el cuerno; miraba hasta tanto que mataron la bestia, y su cuerpo fué deshecho, y entregado para ser quemado en el fuego.

I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.

“I watched at that time because of the voice of the arrogant words which the horn spoke. I watched even until the animal was slain, and its body destroyed, and it was given to be burned with fire.

En cuanto al resto de los cuatro animales, sus autoridadades para gobernar les fueron quitadas, pero sus vidas fueron prolongadas por un período de tiempo.

Habían también quitado á las otras bestias su señorío, y les había sido dada prolongación de vida hasta cierto tiempo.

As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.

As for the rest of the animals, their dominion was taken away; yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time.

Esa noche en mis visiones, vi uno que venía con las nubes del cielo como un Hijo de Hombre; Él vino al Anciano de Días y fue presentado delante de Él.

Miraba yo en la visión de la noche, y he aquí en las nubes del cielo como un hijo de hombre que venía, y llegó hasta el Anciano de grande edad, é hiciéronle llegar delante de él.

I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

“I saw in the night visions, and behold, there came with the clouds of the sky one like a son of man, and he came even to the Ancient of Days, and they brought him near before him.

Autoridad para gobernar y gloria y poder real les fueron dadas a él para que todos los pueblos, naciones y lenguas le sirvieran. Su autoridad para gobernar es una autoridad eterna que no terminará, y su reino es uno que nunca será destruído.

Y fuéle dado señorío, y gloria, y reino; y todos los pueblos, naciones y lenguas le sirvieron; su señorío, señorío eterno, que no será transitorio, y su reino que no se corromperá.

And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Dominion was given him, and glory, and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which will not pass away, and his kingdom one that will not be destroyed.

En cuanto a mí, Daniel, mi espíritu estaba afligido dentro de mí, y las visiones que yo vi en mi mente me perturbaron.

Mi espíritu fué turbado, yo Daniel, en medio de mi cuerpo, y las visiones de mi cabeza me asombraron.

I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.

“As for me, Daniel, my spirit was grieved within my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.

Yo me acerqué a uno de los que estaban allí parados y le pedí que me mostrara el significado de estas cosas.

Lleguéme á uno de los que asistían, y preguntéle la verdad acerca de todo esto. Y hablóme, y declaróme la interpretación de las cosas.

I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.

Estos grandes animales, cuatro en número, son cuatro reyes que se levantarán de la tierra.

Estas grandes bestias, las cuales son cuatro, cuatro reyes son, que se levantarán en la tierra.

These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.

‘These great animals, which are four, are four kings, who will arise out of the earth.

Pero el pueblo santo del Altísimo recibirá el reino, y ellos lo poseerán para siempre y siempre.

Después tomarán el reino los santos del Altísimo, y poseerán el reino hasta el siglo, y hasta el siglo de los siglos.

But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.

But the saints of the Most High will receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.’

Entonces yo quise saber más acerca del cuarto animal; era tan diferente a los demás y muy horrible con sus dientes de hierro y garras de bronce; devoraba, despedazaba y pisoteaba lo que quedaba con sus patas.

Entonces tuve deseo de saber la verdad acerca de la cuarta bestia, que tan diferente era de todas las otras, espantosa en gran manera, que tenía dientes de hierro, y sus uñas de metal, que devoraba y desmenuzaba, y las sobras hollaba con sus pies:

Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;

“Then I desired to know the truth concerning the fourth animal, which was different from all of them, exceedingly terrible, whose teeth were of iron, and its nails of bronze; which devoured, broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with its feet;

Yo quise saber acerca de los diez cuernos sobre su cabeza, y sobre el otro cuerno que creció, y ante el cual los otros tres cuernos cayeron. Yo quería saber acerca del cuerno que tenía ojos y acerca de la boca que se jactaba acerca de grandes cosas y que parecia ser más grande que sus compañeros.

Asimismo acerca de los diez cuernos que tenía en su cabeza, y del otro que había subido, de delante del cual habían caído tres: y este mismo cuerno tenía ojos, y boca que hablaba grandezas, y su parecer mayor que el de sus compañeros.

And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.

Mientras yo miraba, este cuerno hizo la guerra en contra del pueblo santo y lo estaba derrotando

Y veía yo que este cuerno hacía guerra contra los santos, y los vencía,

I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;

hasta que el Anciano de Días vino, y le hizo justica al pueblo santo del Altísimo. Entonces llegó el tiempo cuando el pueblo santo recibió el reino.

Hasta tanto que vino el Anciano de grande edad, y se dió el juicio á los santos del Altísimo; y vino el tiempo, y los santos poseyeron el reino.

Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

Esto es lo que esa persona dijo: 'En cuanto al cuarto animal, este será un cuarto reino sobre la tierra que será diferente a todos los otros reinos. Devorará toda la tierra, y la pisoteará y la despedazará.

Dijo así: La cuarta bestia será un cuarto reino en la tierra, el cual será más grande que todos los otros reinos, y á toda la tierra devorará, y la hollará, y la despedazará.

Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

“So he said, ‘The fourth animal will be a fourth kingdom on earth, which will be different from all the kingdoms, and will devour the whole earth, and will tread it down and break it in pieces.

En cuanto a los diez cuernos, de este reino se levantarán diez reyes, y otro se levantará después de ellos. Él será diferente a los anteriores, y conquistará a los tres reyes.

Y los diez cuernos significan que de aquel reino se levantarán diez reyes; y tras ellos se levantará otro, el cual será mayor que los primeros, y á tres reyes derribará.

And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

As for the ten horns, ten kings will arise out of this kingdom. Another will arise after them; and he will be different from the former, and he will put down three kings.

Él dirá palabras contra del Altísimo y oprimirá al pueblo santo del Altísimo. Él tratará de cambiar los festivales y la ley. Estas cosas le serán dadas a su mano por un año, dos años, y medio año.

Y hablará palabras contra el Altísimo, y á los santos del Altísimo quebrantará, y pensará en mudar los tiempos y la ley: y entregados serán en su mano hasta tiempo, y tiempos, y el medio de un tiempo.

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

He will speak words against the Most High, and will wear out the saints of the Most High. He will plan to change the times and the law; and they will be given into his hand until a time and times and half a time.

Pero la corte estará en sesión, y ellos le quitarán su poder real para ser consumido y destruído en el fin.

Empero se sentará el juez, y quitaránle su señorío, para que sea destruído y arruinado hasta el extremo;

But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

“‘But the judgment will be set, and they will take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it to the end.

El reino y el dominio, y la grandeza de los reinos debajo de todo el cielo, le será dados a las personas que pertenecen al pueblo santo del Altísimo. Su reino es un reino eterno, y todos los demás reinos le servirán y obedecerán.'

Y que el reino, y el señorío, y la majestad de los reinos debajo de todo el cielo, sea dado al pueblo de los santos del Altísimo; cuyo reino es reino eterno, y todos los señoríos le servirán y obedecerán.

And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

The kingdom and the dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole sky, will be given to the people of the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions will serve and obey him.’

Aquí está el final del asunto. En cuanto a mí, Daniel, mis pensamientos me alarmaron grandemente y mi rostro cambió en apariencia. Pero yo guardé estas cosas para mí."

Hasta aquí fué el fin de la plática. Yo Daniel, mucho me turbaron mis pensamientos, y mi rostro se me mudó: mas guardé en mi corazón el negocio.

Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart.

“Here is the end of the matter. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts troubled me greatly, and my face was changed in me; but I kept the matter in my heart.”
