Daniel 7
Biblia Torres Amat
1En el año primero de Baltasar, rey de Babilonia, tuvo Daniel una visión en sueños; y la visión la tuvo su mente estando en su cama; y escribió el sueño, y le puso en pocas palabras, refiriéndolo en compendio de esta manera:
2Tuve yo una noche esta visión: Los cuatro vientos del cielo combatían, o chocaban entre sí, en el mar grande.
3Y cuatro grandes bestias, diversas entre sí, salían del mar.
4La primera era como una leona, y tenía alas de águila; mientras yo la miraba, he aquí que le fueron arrancadas las alas, y se alzó de tierra, y se tuvo sobre sus pies como un hombre, y se le dio un corazón de hombre.
5Y vi otra bestia semejante a un oso, que se puso a su lado, la cual tenía tres órdenes de dientes, y le decían así: Levántate, come carnes en abundancia.
6Después de esto estaba yo observando, y he aquí otra bestia como un leopardo, y tenía en la parte superior cuatro alas como de ave; y tenía esta bestia cuatro cabezas, y le fue dado a ella el poder.
7Después de esto estuve yo contemplando la visión nocturna; cuando he aquí que apareció una cuarta bestia terrible y prodigiosa, y extraordinariamente fuerte; la cual tenía grandes dientes de hierro, comía y despedazaba, y lo que le sobraba, lo hollaba con los pies; mas no se parecía a las otras bestias que antes había yo visto, y tenía diez astas.
8Estaba yo contemplando las astas, cuando he aquí que despuntó por en medio de ellas otra asta más pequeña, y así que ésta apareció fueron arrancadas tres de las primeras astas; había en esta asta pequeña ojos como de hombre, y una boca que profería cosas grandes, o jactanciosas.
9Estaba yo observando, hasta tanto que se pusieron unas sillas; y el anciano de muchos días se sentó, eran sus vestiduras blancas como la nieve, y como lana limpia los cabellos de su cabeza; de llamas de fuego era su trono, y fuego encendido las ruedas de éste.
10Salía de delante de él un impetuoso río de fuego; eran millares de millares los que le servían, y mil millones, o innumerables, los que asistían ante su presencia. Se sentó para juzgar, y fueron abiertos los libros, o procesos.
11Estaba yo en expectación, a causa del ruido de las palabras grandiosas que salían de aquella asta; pero reparé que la bestia había sido muerta, que su cuerpo muerto había sido echado a arder en el fuego;
12y que a las otras bestias se les había también quitado el poder, y fijado el espacio de su vida hasta un tiempo y otro tiempo.
13Yo estaba, pues, observando durante la visión nocturna, y he aquí que venía entre las nubes del cielo un personaje que se aparecía un hijo del hombre; quien se adelantó hacia el anciano de muchos días, y le presentaron ante él.
14Y le dio éste la potestad, el honor y el reino; y todos los pueblos, tribus y lenguas le servían a él; la potestad suya es potestad eterna que no le será quitada, y su reino es indestructible.
15Se apoderó de mí el terror. Yo, Daniel, quedé atónito con tales cosas; y las visiones que había tenido llenaron de turbación mi mente.
16Me acerqué a uno de los asistentes, y le pedí el verdadero significado de aquellas visiones; y me dio la interpretación de ellas, y me instruyó:
17Estas cuatro bestias grandes, me dijo, son cuatro reinos que se levantarán en la tierra.
18Después recibirán el reino los santos del Dios altísimo, y reinarán hasta el fin del siglo, y por los siglos de los siglos.
19Quise en seguida informarme por menor de la cuarta bestia, que era tan diferente de todas las otras, y sobremanera horrorosa; cuyos dientes y uñas eran de hierro, y que comía y desmenuzaba, hollando con sus pies aquello que quedaba;
20e informarme asimismo acerca de las diez astas que tenía en la cabeza; y de la otra asta que le había comenzado a salir, al aparecer la cual habían caído las tres astas; y de cómo aquella asta tenía ojos y boca que profería cosas grandiosas, y era mayor que todas las otras.
21Estaba yo observando, y he aquí que aquella asta hacía guerra contra los santos, y prevalecía sobre ellos,
22hasta tanto que llegó el anciano de muchos días, y sentenció en favor de los santos del Altísimo, y vino el tiempo, y los santos obtuvieron el reino.
23Y aquél me habló así: La cuarta bestia será el cuarto reino sobre la tierra, el cual será mayor que todos los reinos, y devorará toda la tierra, y la hollará y desmenuzará.
24Y las diez astas del dicho reino serán diez reyes, después de los cuales se levantará otro, que será más poderoso que los primeros, y derribará tres reyes.
25Y él hablará mal contra el Excelso, y atropellará los santos del Altísimo, y se creerá con facultad de cambiar los tiempos de las solemnidades, y las leyes o ceremonias, y serán dejadas a su arbitrio todas las cosas por un tiempo, o año, y dos tiempos, y la mitad de un tiempo.
26Y después se celebrará juicio, a fin de que se le quite el poder, y sea destruido, y perezca para siempre.
27Y para que el reino, y la potestad, y la magnificencia del reino, cuanta hay debajo de todo el cielo, sea dada al pueblo de los santos del Altísimo, cuyo reino es reino sempiterno, y a él le servirán y obedecerán los reyes todos.
28Aquí acabó el razonamiento. Yo Daniel, quedé muy conturbado con mis pensamientos, y se cambió el color de mi rostro; conservé en mi corazón esta visión admirable.

1EN el primer año de Belsasar rey de Babilonia, vió Daniel un sueño y visiones de su cabeza en su cama: luego escribió el sueño, y notó la suma de los negocios.
2Habló Daniel y dijo: Veía yo en mi visión de noche, y he aquí que los cuatro vientos del cielo combatían en la gran mar.
3Y cuatro bestias grandes, diferentes la una de la otra, subían de la mar.
4La primera era como león, y tenía alas de águila. Yo estaba mirando hasta tanto que sus alas fueron arrancadas, y fué quitada de la tierra; y púsose enhiesta sobre los pies á manera de hombre, y fuéle dado corazón de hombre.
5Y he aquí otra segunda bestia, semejante á un oso, la cual se puso al un lado, y tenía en su boca tres costillas entre sus dientes; y fuéle dicho así: Levántate, traga carne mucha.
6Después de esto yo miraba, y he aquí otra, semejante á un tigre, y tenía cuatro alas de ave en sus espaldas: tenía también esta bestia cuatro cabezas; y fuéle dada potestad.
7Después de esto miraba yo en las visiones de la noche, y he aquí la cuarta bestia, espantosa y terrible, y en grande manera fuerte; la cual tenía unos dientes grandes de hierro: devoraba y desmenuzaba, y las sobras hollaba con sus pies: y era muy diferente de todas las bestias que habían sido antes de ella, y tenía diez cuernos.
8Estando yo contemplando los cuernos, he aquí que otro cuerno pequeño subía entre ellos, y delante de él fueron arrancados tres cuernos de los primeros; y he aquí, en este cuerno había ojos como ojos de hombre, y una boca que hablaba grandezas.
9Estuve mirando hasta que fueron puestas sillas: y un Anciano de grande edad se sentó, cuyo vestido era blanco como la nieve, y el pelo de su cabeza como lana limpia; su silla llama de fuego, sus ruedas fuego ardiente.
10Un río de fuego procedía y salía de delante de él: millares de millares le servían, y millones de millones asistían delante de él: el Juez se sentó, y los libros se abrieron.
11Yo entonces miraba á causa de la voz de las grandes palabras que hablaba el cuerno; miraba hasta tanto que mataron la bestia, y su cuerpo fué deshecho, y entregado para ser quemado en el fuego.
12Habían también quitado á las otras bestias su señorío, y les había sido dada prolongación de vida hasta cierto tiempo.
13Miraba yo en la visión de la noche, y he aquí en las nubes del cielo como un hijo de hombre que venía, y llegó hasta el Anciano de grande edad, é hiciéronle llegar delante de él.
14Y fuéle dado señorío, y gloria, y reino; y todos los pueblos, naciones y lenguas le sirvieron; su señorío, señorío eterno, que no será transitorio, y su reino que no se corromperá.
15Mi espíritu fué turbado, yo Daniel, en medio de mi cuerpo, y las visiones de mi cabeza me asombraron.
16Lleguéme á uno de los que asistían, y preguntéle la verdad acerca de todo esto. Y hablóme, y declaróme la interpretación de las cosas.
17Estas grandes bestias, las cuales son cuatro, cuatro reyes son, que se levantarán en la tierra.
18Después tomarán el reino los santos del Altísimo, y poseerán el reino hasta el siglo, y hasta el siglo de los siglos.
19Entonces tuve deseo de saber la verdad acerca de la cuarta bestia, que tan diferente era de todas las otras, espantosa en gran manera, que tenía dientes de hierro, y sus uñas de metal, que devoraba y desmenuzaba, y las sobras hollaba con sus pies:
20Asimismo acerca de los diez cuernos que tenía en su cabeza, y del otro que había subido, de delante del cual habían caído tres: y este mismo cuerno tenía ojos, y boca que hablaba grandezas, y su parecer mayor que el de sus compañeros.
21Y veía yo que este cuerno hacía guerra contra los santos, y los vencía,
22Hasta tanto que vino el Anciano de grande edad, y se dió el juicio á los santos del Altísimo; y vino el tiempo, y los santos poseyeron el reino.
23Dijo así: La cuarta bestia será un cuarto reino en la tierra, el cual será más grande que todos los otros reinos, y á toda la tierra devorará, y la hollará, y la despedazará.
24Y los diez cuernos significan que de aquel reino se levantarán diez reyes; y tras ellos se levantará otro, el cual será mayor que los primeros, y á tres reyes derribará.
25Y hablará palabras contra el Altísimo, y á los santos del Altísimo quebrantará, y pensará en mudar los tiempos y la ley: y entregados serán en su mano hasta tiempo, y tiempos, y el medio de un tiempo.
26Empero se sentará el juez, y quitaránle su señorío, para que sea destruído y arruinado hasta el extremo;
27Y que el reino, y el señorío, y la majestad de los reinos debajo de todo el cielo, sea dado al pueblo de los santos del Altísimo; cuyo reino es reino eterno, y todos los señoríos le servirán y obedecerán.
28Hasta aquí fué el fin de la plática. Yo Daniel, mucho me turbaron mis pensamientos, y mi rostro se me mudó: mas guardé en mi corazón el negocio.

1In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.
2Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.
3And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.
4The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.
5And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.
6After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.
7After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.
8I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.
9I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
10A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.
11I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.
12As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.
13I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
14And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
15I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.
16I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.
17These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.
18But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.
19Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;
20And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.
21I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;
22Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.
23Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
24And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
25And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
26But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.
27And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.
28Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart.

1In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream and visions of his head while on his bed. Then he wrote the dream and told the sum of the matters.
2Daniel spoke and said, “I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the sky broke out on the great sea.
3Four great animals came up from the sea, different from one another.
4“The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings. I watched until its wings were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet as a man. A man’s heart was given to it.
5“Behold, there was another animal, a second, like a bear. It was raised up on one side, and three ribs were in its mouth between its teeth. They said this to it: ‘Arise! Devour much flesh!’
6“After this I saw, and behold, another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. The animal also had four heads; and dominion was given to it.
7“After this I saw in the night visions, and, behold, there was a fourth animal, awesome, powerful, and exceedingly strong. It had great iron teeth. It devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with its feet. It was different from all the animals that were before it. It had ten horns.
8“I considered the horns, and behold, there came up among them another horn, a little one, before which three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots; and behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking arrogantly.
9“I watched until thrones were placed, and one who was Ancient of Days sat. His clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool. His throne was fiery flames, and its wheels burning fire.
10A fiery stream issued and came out from before him. Thousands of thousands ministered to him. Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him. The judgment was set. The books were opened.
11“I watched at that time because of the voice of the arrogant words which the horn spoke. I watched even until the animal was slain, and its body destroyed, and it was given to be burned with fire.
12As for the rest of the animals, their dominion was taken away; yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time.
13“I saw in the night visions, and behold, there came with the clouds of the sky one like a son of man, and he came even to the Ancient of Days, and they brought him near before him.
14Dominion was given him, and glory, and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which will not pass away, and his kingdom one that will not be destroyed.
15“As for me, Daniel, my spirit was grieved within my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.
16I came near to one of those who stood by, and asked him the truth concerning all this. “So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.
17‘These great animals, which are four, are four kings, who will arise out of the earth.
18But the saints of the Most High will receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.’
19“Then I desired to know the truth concerning the fourth animal, which was different from all of them, exceedingly terrible, whose teeth were of iron, and its nails of bronze; which devoured, broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with its feet;
20and concerning the ten horns that were on its head and the other horn which came up, and before which three fell, even that horn that had eyes and a mouth that spoke arrogantly, whose look was more stout than its fellows.
21I saw, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them,
22until the Ancient of Days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the Most High, and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.
23“So he said, ‘The fourth animal will be a fourth kingdom on earth, which will be different from all the kingdoms, and will devour the whole earth, and will tread it down and break it in pieces.
24As for the ten horns, ten kings will arise out of this kingdom. Another will arise after them; and he will be different from the former, and he will put down three kings.
25He will speak words against the Most High, and will wear out the saints of the Most High. He will plan to change the times and the law; and they will be given into his hand until a time and times and half a time.
26“‘But the judgment will be set, and they will take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it to the end.
27The kingdom and the dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole sky, will be given to the people of the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions will serve and obey him.’
28“Here is the end of the matter. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts troubled me greatly, and my face was changed in me; but I kept the matter in my heart.”
