Daniel 1

Im dritten Jahre der Regierung Jojakims, des Königs von Juda, kam Nebukadnezar, der König von Babel, nach Jerusalem und belagerte es.

EN el año tercero del reinado de Joacim rey de Judá, vino Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia á Jerusalem, y cercóla.

In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem, and besieged it.

Und der Herr gab Jojakim, den König von Juda, und einen Teil der Geräte des Gotteshauses in seine Gewalt, und er verbrachte sie in das Land Sinear in den Tempel seines Gottes; die Geräte aber verbrachte er in die Schatzkammer seines Gottes.

Y el Señor entregó en sus manos á Joacim rey de Judá, y parte de los vasos de la casa de Dios, y trájolos á tierra de Sinar, á la casa de su dios: y metió los vasos en la casa del tesoro de su dios.

And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god.

Darauf befahl der König dem Obersten seiner Kämmerer, Aschpenaz, von den Israeliten und zwar aus der königlichen Familie und aus den Vornehmen

Y dijo el rey á Aspenaz, príncipe de sus eunucos, que trajese de los hijos de Israel, del linaje real de los príncipes,

And the king spake unto Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the children of Israel, and of the king’s seed, and of the princes;

The king spoke to Ashpenaz, the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring in some of the children of Israel, even of the royal offspring and of the nobles:

Knaben herbei zubringen, die ganz ohne jeglichen körperlichen Fehler, von schönem Aussehen, in allem Wissen wohlbewandert, kenntnisreich und einsichtsvoll wären und die Fähigkeit besäßen, im Palaste des Königs zu dienen, und sie in der Schrift und Sprache der Chaldäer zu unterrichten.

Muchachos en quienes no hubiese tacha alguna, y de buen parecer, y enseñados en toda sabiduría, y sabios en ciencia, y de buen entendimiento, é idóneos para estar en el palacio del rey; y que les enseñase las letras y la lengua de los Caldeos.

Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king’s palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans.

Und der König wies ihnen ihre tägliche Ration von der königlichen Tafel und von dem Weine, den er zu trinken pflegte, an und befahl, sie drei Jahre zu erziehen, damit sie nach Ablauf derselben in den königlichen Dienst träten.

Y señalóles el rey ración para cada día de la ración de la comida del rey, y del vino de su beber: que los criase tres años, para que al fin de ellos estuviesen delante del rey.

And the king appointed them a daily provision of the king’s meat, and of the wine which he drank: so nourishing them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand before the king.

Unter ihnen befanden sich auch die Judäer Daniel, Hananja, Misael und Asarja;

Y fueron entre ellos, de los hijos de Judá, Daniel, Ananías, Misael y Azarías:

Now among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:

der Oberkämmerer aber gab ihnen andere Namen: Daniel nannte er Beltsazar, Hananja Sadrach, Misael Mesach und Asarja Abed-Nego.

A los cuales el príncipe de los eunucos puso nombres: y puso á Daniel, Beltsasar; y á Ananías, Sadrach; y á Misael, Mesach; y á Azarías, Abed-nego.

Unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Daniel the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and to Azariah, of Abed-nego.

The prince of the eunuchs gave names to them: to Daniel he gave the name Belteshazzar; to Hananiah, Shadrach; to Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, Abednego.

Daniel nahm sich jedoch fest vor, sich nicht durch den Genuß der königlichen Speise und des Weins, von dem der König trank, zu verunreinigen, und erbat sich von dem Oberkämmerer die Erlaubnis, sich nicht verunreinigen zu müssen.

Y Daniel propuso en su corazón de no contaminarse en la ración de la comida del rey, ni en el vino de su beber: pidió por tanto al príncipe de los eunucos de no contaminarse.

But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

Gott aber ließ Daniel bei dem Oberkämmerer Huld und Erbarmen finden;

(Y puso Dios á Daniel en gracia y en buena voluntad con el príncipe de los eunucos.)

Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.

Now God made Daniel find kindness and compassion in the sight of the prince of the eunuchs.

doch sagte der Oberkämmerer zu Daniel: Ich hege nur die Befürchtung, daß mein Herr, der König, der euch die Speise und das Getränk angewiesen hat, euer Aussehen schmächtiger finden könnte, als das der anderen Knaben eures Alters, und daß dann durch eure Schuld mein Kopf beim Könige verwirkt ist!

Y dijo el príncipe de los eunucos á Daniel: Tengo temor de mi señor el rey, que señaló vuestra comida y vuestra bebida; pues luego que él habrá visto vuestros rostros más tristes que los de los muchachos que son semejantes á vosotros, condenaréis para con el rey mi cabeza.

And the prince of the eunuchs said unto Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who hath appointed your meat and your drink: for why should he see your faces worse liking than the children which are of your sort? then shall ye make me endanger my head to the king.

The prince of the eunuchs said to Daniel, “I fear my lord the king, who has appointed your food and your drink. For why should he see your faces worse looking than the youths who are of your own age? Then you would endanger my head with the king.”

Da sprach Daniel zum Obermundschenk, den der Oberkämmerer über Daniel, Hananja, Misael und Asarja gesetzt hatte:

Entonces dijo Daniel á Melsar, que estaba puesto por el príncipe de los eunucos sobre Daniel, Ananías, Misael, y Azarías:

Then said Daniel to Melzar, whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah,

Then Daniel said to the steward whom the prince of the eunuchs had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah:

Versuche es einmal mit deinen Knechten zehn Tage, daß man uns nur Pflanzenkost zu essen und nur Wasser zu trinken gebe!

Prueba, te ruego, tus siervos diez días, y dennos legumbres á comer, y agua á beber.

Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink.

“Test your servants, I beg you, ten days; and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink.

Dann möge unser Aussehen und das Aussehen der Knaben, die von der königlichen Speise essen, deiner Besichtigung unterliegen, und je nach dem du es finden wirst, magst du dann mit deinen Knechten verfahren!

Parezcan luego delante de ti nuestros rostros, y los rostros de los muchachos que comen de la ración de la comida del rey; y según que vieres, harás con tus siervos.

Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king’s meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants.

Then let our faces be examined before you, and the face of the youths who eat of the king’s delicacies; and as you see, deal with your servants.”

Da gewährte er ihnen diese Bitte und versuchte es mit ihnen zehn Tage.

Consintió pues con ellos en esto, y probó con ellos diez días.

So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days.

So he listened to them in this matter, and tested them for ten days.

Nach Verlauf von zehn Tagen aber sahen sie besser und wohlbeleibter aus als alle die Knaben, die von der königlichen Speise zu essen pflegten.

Y al cabo de los diez días pareció el rostro de ellos mejor y más nutrido de carne, que los otros muchachos que comían de la ración de la comida del rey.

And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king’s meat.

At the end of ten days, their faces appeared fairer and they were fatter in flesh than all the youths who ate of the king’s delicacies.

Fortan ließ der Obermundschenk, was ihnen an Speise und Wein bestimmt war, hinwegtragen und gab ihnen Pflanzenkost.

Así fué que Melsar tomaba la ración de la comida de ellos, y el vino de su beber, y dábales legumbres.

Thus Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse.

So the steward took away their delicacies and the wine that they were given to drink, and gave them vegetables.

Diesen vier Knaben verlieh Gott Wissen und Verständnis für jede Art Schrift und Wissenschaft; Daniel aber konnte auch alle Gesichte und Träume verstehen.

Y á estos cuatro muchachos dióles Dios conocimiento é inteligencia en todas letras y ciencia: mas Daniel tuvo entendimiento en toda visión y sueños.

As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

Als nun die Zeit, nach welcher der König sie vorzustellen befohlen hatte, abgelaufen war, stellte sie der Oberkämmerer Nebukadnezar vor.

Pasados pues los días al fin de los cuales había dicho el rey que los trajesen, el príncipe de los eunucos los trajo delante de Nabucodonosor.

Now at the end of the days that the king had said he should bring them in, then the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.

Als sich aber der König mit ihnen unterhielt, fand sich unter ihnen allen niemand wie Daniel, Hananja, Misael und Asarja; so traten sie in den königlichen Dienst,

Y el rey habló con ellos, y no fué hallado entre todos ellos otro como Daniel, Ananías, Misael, y Azarías: y así estuvieron delante del rey.

And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king.

und in allen Fällen, wo es sich um Weisheit und Einsicht handelte, fand sie der König, so oft er sie befragte, allen Zauberern und Wahrsagern in seinem ganzen Reiche zehnfach überlegen.

Y en todo negocio de sabiduría é inteligencia que el rey les demandó, hallólos diez veces mejores que todos los magos y astrólogos que había en todo su reino.

And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.

Daniel aber erlebte noch das erste Jahr des Königs Cyrus.

Y fué Daniel hasta el año primero del rey Ciro.

And Daniel continued even unto the first year of king Cyrus.
