4youths who ⌞have no physical defect⌟, and who are ⌞handsome⌟, and who are prudent in all wisdom and ⌞endowed with knowledge⌟, and who understand insight, and who have the ⌞ability⌟ in them to serve in the palace of the king. And the king ordered him to teach them the literature and the language of the Chaldeans.

4Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king’s palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans.
