1»Zu jener Zeit nämlich wird Michael auftreten, der große Engelfürst, der deine Volksgenossen beschützt, und es wird eine Zeit der Bedrängnis eintreten, wie noch keine dagewesen ist, seitdem es Völker gibt, bis zu jener Zeit; aber dein Volk wird in jener Zeit gerettet werden, nämlich ein jeder, der sich im Buch (des Lebens) aufgezeichnet findet.
2Und viele von denen, die im Staube der Erde schlafen, werden erwachen, die einen zu ewigem Leben, die anderen zu Schmach, zu ewigem Abscheu.
3Die Verständigen aber werden leuchten wie der Glanz der Himmelsfeste, und die, welche viele zur Gerechtigkeit geführt haben, wie die Sterne in alle Ewigkeit.«
4»Du aber, Daniel, halte das Gesagte unter Verschluß und versiegle das Buch bis zur Endzeit; viele werden es dann durchforschen, und so wird die Erkenntnis zunehmen.«
5Als ich, Daniel, mich nun umschaute, sah ich zwei andere (Engel) dastehen, den einen auf diesem, den andern auf jenem Ufer des Stromes;
6und der eine sagte zu dem in Linnen gekleideten Manne, der (jetzt) über den Fluten des Stromes stand: »Wie lange (wird es noch dauern, bis) das Ende dieser wunderbaren Dinge (eintritt)?«
7Da hörte ich den in Linnen gekleideten Mann, der über den Fluten des Stromes stand; er erhob seine rechte und seine linke Hand zum Himmel und schwur bei dem ewig Lebenden: »Noch eine Zeit, (zwei) Zeiten und eine halbe Zeit; und sobald die Macht des Zerstörers des heiligen Volkes ihr Ende erreicht hat, dann wird dies alles sich erfüllen!«
8Ich hörte dies wohl, verstand es aber nicht und fragte deshalb: »Mein Herr, was wird der Ausgang von diesen dingen sein?«
9Da antwortete er: »Gehe, Daniel! Denn die Offenbarungen sollen verschlossen und versiegelt bleiben bis zur Endzeit.
10Viele werden ausgesondert, gereinigt und geläutert werden, aber die Gottlosen werden gottlos handeln; und kein Gottloser wird Verständnis dafür haben, während die Verständigen es verstehen werden.
11Und von der Zeit an, wo das tägliche Opfer abgeschafft und der Greuel der Verwüstung aufgestellt wird, sind es 1290 Tage.
12Wohl dem, der da ausharrt und 1335 Tage erreicht!
13Du aber gehe hin, dem Ende entgegen! Du darfst nun ruhen und wirst zu deinem Lose aufstehen am Ende der Tage.«

1Y EN aquel tiempo se levantará Miguel, el gran príncipe que está por los hijos de tu pueblo; y será tiempo de angustia, cual nunca fué después que hubo gente hasta entonces: mas en aquel tiempo será libertado tu pueblo, todos los que se hallaren escritos en el libro.
2Y muchos de los que duermen en el polvo de la tierra serán despertados, unos para vida eterna, y otros para vergüenza y confusión perpetua.
3Y los entendidos resplandecerán como el resplandor del firmamento; y los que enseñan á justicia la multitud, como las estrellas á perpetua eternidad.
4Tú empero Daniel, cierra las palabras y sella el libro hasta el tiempo del fin: pasarán muchos, y multiplicaráse la ciencia.
5Y yo, Daniel, miré, y he aquí otros dos que estaban, el uno de esta parte á la orilla del río, y el otro de la otra parte á la orilla del río.
6Y dijo uno al varón vestido de lienzos, que estaba sobre las aguas del río: ¿Cuándo será el fin de estas maravillas?
7Y oía al varón vestido de lienzos, que estaba sobre las aguas del río, el cual alzó su diestra y su siniestra al cielo, y juró por el Viviente en los siglos, que será por tiempo, tiempos, y la mitad. Y cuando se acabare el esparcimiento del escuadrón del pueblo santo, todas estas cosas serán cumplidas.
8Y yo oí, mas no entendí. Y dije: Señor mío, ¿qué será el cumplimiento de estas cosas?
9Y dijo: Anda, Daniel, que estas palabras están cerradas y selladas hasta el tiempo del cumplimiento.
10Muchos serán limpios, y emblanquecidos, y purificados; mas los impíos obrarán impíamente, y ninguno de los impíos entenderá, pero entenderán los entendidos.
11Y desde el tiempo que fuere quitado el continuo sacrificio hasta la abominación espantosa, habrá mil doscientos y noventa días.
12Bienaventurado el que esperare, y llegare hasta mil trescientos treinta y cinco días.
13Y tú irás al fin, y reposarás, y te levantarás en tu suerte al fin de los días.

1And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
2And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
4But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
5Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.
6And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
7And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
8And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
9And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
10Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
11And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
13But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.

1“At that time Michael will stand up, the great prince who stands for the children of your people; and there will be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time. At that time your people will be delivered, everyone who is found written in the book.
2Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3Those who are wise will shine as the brightness of the expanse. Those who turn many to righteousness will shine as the stars forever and ever.
4But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even to the time of the end. Many will run back and forth, and knowledge will be increased.”
5Then I, Daniel, looked, and behold, two others stood, one on the river bank on this side, and the other on the river bank on that side.
6One said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be to the end of these wonders?”
7I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by him who lives forever that it will be for a time, times, and a half; and when they have finished breaking in pieces the power of the holy people, all these things will be finished.
8I heard, but I didn’t understand. Then I said, “My lord, what will be the outcome of these things?”
9He said, “Go your way, Daniel; for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end.
10Many will purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined, but the wicked will do wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.
11“From the time that the continual burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there will be one thousand two hundred ninety days.
12Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred thirty-five days.
13“But go your way until the end; for you will rest, and will stand in your inheritance at the end of the days.”
