Daniel 10

L'anno terzo di Ciro re di Persia fu rivelata una parola a Daniele cognominato Balthasar, una parola vera, e una fortezza grande: ed egli comprese la cosa; perocché necessaria è per questa visione l'intelligenza.

EN el tercer año de Ciro rey de Persia, fué revelada palabra á Daniel, cuyo nombre era Beltsasar; y la palabra era verdadera, mas el tiempo fijado era largo: él empero comprendió la palabra, y tuvo inteligencia en la visión.

In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.

In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a message was revealed to Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the message was true, even a great warfare. He understood the message, and had understanding of the vision.

In que' giorni io Daniele mi stava piangendo pel corso di tre settimane,

En aquellos días yo Daniel me contristé por espacio de tres semanas.

In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks.

In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three whole weeks.

Non mangiai pane fino, e non entrò nella mia bocca carne, né vino, né mi unsi d'unguento, finché non furon passati i giorni di tre settimane.

No comí pan delicado, ni entró carne ni vino en mi boca, ni me unté con ungüento, hasta que se cumplieron tres semanas de días.

I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.

I ate no pleasant food. No meat or wine came into my mouth. I didn’t anoint myself at all, until three whole weeks were fulfilled.

Ma il dì ventiquattro del primo mese io me ne stava vicino al gran fiume il Tigri;

Y á los veinte y cuatro días del mes primero estaba yo á la orilla del gran río Hiddekel;

And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel;

Ed alzai gli occhi miei, e vidi, ed ecco un uomo vestito di abiti di lino, e i suoi fianchi eran cinti di fusciacca di fino oro;

Y alzando mis ojos miré, y he aquí un varón vestido de lienzos, y ceñidos sus lomos de oro de Uphaz:

Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz:

I lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, there was a man clothed in linen, whose waist was adorned with pure gold of Uphaz.

E il suo corpo era come il crisolito, e la sua faccia avea la somiglianza d'un folgore, e gli occhi di lui come lampana ardente, e le braccia, e le parti all'ingiù fino ai piedi erano simili ad un bronzo rovente; e il tuono di sue parole come il romorio d'una gran turba.

Y su cuerpo era como piedra de Tarsis, y su rostro parecía un relámpago, y sus ojos como antorchas de fuego, y sus brazos y sus pies como de color de metal resplandeciente, y la voz de sus palabras como la voz de ejército.

His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.

E vidi sol io Daniele questa visione; ma coloro, che eran con me, non la videro, ma un eccessivo terrore entrò in loro, e fuggirono a nascondersi.

Y sólo yo, Daniel, vi aquella visión, y no la vieron los hombres que estaban conmigo; sino que cayó sobre ellos un gran temor, y huyeron, y escondiéronse.

And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.

Ed io rimaso solo vidi questa visione grande, e non rimase in me vigore, e si alterò la mia faccia, e caddi in deliquio, e non ebbi più forza.

Quedé pues yo solo, y vi esta gran visión, y no quedó en mí esfuerzo; antes mi fuerza se me trocó en desmayo, sin retener vigor alguno.

Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.

So I was left alone and saw this great vision. No strength remained in me; for my face grew deathly pale, and I retained no strength.

E io udiva il suono di sue parole, e giaceva boccone tutto sbigottito, e la mia faccia era attaccata alla terra.

Empero oí la voz de sus palabras: y oyendo la voz de sus palabras, estaba yo adormecido sobre mi rostro, y mi rostro en tierra.

Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.

Quand'ecco una mano toccommi, e fecemi alzar sulle mie ginocchia, e sulle dita nelle mie mani.

Y, he aquí, una mano me tocó, é hizo que me moviese sobre mis rodillas, y sobre las palmas de mis manos.

And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.

Ed ei disse a me: Daniele, uomo di desideri, intendi le parole, che io ti dico, e sta su' tuoi piedi; imperocché io sono stato ora spedito a te: e quando egli mi ebbe dette queste parole, io mi stetti tremante.

Y díjome: Daniel, varón de deseos, está atento á las palabras que te hablaré, y levántate sobre tus pies; porque á ti he sido enviado ahora. Y estando hablando conmigo esto, yo estaba temblando.

And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.

He said to me, “Daniel, you greatly beloved man, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have been sent to you, now.” When he had spoken this word to me, I stood trembling.

Ed ei disse a me: Non temere, o Daniele; perocché fin dal primo giorno, in cui, affin di ottenere intelligenza, ti mettesti in cuore di affliggerti al cospetto del tuo Dio, furono esaudite le tue parole, e per ragione di tue orazioni son io venuto.

Y díjome: Daniel, no temas: porque desde el primer día que diste tu corazón á entender, y á afligirte en la presencia de tu Dios, fueron oídas tus palabras; y á causa de tus palabras yo soy venido.

Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

Then he said to me, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel; for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard. I have come for your words’ sake.

Ma il principe del regno de' Persiani si oppose a me per ventun giorno: ma Michele, uno de' primari principi, venne in mio soccorso, ed io rimasi colà presso il re de' Persiani.

Mas el príncipe del reino de Persia se puso contra mí veintiún días: y he aquí, Miguel, uno de los principales príncipes, vino para ayudarme, y yo quedé allí con los reyes de Persia.

But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

Or io son venuto per ispiegare a te le cose, che avverranno al popol tuo negli ultimi giorni; imperocché questa visione va ai giorni rimoti.

Soy pues venido para hacerte saber lo que ha de venir á tu pueblo en los postreros días; porque la visión es aún para días.

Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.

Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision is yet for many days.”

E nel tempo, ch'ei mi diceva queste parole, abbassai a terra il mio volto, e mi tacqui.

Y estando hablando conmigo semejantes palabras, puse mis ojos en tierra, y enmudecí.

And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb.

When he had spoken these words to me, I set my face toward the ground and was mute.

Ed ecco che colui, che era simile a un figliuolo di uomo, toccò le mie labbra, e aprendo io la mia bocca, parlai, e dissi a lui, che stavami dirimpetto: Signor mio, al veder te si sono sciolte tutte le mie giunture, e non mi è restato vigore alcuno.

Mas he aquí, como una semejanza de hijo de hombre tocó mis labios. Entonces abrí mi boca, y hablé, y dije á aquel que estaba delante de mí: Señor mío, con la visión se revolvieron mis dolores sobre mí, y no me quedó fuerza.

And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength.

Behold, one in the likeness of the sons of men touched my lips. Then I opened my mouth, and spoke and said to him who stood before me, “My lord, by reason of the vision my sorrows have overtaken me, and I retain no strength.

E come potrà egli il servo del mio Signore parlare col Signor mio? imperocché non è rimaso vigore in me, ed ancor mi manca il respiro.

¿Cómo pues podrá el siervo de mi señor hablar con este mi señor? porque al instante me faltó la fuerza, y no me ha quedado aliento.

For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me.

Di nuovo adunque toccommi colui, ch'io vedea simile ad uomo, e rendettemi lena;

Y aquella como semejanza de hombre me tocó otra vez, y me confortó;

Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me,

E disse: Non temere, o uomo di desiderj: pace sia a te: ripiglia vigore, e robustezza. E mentre egli parlava meco, io mi rinvigorii, e dissi: Parla, Signor mio; perocché tu mi hai riconfortato.

Y díjome: Varón de deseos, no temas: paz á ti; ten buen ánimo, y aliéntate. Y hablando él conmigo cobré yo vigor, y dije: Hable mi señor, porque me has fortalecido.

And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.

He said, “Greatly beloved man, don’t be afraid. Peace be to you. Be strong. Yes, be strong.” When he spoke to me, I was strengthened, and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”

Ed ei disse: E non sai tu il perchè io sono venuto a te? Ed ora io tornerò a combattere contro il principe de' Persiani. Quand'io partiva, compariva il principe de' Greci, che veniva.

Y dijo: ¿Sabes por qué he venido á ti? Porque luego tengo de volver para pelear con el príncipe de los Persas; y en saliendo yo, luego viene el príncipe de Grecia.

Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come.

Then he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? Now I will return to fight with the prince of Persia. When I go out, behold, the prince of Greece will come.

Ma io annunzierò a te quello, che sta espresso nella Scrittura di verità: e nissuno mi dà aiuto in tutto questo, se non Michele vostro principe. Profezia intorno ai re di Persia, e al re de' Greci. Delle guerre tra i re del mezzodì, e del settentrione: e di un re, quale non farà nissun conto del Dio degli dei: Provincie, che gli saranno soggette, o si sottrerranno al dominio di lui.

Empero yo te declararé lo que está escrito en la escritura de verdad: y ninguno hay que se esfuerce conmigo en estas cosas, sino Miguel vuestro príncipe.

But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.

But I will tell you that which is inscribed in the writing of truth. There is no one who holds with me against these but Michael your prince.
