12Sodann sprach er zu mir: Sei getrost, Daniel, denn gleich am ersten Tage, da du dir vorgenommen hast, Erkenntnis zu gewinnen und dich vor deinem Gotte zu demütigen, sind deine Worte erhört worden, und ich bin wegen deiner Worte erschienen.

12Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
