Porque yo deseo que sepan la grande lucha que he tenido por ustedes y por aquellos en Laodicea y por muchos que no me han visto cara a cara.
PORQUE quiero que sepáis cuán gran solicitud tengo por vosotros, y por los que están en Laodicea, y por todos los que nunca vieron mi rostro en carne;
For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
For I desire to have you know how greatly I struggle for you and for those at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
Yo trabajo para que sus corazones sean alentados por ser traídos juntos en amor y a todas las riquezas de la seguridad completa del entendimiento, en el conocimiento de la verdad secreta de Dios, que es, Cristo.
Para que sean confortados sus corazones, unidos en amor, y en todas riquezas de cumplido entendimiento para conocer el misterio de Dios, y del Padre, y de Cristo;
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

En Él todos los tesoros de sabiduría y conocimiento están escondidos.

Les digo esto para que nadie pueda engañarlos con palabras persuasivas.

And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
Now I say this that no one may delude you with persuasiveness of speech.
Aunque yo no estoy con ustedes en la carne, sí lo estoy en espíritu. Yo me regocijo de ver su buen orden y la fortaleza de su fe en Cristo.
Porque aunque estoy ausente con el cuerpo, no obstante con el espíritu estoy con vosotros, gozándome y mirando vuestro concierto, y la firmeza de vuestra fe en Cristo.
For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.

Así como ustedes recibieron a Cristo el Señor, caminen en Él.

Estén firmemente plantados en Él, sean edificados en Él, estén establecidos en la fe así como ustedes fueron enseñados y abunden en acciones de gracias.
Arraigados y sobreedificados en él, y confirmados en la fe, así como habéis aprendido, creciendo en ella con hacimiento de gracias.
Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Velen que nadie los capture mediante la filosofía y la falsedad vacía de acuerdo a la tradición de los hombres, conforme a los elementos del mundo, y no conforme a Cristo.
Mirad que ninguno os engañe por filosofías y vanas sutilezas, según las tradiciones de los hombres, conforme á los elementos del mundo, y no según Cristo:
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Be careful that you don’t let anyone rob you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the elemental spirits of the world, and not after Christ.
Porque en Él vive toda la plenitud del Dios corporal.
Porque en él habita toda la plenitud de la divinidad corporalmente:
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Y ustedes están completos en Él. Él es la cabeza de todo poder y autoridad.

En Él ustedes fueron también circuncidados con una circuncisión no hecha por humanos en la remoción del cuerpo de carne, sino en la circuncisión de Cristo.
En el cual también sois circuncidados de circuncisión no hecha con manos, con el despojamiento del cuerpo de los pecados de la carne, en la circuncisión de Cristo;
In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the sins of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ,
Ustedes fueron enterrados con Él en el bautismo, y en Él ustedes fueron levantados mediante la fe en el poder de Dios, quien lo levantó a Él de los muertos.
Sepultados juntamente con él en el bautismo, en el cual también resucitasteis con él, por la fe de la operación de Dios que le levantó de los muertos.
Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

Cuando ustedes estaban muertos en sus transgresiones y en la incircusición de su carne, Él los hizo a ustedes vivos junto con Él y nos perdonó todas nuestras transgresiones.
Y á vosotros, estando muertos en pecados y en la incircuncisión de vuestra carne, os vivificó juntamente con él, perdonándoos todos los pecados,
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

Él borró el registro escrito de deudas y las regulaciones que estaban contra nosotros.
Rayendo la cédula de los ritos que nos era contraria, que era contra nosotros, quitándola de en medio y enclavándola en la cruz;
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Él las removió todas y las clavó en la cruz. Él desarmó los poderes y autoridades, Él hizo un espectáculo público de ellos, siendo victorioso sobre ellos por la cruz.

Así entonces, no permitan que nadie los juzgue a ustedes por lo que estén comiendo o bebiendo, o sobre un día festivo o luna nueva, o sobre los días del Sabat.
Por tanto, nadie os juzgue en comida, ó en bebida, ó en parte de día de fiesta, ó de nueva luna, ó de sábados:
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Let no one therefore judge you in eating or drinking, or with respect to a feast day or a new moon or a Sabbath day,
Estas son sombras de las cosas por venir, pero la sustancia es Cristo.
Lo cual es la sombra de lo por venir; mas el cuerpo es de Cristo.
Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

No dejen a nadie que quiere humildad y la adoración de ángeles los guíe a ustedes fuera de su premio. Tal persona entra en las cosas que ha visto y se infla por el pensamiento carnal.
Nadie os prive de vuestro premio, afectando humildad y culto á los ángeles, metiéndose en lo que no ha visto, vanamente hinchado en el sentido de su propia carne,
Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
Let no one rob you of your prize by self-abasement and worshiping of the angels, dwelling in the things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
Él no se sujeta a la cabeza. Es desde la cabeza que todo el cuerpo mediante sus coyunturas y ligamentos es nutrido y mantenido junto; este crece con el crecimiento dado por Dios.
Y no teniendo la cabeza, de la cual todo el cuerpo, alimentado y conjunto por las ligaduras y conjunturas, crece en aumento de Dios.
And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
and not holding firmly to the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and ligaments, grows with God’s growth.
Si ustedes mueren junto con Cristo a los elementos del mundo, ¿por qué ustedes viven como si estuvieran obligados al mundo:
Pues si sois muertos con Cristo cuanto á los rudimentos del mundo, ¿por qué como si vivieseis al mundo, os sometéis á ordenanzas,
Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
If you died with Christ from the elemental spirits of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances,
"No lo cojas, no pruebes, no toques"?
Tales como, No manejes, ni gustes, ni aun toques,
(Touch not; taste not; handle not;
“Don’t handle, nor taste, nor touch”
Todas estas cosas están destinadas para corrupción con el uso, de acuerdo a las instrucciones y enseñanzas de hombres.
(Las cuales cosas son todas para destrucción en el uso mismo), en conformidad á mandamientos y doctrinas de hombres?
Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
(all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men?
Estas reglas tienen la sabiduría de una religión hecha por sí misma y humildad y severidad del cuerpo. Pero ellas no tienen valor contra la indulgencia de la carne.
Tales cosas tienen á la verdad cierta reputación de sabiduría en culto voluntario, y humildad, y en duro trato del cuerpo; no en alguna honra para el saciar de la carne.
Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.
These things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imposed worship, humility, and severity to the body, but aren’t of any value against the indulgence of the flesh.
