qui, possédant, il est vrai, un renom de sagesse, en raison d'un culte arbitraire et d'une humilité dus au mépris du corps, non en raison d'aucun mérite, ne servent qu'à satisfaire la chair ?

Tales cosas tienen á la verdad cierta reputación de sabiduría en culto voluntario, y humildad, y en duro trato del cuerpo; no en alguna honra para el saciar de la carne.

Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

These things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imposed worship, humility, and severity to the body, but aren’t of any value against the indulgence of the flesh.
