OID esta palabra, porque yo levanto endecha sobre vosotros, casa de Israel.
Hear ye this word which I take up against you, even a lamentation, O house of Israel.
Listen to this word which I take up for a lamentation over you, O house of Israel:
La vergine d'Israele è gettata per terra, e non havvi chi la rialzi.
Cayó la virgen de Israel, no más podrá levantarse; dejada fué sobre su tierra, no hay quien la levante.
The virgin of Israel is fallen; she shall no more rise: she is forsaken upon her land; there is none to raise her up.
“The virgin of Israel has fallen; She shall rise no more. She is cast down on her land; there is no one to raise her up.”
Imperocché così dice il Signore Dio: La città, che dava mille uomini, rimarrà con cento, e quella, che ne dava cento, resterà con dieci nella famiglia d'Israele.
Porque así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: La ciudad que sacaba mil, quedará con ciento; y la que sacaba ciento, quedará con diez, en la casa de Israel.
For thus saith the Lord GOD; The city that went out by a thousand shall leave an hundred, and that which went forth by an hundred shall leave ten, to the house of Israel.
For the Lord GOD says: “The city that went out a thousand shall have a hundred left, and that which went out one hundred shall have ten left to the house of Israel.”
Ma il Signore dice alla casa d'Israele; Cercatemi, e viverete:
Empero así dice Jehová á la casa de Israel: Buscadme, y viviréis;
For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:
For the LORD says to the house of Israel: “Seek me, and you will live;
E non cercate di Bethel, e non andate a Galgal, e non passate a Bersabea; perocché Galgala anderà in ischiavitù, e Bethel sarà casa vuota.
Y no busquéis á Beth-el ni entréis en Gilgal, ni paséis á Beer-seba: porque Gilgal será llevada en cautiverio, y Beth-el será deshecha.
But seek not Beth-el, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beer-sheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Beth-el shall come to nought.
but don’t seek Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and don’t pass to Beersheba; for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nothing.
Cercate il Signore, e viverete: affinchè per disgrazia non arda come fuoco la casa di Giuseppe, e non divori Bethel, senza che siavi chi lo estingua.
Buscad á Jehová, y vivid; no sea que hienda, como fuego, á la casa de José, y la consuma, sin haber en Beth-el quien lo apague.
Seek the LORD, and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Beth-el.

O voi, che convertite il giudizio in amarezza, e lasciate la giustizia per terra,
Los que convierten en ajenjo el juicio, y dejan en tierra la justicia,
Ye who turn judgment to wormwood, and leave off righteousness in the earth,
You who turn justice to wormwood, and cast down righteousness to the earth!
Cercate lui, che creò Arturo, ed Orione, che cangia le tenebre in mattino, e muta il giorno in notte, che chiama le acque del mare, e le versa sopra la terra: il suo nome egli è, il Signore:
Miren al que hace el Arcturo y el Orión, y las tinieblas vuelve en mañana, y hace oscurecer el día en noche; el que llama á las aguas de la mar, y las derrama sobre la haz de la tierra: Jehová es su nombre:
Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name:
Seek him who made the Pleiades and Orion, and turns the shadow of death into the morning, and makes the day dark with night; who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out on the surface of the earth, the LORD is his name,
Il quale scherzando manda per terra i robusti, e fa, che siano saccheggiati i potenti.
Que da esfuerzo al despojador sobre el fuerte, y que el despojador venga contra la fortaleza.
That strengtheneth the spoiled against the strong, so that the spoiled shall come against the fortress.
who brings sudden destruction on the strong, so that destruction comes on the fortress.
Hanno odiato chi alla porta li correggeva, ed hanno preso in avversione chi parlava con rettitudine.
Ellos aborrecieron en la puerta al reprensor, y al que hablaba lo recto abominaron.
They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.
They hate him who reproves in the gate, and they abhor him who speaks blamelessly.
Per questa, siccome voi spogliavate il povero, e gli toglievate il meglio, voi edificherete delle case di pietra quadrata, ma non le abiterete: e pianterete vigne deliziosissime, ma non ne berete il vino:
Por tanto, pues que vejáis al pobre y recibís de él carga de trigo; edificasteis casas de sillares, mas no las habitaréis; plantasteis hermosas viñas, mas no beberéis el vino de ellas.
Forasmuch therefore as your treading is upon the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them.
Therefore, because you trample on the poor and take taxes from him of wheat, you have built houses of cut stone, but you will not dwell in them. You have planted pleasant vineyards, but you shall not drink their wine.
Perocché sono note a me le molte vostre scelleraggini, e i forti peccati vostri, o nemici della giustizia, amanti dei doni, oppressori dei poveri alle porte:
Porque sabido he vuestras muchas rebeliones, y vuestros grandes pecados: que afligen al justo, y reciben cohecho, y á los pobres en la puerta hacen perder su causa.
For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right.
For I know how many are your offenses, and how great are your sins— you who afflict the just, who take a bribe, and who turn away the needy in the courts.
Per questo il prudente in tempo tale si tacerà, perché è tempo cattivo.
Por tanto, el prudente en tal tiempo calla, porque el tiempo es malo.
Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it is an evil time.

Cercate il bene, e non il male, affine di aver vita, e il Signore Dio degli eserciti sarà con voi, come avete detto.
Buscad lo bueno, y no lo malo, para que viváis; porque así Jehová Dios de los ejércitos será con vosotros, como decís.
Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.

Odiate il male, e amate il bene, e rimettete in piedi la giustizia alla porta, e il Signore Dio degli eserciti avrà forse misericordia delle reliquie di Giuseppe.
Aborreced el mal, y amad el bien, y poned juicio en la puerta: quizá Jehová, Dios de los ejércitos, tendrá piedad del remanente de José.
Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.
Hate evil, love good, and establish justice in the courts. It may be that the LORD, the God of Armies, will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.”
Per questo così dice il Signore Dio degli eserciti, il Dominatore: In tutte le piazze saran lamenti, e in tutti i luoghi di fuori dirassi: Guai, guai, e s'inviteranno al pianto gli agricoltori, e al duolo tutti quelli, che sanno far duolo.
Por tanto, así ha dicho Jehová Dios de los ejércitos, el Señor: En todas las plazas habrá llanto, y en todas las calles dirán, ¡Ay! ¡ay! y al labrador llamarán á lloro, y á endecha á los que endechar supieren.
Therefore the LORD, the God of hosts, the Lord, saith thus; Wailing shall be in all streets; and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful of lamentation to wailing.
Therefore the LORD, the God of Armies, the Lord, says: “Wailing will be in all the wide ways. They will say in all the streets, ‘Alas! Alas!’ They will call the farmer to mourning, and those who are skillful in lamentation to wailing.
E in tutte le vigne saranno lamenti, perchè io passero per mezzo a voi, dice il Signore.
Y en todas las viñas habrá llanto; porque pasaré por medio de ti, dice Jehová.
And in all vineyards shall be wailing: for I will pass through thee, saith the LORD.

Guai a quelli, che desiderano il dì del Signore. Perchè lo bramate voi? Quel giorno saran tenebre, e non luce.

Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.
“Woe to you who desire the day of the LORD! Why do you long for the day of the LORD? It is darkness, and not light.
Come un uomo, che fugge la vista del lione, e s'imbatte in un orso, od entrando in sua casa, e appoggiandosi colla mano alla parete vien morso da un serpente.
Como el que huye de delante del león, y se topa con el oso; ó si entrare en casa y arrimare su mano á la pared, y le muerda la culebra.
As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.
As if a man fled from a lion, and a bear met him; or he went into the house and leaned his hand on the wall, and a snake bit him.
Non sarà egli giorno di tenebre, e non di luce il dì del Signore, e mera caligine senza splendore?
¿No será el día de Jehová tinieblas, y no luz; oscuridad, que no tiene resplandor?
Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Io odio, e rigetto le vostre solennità, e non gradirò gli odori delle vostre adunanze.
Aborrecí, abominé vuestras solemnidades, y no me darán buen olor vuestras asambleas.
I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.

Che se mi offerite gli olocausti, e i doni vostri, io non gli accetterò, e non volgerò gli occhi alle grasse ostie offerte per voto da voi.

Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.

Lungi da me lo sconcerto de' vostri carmi, io non ascolterò le canzoni cantate da te sulla lira.
Quita de mí la multitud de tus cantares, que no escucharé las salmodias de tus instrumentos.
Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.
Take away from me the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps.
Ma la vendetta verrà fuori come acqua, e la giustizia come impetuoso torrente.
Antes corra el juicio como las aguas, y la justicia como impetuoso arroyo.

“Did you bring to me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, house of Israel?
E voi portavate il tabernacolo del vostro Moloch, e le figure de' vostri idoli, e la stella del vostro Dio, cose fatte da voi.
Mas llevabais el tabernáculo de vuestro Moloch y Chiún, ídolos vuestros, la estrella de vuestros dioses que os hicisteis.
But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.
You also carried the tent of your king and the shrine of your images, the star of your god, which you made for yourselves.
Or io vi farò passare di là da Damasco, Dice il Signore; il suo nome egli è, Dio degli eserciti. Guai a' superbi, e a quelli, che vivono nelle delizie, e a tutto il popolo d'Israele pieno di arroganza.
Hareos pues trasportar más allá de Damasco, ha dicho Jehová, cuyo nombre es Dios de los ejércitos.
