1DIE Worte des Amos, eines der Schafzüchter von Thekoa, Gesichte über Israel, aus den Tagen Usias, des Königs von Juda, und den Tagen Jerobeams, des Sohnes des Joas, des Königs von Israel, zwei Jahre vor dem Erdbeben. (a) Am 7:14; Jes 1:1; Hos 1:1; Sac 14:5
2Und er sprach: Donner des Gerichts brüllt vom Zion her, von Jerusalem lässt der Herr seine Stimme erschallen. Da trauern die Auen der Hirten, der Gipfel des Karmel verdorrt. (1) w: "Jahwe brüllt." Die Gericht ankündende Stimme Gottes, die der Prophet vernimmt, erfüllt ihn mit Grauen wie das Gebrüll des Löwen. (a) Jer 25:30; Joe 3:16
3So spricht der Herr: Wegen der drei Freveltaten von Damaskus, wegen der vier nehme ich es nicht zurück: weil sie Gilead mit eisernen Schlitten gedroschen haben. (a) Jes 17:1-3; Jer 49:23-27
4Ich lasse Feuer los wider das Haus Hasaels, dass es Benhadads Paläste verzehre. (a) 2Kön 13:3
5Und ich zerbreche den Riegel von Damaskus und rotte aus die Bewohner aus Bikath-Awen und den Szepterträger aus Beth-Eden, und nach Kir in die Verbannung muss das Volk Arams, spricht der Herr. (a) 2Kön 16:9
6So spricht der Herr: Wegen der drei Freveltaten von Gaza, wegen der vier nehme ich es nicht zurück: weil sie ganze Dörfer weggeschleppt haben, um sie an Edom auszuliefern. (a) Jes 14:28-32; Jer 47; Hes 25:15-17; 2Ch 21:16 17; 28:18
7Ich lasse Feuer los wider die Mauer von Gaza, dass es seine Paläste verzehre.
8Und ich rotte aus die Bewohner aus Asdod und den Szepterträger aus Askalon und kehre meine Hand wider Ekron, dass auch der letzte Philister umkommt, spricht der Herr.
9So spricht der Herr: Wegen der drei Freveltaten von Tyrus, wegen der vier nehme ich es nicht zurück: weil sie ganze Dörfer an Edom ausgeliefert und der Bruderpflicht nicht gedacht haben. (a) Jes 23; Hes 26-28; Joe 3:4
10Ich lasse Feuer los wider die Mauer von Tyrus, dass es seine Paläste verzehre.
11So spricht der Herr: Wegen der drei Freveltaten von Edom, wegen der vier nehme ich es nicht zurück: weil er seinen Bruder mit dem Schwerte verfolgt und sein Erbarmen erstickt hat, weil er seinen Zorn auf immer behalten und seinen Grimm auf ewig bewahrt hat. (a) Jer 49:7-22; Hes 25:12-14; Ob 1
12Ich lasse Feuer los wider Theman, dass es die Paläste von Bozra verzehre.
13So spricht der Herr: Wegen der drei Freveltaten der Ammoniter, wegen der vier nehme ich es nicht zurück: weil sie die Schwangern von Gilead aufgeschlitzt haben, um ihr Gebiet zu erweitern. (a) Jer 49:1-6; Hes 21:33-37; 25:1-7
14Ich lege Feuer an die Mauer von Rabba, dass es seine Paläste verzehre beim Kriegslärm am Tage der Schlacht, beim Wetter am Tage des Sturms.
15Ihr König zieht mit den Verbannten dahin, er mitsamt seinen Fürsten, spricht der Herr.

1LAS palabras de Amós, que fué entre los pastores de Tecoa, las cuales vió acerca de Israel en días de Uzzía rey de Judá, y en días de Jeroboam hijo de Joas rey de Israel, dos años antes del terremoto.
2Y dijo: Jehová bramará desde Sión, y dará su voz desde Jerusalem; y las estancias de los pastores se enlutarán, y secaráse la cumbre del Carmelo.
3Así ha dicho Jehová: Por tres pecados de Damasco, y por el cuarto, no desviaré su castigo; porque trillaron á Galaad con trillos de hierro.
4Y meteré fuego en la casa de Hazael, y consumirá los palacios de Benhadad.
5Y quebraré la barra de Damasco, y talaré los moradores de Bicath-aven, y los gobernadores de Beth-eden: y el pueblo de Aram será trasportado á Chîr, dice Jehová.
6Así ha dicho Jehová: Por tres pecados de Gaza, y por el cuarto, no desviaré su castigo; porque llevó cautiva toda la cautividad, para entregarlos á Edom.
7Y meteré fuego en el muro de Gaza, y quemará sus palacios.
8Y talaré los moradores de Azoto, y los gobernadores de Ascalón: y tornaré mi mano sobre Ecrón, y las reliquias de los Palestinos perecerán, ha dicho el Señor Jehová.
9Así ha dicho Jehová: Por tres pecados de Tiro, y por el cuarto, no desviaré su castigo; porque entregaron la cautividad entera á Edom, y no se acordaron del concierto de hermanos.
10Y meteré fuego en el muro de Tiro, y consumirá sus palacios.
11Así ha dicho Jehová: Por tres pecados de Edom, y por el cuarto, no desviaré su castigo; porque persiguió á cuchillo á su hermano, y rompió sus conmiseraciones; y con su furor le ha robado siempre, y ha perpetuamente guardado el enojo.
12Y meteré fuego en Temán, y consumirá los palacios de Bosra.
13Así ha dicho Jehová: Por tres pecados de los hijos de Ammón, y por el cuarto, no desviaré su castigo; porque abrieron las preñadas de Galaad, para ensanchar su término.
14Y encenderé fuego en el muro de Rabba, y consumirá sus palacios con estruendo en día de batalla, con tempestad en día tempestuoso:
15Y su rey irá en cautiverio, él y sus príncipes todos, dice Jehová.

1The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.
2And he said, The LORD will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.
3Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron:
4But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Ben-hadad.
5I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, saith the LORD.
6Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom:
7But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof:
8And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn mine hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord GOD.
9Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant:
10But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof.
11Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:
12But I will send a fire upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.
13Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border:
14But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:
15And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, saith the LORD.

13The LORD says: “For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment, because they have ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead, that they may enlarge their border.
14But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it will devour its palaces, with shouting in the day of battle, with a storm in the day of the whirlwind;
15and their king will go into captivity, he and his princes together,” says the LORD.
