So spricht Jahwe: Wegen der drei, ja vier Schandthaten der Edomiter will ich's nicht rückgängig machen - weil sie mit dem Schwert ihr Brudervolk verfolgt und beharrlich ihr Mitgefühl erstickt haben, weil sie beständig in ihrem Zorne verharrten und ihren Ingrimm niemals fahren ließen.
Así ha dicho Jehová: Por tres pecados de Edom, y por el cuarto, no desviaré su castigo; porque persiguió á cuchillo á su hermano, y rompió sus conmiseraciones; y con su furor le ha robado siempre, y ha perpetuamente guardado el enojo.
Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:
