Ma un cert'uomo detto Anania con Saffira, sua moglie vendè un podere,

MAS un varón llamado Ananías, con Safira su mujer, vendió una posesión,

E d'accordo con sua moglie ritenne del prezzo: e portandone una tal qual porzione, la pose a' piedi degli Apostoli.

Y defraudó del precio, sabiéndolo también su mujer; y trayendo una parte, púsola á los pies de los apóstoles.

E Pietro disse: Anania, come mai satana tentò il cuor tuo a mentire allo Spirito santo, e ritenere del prezzo del podere?

Y dijo Pedro: Ananías, ¿por qué ha llenado Satanás tu corazón á que mintieses al Espíritu Santo, y defraudases del precio de la heredad?

But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

Non è egli vero, che conservandolo stava per te, e venduto era in tuo potere? Per qual motivo ti sei messa in cuore tal cosa? Non hai mentito agli uomini, ma a Dio.

Reteniéndola, ¿no se te quedaba á ti? y vendida, ¿no estaba en tu potestad? ¿Por qué pusiste esto en tu corazón? No has mentido á los hombres, sino á Dios.

Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

While you kept it, didn’t it remain your own? After it was sold, wasn’t it in your power? How is it that you have conceived this thing in your heart? You haven’t lied to men, but to God.”

Udite, che ebbe Anania queste parole, cadde, e spirò. E gran timore entrò in tutti quei, che udirono.

Entonces Ananías, oyendo estas palabras, cayó y espiró. Y vino un gran temor sobre todos los que lo oyeron.

And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

E si mosser de' giovani, e quindi lo tolsero, e portaronlo a seppellire.

Y levantándose los mancebos, le tomaron, y sacándolo, sepultáronlo.

Era trascorso lo spazio di circa tre ore, quando la di lui moglie non informata del successo arrivò.

Y pasado espacio como de tres horas, sucedió que entró su mujer, no sabiendo lo que había acontecido.

E Pietro le disse: Dimmi o Donna, avete voi venduto il podere per il tal prezzo? Ed ella disse: così appunto.

Entonces Pedro le dijo: Dime: ¿vendisteis en tanto la heredad? Y ella dijo: Sí, en tanto.

And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.

Peter answered her, “Tell me whether you sold the land for so much.” She said, “Yes, for so much.”

E Pietro a lei: per qual motivo vi siete accordati a tentare lo spirito del Signore? Ecco, sono alla soglia i piedi di coloro, che hanno data sepoltura a tuo marito, e ti porteranno fuori.

Y Pedro le dijo: ¿Por qué os concertasteis para tentar al Espíritu del Señor? He aquí á la puerta los pies de los que han sepultado á tu marido, y te sacarán.

Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.

But Peter asked her, “How is it that you have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.”

E immantinenti ella cadde a' suoi piedi, e spirò. Ed entrati que' giovani trovaron la morta, e la portarono a seppellire accanto a suo marito.

Y luego cayó á los pies de él, y espiró: y entrados los mancebos, la hallaron muerta; y la sacaron, y la sepultaron junto á su marido.

Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.

She fell down immediately at his feet and died. The young men came in and found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her by her husband.

E gran timore ne nacque in tutta la chiesa, e in tutti coloro, che udirono tali cose.

Y vino un gran temor en toda la iglesia, y en todos los que oyeron estas cosas.

And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

E molti segni, e prodigj faceansi nel popolo per le mani degli Apostoli. E se ne stavano tutti d'accordo nel portico di Salomone.

Y por las manos de los apóstoles eran hechos muchos milagros y prodigios en el pueblo; y estaban todos unánimes en el pórtico de Salomón.

Degli altri poi nissuno ardiva di affratellarsi con essi: ma il popolo li celebrava.

And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.

E più e più cresceva la moltitudine di que', che credevano nel Signore, uomini, e donne.

Talmente che portavano fuori nelle piazze i malati, e li mettevano sopra letti, e strapunti, affinchè, passando Pietro, l'ombra almeno di lui adombrasse alcuno di essi, e fosser liberati dalle loro infermità.

Tanto que echaban los enfermos por las calles, y los ponían en camas y en lechos, para que viniendo Pedro, á lo menos su sombra tocase á alguno de ellos.

Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.

Concorreva eziandio a Gerusalemme molta gente dalle vicine città, portando de' malati, e vessati dagli spiriti immondi: i quali erano tutti quanti risanati.

Y aun de las ciudades vecinas concurría multitud á Jerusalem, trayendo enfermos y atormentados de espíritus inmundos; los cuales todos eran curados.

There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

Ma esacerbato il principe de' sacerdoti, e tutti quelli del suo partito (che è la setta de' Sadducei) si riempiron di zelo.

E messer le mani addosso agli Apostoli, e li poser nella pubblica prigione.

Y echaron mano á los apóstoles, y pusiéronlos en la cárcel pública.

Ma l'Angelo del Signore di notte tempo aprì le porte della prigione, e condottili fuora, disse:

Andate, e statevi nel tempio a predicare al popolo tutte le parole di questa scienza di vita.

Id, y estando en el templo, hablad al pueblo todas las palabras de esta vida.

Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.

Ed essi udito questo entrarono sul far dell'alba nel tempio, ed insegnavano. Ma venuto il principe de' sacerdoti, e quelli del suo partito, convocarono il sinedrio, e tutti i seniori de' figliuoli d'Israele: e mandarono alla prigione, perché gli fosser condotti davanti.

Y oído que hubieron esto, entraron de mañana en el templo, y enseñaban. Entre tanto, viniendo el príncipe de los sacerdotes, y los que eran con él, convocaron el concilio, y á todos los ancianos de los hijos de Israel, y enviaron á la cárcel para que fuesen traídos.

And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.

E andati i ministri, e aperta la prigione non li trovando, tornarono in dietro a recar questa nuova,

Mas como llegaron los ministros, y no los hallaron en la cárcel, volvieron, y dieron aviso,

But when the officers came, and found them not in the prison, they returned, and told,

But the officers who came didn’t find them in the prison. They returned and reported,

Dicendo: quanto alla prigione l'abbiamo trovata chiusa con tutta puntualità, e le guardie fuori in piedi alle porte: ma apertala niuno vi abbiamo trovato dentro.

Diciendo: Por cierto, la cárcel hemos hallado cerrada con toda seguridad, y los guardas que estaban delante de las puertas; mas cuando abrimos, á nadie hallamos dentro.

Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within.

“We found the prison shut and locked, and the guards standing before the doors, but when we opened them, we found no one inside!”

Udite tali parole, il prefetto del tempio, e i principi de' sacerdoti stavan, perplessi, dove queste cose andassero a finire.

Y cuando oyeron estas palabras el pontífice y el magistrado del templo y los príncipes de los sacerdotes, dudaban en qué vendría á parar aquello.

Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow.

Ma sopraggiunse chi diede lor questo avviso: ecco che quegli uomini, che furon messi da voi in prigione, stanno arditamente nel tempio, e insegnano al popolo.

Pero viniendo uno, dióles esta noticia: He aquí, los varones que echasteis en la cárcel, están en el templo, y enseñan al pueblo.

Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.

One came and told them, “Behold, the men whom you put in prison are in the temple, standing and teaching the people.”

Allora andò il magistrato con i ministri, e li menò via, non con violenza: imperocché temevan di non esser lapidati dal popolo.

Entonces fué el magistrado con los ministros, y trájolos sin violencia; porque temían del pueblo ser apedreados.

Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.

Diciendo: ¿No os denunciamos estrechamente, que no enseñaseis en este nombre? y he aquí, habéis llenado á Jerusalem de vuestra doctrina, y queréis echar sobre nosotros la sangre de este hombre.

Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.

saying, “Didn’t we strictly command you not to teach in this name? Behold, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and intend to bring this man’s blood on us.”

Rispose Pietro, e gli Apostoli, e dissero: bisogna ubbidire a Dio piuttosto, che agli uomini.

Y respondiendo Pedro y los apóstoles, dijeron: Es menester obedecer á Dios antes que á los hombres.

Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Il Dio de' padri nostri ha risuscitato Gesù, cui voi uccideste, appesolo ad un legno.

Questo principe, e salvatore lo esaltò Iddio colla sua destra per dare ad Israele la penitenza, e la remissione de' peccati.

E noi siamo testimoni di queste cose, ed anche lo spirito santo dato da Dio a tutti quelli che a lui ubbidiscono.

Quelli, udite tali cose, smaniavano, e trattavan di mettergli a morte.

Ma levatosi su uno del consiglio chiamato Gamaliele, Fariseo, dottor della legge, rispettato da tutto il popolo, ordinò di metter fuora per un po' di tempo quegli uomini,

Entonces levantándose en el concilio un Fariseo llamado Gamaliel, doctor de la ley, venerable á todo el pueblo, mandó que sacasen fuera un poco á los apóstoles.

Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space;

But one stood up in the council, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, honored by all the people, and commanded to put the apostles out for a little while.

E disse loro: uomini Israeliti, badate bene a quel, che siete per fare riguardo a questi uomini.

Y les dijo: Varones Israelitas, mirad por vosotros acerca de estos hombres en lo que habéis de hacer.

And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men.

He said to them, “You men of Israel, be careful concerning these men, what you are about to do.

Imperocché prima di questi giorni scappò fuori Teoda, dicente, se essere qualche cosa, col quale si associò un numero di circa quattrocento uomini, il quale fu ucciso: e tutti quelli, che gli credevano, furon dispersi e ridotti a niente.

Porque antes de estos días se levantó Teudas, diciendo que era alguien; al que se agregó un número de hombres como cuatrocientos: el cual fué matado; y todos los que le creyeron fueron dispersos, y reducidos á nada.

For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought.

Dopo questo scappò fuori Giuda il Galileo nel tempo della descrizione, e si tirò dietro il popolo, ed egli ancora perì: e furono dissipati tutti quanti i suoi seguaci.

Después de éste, se levantó Judas el Galileo en los días del empadronamiento, y llevó mucho pueblo tras sí. Pereció también aquél; y todos los que consintieron con él, fueron derramados.

After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.

E adesso io dico a voi, non toccate questi uomini, e lasciateli fare: conciossiachè se questo pensiero, o questa opera viene dagli uomini, sarà disfatta.

Y ahora os digo: Dejaos de estos hombres, y dejadlos; porque si este consejo ó esta obra es de los hombres, se desvanecerá:

And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:

Now I tell you, withdraw from these men and leave them alone. For if this counsel or this work is of men, it will be overthrown.

Se poi ell'è da Dio, non potrete disfarla: che non sembri che fate guerra anche a Dio. E approvarono il suo parere.

Mas si es de Dios, no la podréis deshacer; no seáis tal vez hallados resistiendo á Dios.

But if it be of God, ye can not overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

But if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow it, and you would be found even to be fighting against God!”

E chiamati gli Apostoli, battuti che gli ebbero, intimaron loro di non parlare né punto né poco nel nome di Gesù, e li rilasciarono.

Y convinieron con él: y llamando á los apóstoles, después de azotados, les intimaron que no hablasen en el nombre de Jesús, y soltáronlos.

And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

Ed essi se ne andavan contenti dal cospetto del consiglio, per essere stati fatti degni di patir contumelia pel nome di Gesù.

Y ellos partieron de delante del concilio, gozosos de que fuesen tenidos por dignos de padecer afrenta por el Nombre.

And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

E ogni di non cessavano e nel tempio, e per le case d'insegnare, e di evangelizzare Gesù Cristo. Elezione de’ sette Diaconi, crescendo di dì in d' il numero de’ fedeli. Veemenza di Stefano, e suoi miracoli. Contro di lui insorgono moltisimi Giudei, e non potendo convincerlo, procurano di opprimerlo per mezzo di falsi testimonj.

Y todos los días, en el templo y por las casas, no cesaban de enseñar y predicar á Jesucristo.

And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

Every day, in the temple and at home, they never stopped teaching and preaching Jesus, the Christ.
