Hechos 4

Mientras Pedro y Juan hablaban con la gente, los sacerdotes y el capitán del templo y los Saduceos vinieron a ellos.

Y HABLANDO ellos al pueblo, sobrevinieron los sacerdotes, y el magistrado del templo, y los Saduceos,

And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,

Ellos estaban profundamente preocupados porque Pedro y Juan estaban enseñando a la gente y proclamando en Jesús, la resurección de entre los muertos.

Resentidos de que enseñasen al pueblo, y anunciasen en Jesús la resurrección de los muertos.

Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

Ellos los arrestaron y los pusieron en la cárcel hasta la mañana siguiente, ya que era de noche.

Y les echaron mano, y los pusieron en la cárcel hasta el día siguiente; porque era ya tarde.

And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.

Pero mucha de la gente que había escuchado el mensaje creyeron; y el número de los hombres que creyeron era como cinco mil.

Sucedió al siguiente día, que sus gobernantes, ancianos y escribas se reunieron en Jerusalén.

Y aconteció al día siguiente, que se juntaron en Jerusalem los príncipes de ellos, y los ancianos, y los escribas;

And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,

In the morning, their rulers, elders, and scribes were gathered together in Jerusalem.

Anás, el sumo sacerdote estaba allí, y Caifás, y Juan, y Alejandro, y todos los que eran parientes del sumo sacerdote.

Y Anás, príncipe de los sacerdotes, y Caifás, y Juan y Alejandro, y todos los que eran del linaje sacerdotal;

And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

Cuando ellos habían puesto a Pedro y a Juan en medio de ellos, les preguntaron: "¿Con qué poder, o en qué nombre, ustedes han hecho esto?"

Y haciéndolos presentar en medio, les preguntaron: ¿Con qué potestad, ó en qué nombre, habéis hecho vosotros esto?

And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

Entonces Pedro, lleno del Espíritu Santo, les dijo: "Ustedes, gobernantes del pueblo y ancianos,

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

si nosotros este día estamos siendo interrogados acerca de la buena obra hecha a un hombre enfermo, ¿por qué medios fue este hombre sanado?

Pues que somos hoy demandados acerca del beneficio hecho á un hombre enfermo, de qué manera éste haya sido sanado,

If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

if we are examined today concerning a good deed done to a crippled man, by what means this man has been healed,

Que esto sea conocido a todos ustedes y a todo el pueblo de Israel, que en el nombre de Jesúcristo de Nazaret, a quien ustedes crucificaron, y a quien Dios levantó de los muertos, es por Él, que este hombre está aquí de pie sano delante de ustedes.

Sea notorio á todos vosotros, y á todo el pueblo de Israel, que en el nombre de Jesucristo de Nazaret, al que vosotros crucificasteis y Dios le resucitó de los muertos, por él este hombre está en vuestra presencia sano.

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

may it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, this man stands here before you whole in him.

Jesucristo es la piedra que ustedes como constructores despreciaron pero que ha sido hecha piedra angular.

Este es la piedra reprobada de vosotros los edificadores, la cual es puesta por cabeza del ángulo.

This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

He is ‘the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.’

No hay salvación en ninguna otra persona, pues no hay otro nombre bajo el cielo, que es dado entre los hombres, por el cual nosotros tenemos que ser salvos.''

Y en ningún otro hay salud; porque no hay otro nombre debajo del cielo, dado á los hombres, en que podamos ser salvos.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!”

Ahora cuando vieron la audacia de Pedro y Juan, y se dieron cuenta de que ellos eran hombres ordinarios y sin educación, ellos se sorprendieron, percatándose de que Pedro y Juan habían estado con Jesús.

Entonces viendo la constancia de Pedro y de Juan, sabido que eran hombres sin letras é ignorantes, se maravillaban; y les conocían que habían estado con Jesús.

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

Pues al ver ellos al hombre que fue curado de pie junto a ellos, ellos no tenían nada que decir contra esto.

Y viendo al hombre que había sido sanado, que estaba con ellos, no podían decir nada en contra.

And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

Pero luego de que ellos habían ordenado a los apóstoles que salieran de la reunión del concilio, ellos hablaron entre sí.

Mas les mandaron que se saliesen fuera del concilio; y conferían entre sí,

Ellos dijeron: "¿Qué le haremos a estos hombres? Porque el hecho de que un milagro admirable ha sido hecho por medio de ellos es conocido por todos los que viven en Jerusalén y no podemos negarlo.

Diciendo: ¿Qué hemos de hacer á estos hombres? porque de cierto, señal manifiesta ha sido hecha por ellos, notoria á todos los que moran en Jerusalem, y no lo podemos negar.

Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we can not deny it.

saying, “What shall we do to these men? Because indeed a notable miracle has been done through them, as can be plainly seen by all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we can’t deny it.

Pero a fin de que esto no se difunda más entre la gente, vamos a advertirles que no hablen más a nadie en este Nombre".

Todavía, porque no se divulgue más por el pueblo, amenacémoslos que no hablen de aquí adelante á hombre alguno en este nombre.

But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

Ellos llamaron a Pedro y a Juan a que entraran y les ordenaron no hablaran nada ni enseñar en el nombre de Jesús.

Y llamándolos, les intimaron que en ninguna manera hablasen ni enseñasen en el nombre de Jesús.

And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

Pero Pedro y Juan respondieron y les dijeron: "Si es correcto a la vista de Dios obedecerlos a ustedes en lugar de a Él, juzguen ustedes.

Entonces Pedro y Juan, respondiendo, les dijeron: Juzgad si es justo delante de Dios obedecer antes á vosotros que á Dios:

But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.

Porque no podemos evitar hablar acerca de las cosas que nosotros hemos visto y escuchado."

For we can not but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

Después de muchas advertencias a Pedro y Juan, ellos los dejaron ir. Ellos no fueron capaces de encontrar alguna excusa para castigarlos, porque todas las personas estaban alabando a Dios por lo que había sido hecho.

Ellos entonces los despacharon amenazándolos, no hallando ningún modo de castigarlos, por causa del pueblo; porque todos glorificaban á Dios de lo que había sido hecho.

So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.

El hombre que había experimentado el milagro de sanidad tenía más de cuarenta años.

Porque el hombre en quien había sido hecho este milagro de sanidad, era de más de cuarenta años.

For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.

Después que ellos fueron liberados, Pedro y Juan vinieron a su propia gente y informaron todo lo que los principales sacerdotes y los ancianos les habían dicho.

Y sueltos, vinieron á los suyos, y contaron todo lo que los príncipes de los sacerdotes y los ancianos les habían dicho.

And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.

Cuando ellos lo escucharon, alzaron juntos sus voces a Dios y dijeron: "Señor, Tú que HICISTE LOS CIELOS Y LA TIERRA Y EL MAR, Y TODO LO QUE ESTA EN ELLOS,

Tú que por el Espíritu Santo, por la boca de nuestro padre David Tu siervo, dijiste: '¿POR QUÉ LAS NACIONES GENTILES SE ENFURECEN, Y LOS PUEBLOS IMAGINAN COSAS VANAS?

Que por boca de David, tu siervo, dijiste: ¿Por qué han bramado las gentes, y los pueblos han pensado cosas vanas?

Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?

who by the mouth of your servant David, said, ‘Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot a vain thing?

LOS REYES DE LA TIERRA SE AGRUPARON, Y LOS GOBERNANTES SE REUNIERON EN CONTRA DEL SEÑOR, Y EN CONTRA DE SU CRISTO.'

Asistieron los reyes de la tierra, y los príncipes se juntaron en uno contra el Señor, y contra su Cristo.

The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers plot together, against the Lord, and against his Christ.’

En efecto, ambos, Herodes y Poncio Pilato, junto a los Gentiles y el pueblo de Israel, se reunieron en esta ciudad en contra de Tu santo Siervo, Jesús, a quien Tú ungiste.

Porque verdaderamente se juntaron en esta ciudad contra tu santo Hijo Jesús, al cual ungiste, Herodes y Poncio Pilato, con los Gentiles y los pueblos de Israel,

For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

“For truly, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed,

Ellos se reunieron para hacer todo lo que Tu mano y Tu deseo decidieron de antemano que pasaría.

Para hacer lo que tu mano y tu consejo habían antes determinado que había de ser hecho.

For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

to do whatever your hand and your counsel foreordained to happen.

Ahora, Señor, considera sus advertencias y permítele a tus siervos hablar Tu palabra con toda valentía.

Y ahora, Señor, mira sus amenazas, y da á tus siervos que con toda confianza hablen tu palabra;

And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

Now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness,

Así que mientras Tú extiendes Tu mano para sanar, señales y maravillas podrán suceder por medio del nombre de tu Santo Siervo Jesús."

Que extiendas tu mano á que sanidades, y milagros, y prodigios sean hechos por el nombre de tu santo Hijo Jesús.

By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

Cuando ellos terminaron de orar, el lugar donde ellos estaban reunidos fue sacudido, y todos ellos fueron llenos con el Espíritu Santo, y ellos hablaron la palabra de Dios con valentía.

Y como hubieron orado, el lugar en que estaban congregados tembló; y todos fueron llenos del Espíritu Santo, y hablaron la palabra de Dios con confianza.

El gran número de aquellos que creyeron eran de un corazón y alma, y ni siquiera uno de ellos dijo que cualquier cosa que él poseía era realmente suyo; en efecto, ellos tenían todas las cosas en común.

Y la multitud de los que habían creído era de un corazón y un alma: y ninguno decía ser suyo algo de lo que poseía; mas todas las cosas les eran comunes.

And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

The multitude of those who believed were of one heart and soul. Not one of them claimed that anything of the things which he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.

Con gran poder los apóstoles proclamaban su testimonio acerca de la resurección del Señor Jesús, y gran gracia estaba sobre todos ellos.

Y los apóstoles daban testimonio de la resurrección del Señor Jesús con gran esfuerzo; y gran gracia era en todos ellos.

And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

No había ninguna persona entre ellos a quien le faltara algo, porque todo aquel que poseía títulos de propiedad de tierras o casas los vendía y traía el dinero de las cosas que eran vendidas y

Que ningún necesitado había entre ellos: porque todos los que poseían heredades ó casas, vendiéndolas, traían el precio de lo vendido,

Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

lo ponían a los pies de los apóstoles. Y la distribución se hacía a cada creyente, de acuerdo a las necesidades de cada uno.

José, un Levita, un hombre de Chipre, le fue dado el nombre de Bernabé por los apóstoles (eso es, siendo interpretado, hijo de consolación).

And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,

Teniendo un terreno, él lo vendió y trajo el dinero y lo puso a los pies de los apóstoles.

Como tuviese una heredad, la vendió, y trajo el precio, y púsolo á los pies de los apóstoles.
