Sul finire de' giorni della Pentecoste stavano tutti insieme nel medesimo luogo:

Y COMO se cumplieron los días de Pentecostés, estaban todos unánimes juntos;

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

E venne di repente dal cielo un suono, come se levato si fosse un vento gagliardo, e riempie tutta la casa, dove abitavano.

Y de repente vino un estruendo del cielo como de un viento recio que corría, el cual hinchió toda la casa donde estaban sentados;

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

E apparvero ad essi delle lingue bipartite come di fuoco, e si posò sopra ciascheduno di loro.

Y se les aparecieron lenguas repartidas, como de fuego, que se asentó sobre cada uno de ellos.

And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

E furon tutti ripieni di Spirito santo, e principiarono a parlare varj linguaggi, secondo che lo Spirito santo dava ad essi di favellare.

Y fueron todos llenos del Espíritu Santo, y comenzaron á hablar en otras lenguas, como el Espíritu les daba que hablasen.

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Or abitavano in Gerusalemme degli Ebrei, uomini religiosi, di tutte le nazioni, che sono sotto del cielo.

And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

E divolgatasi una tal voce, si raunò molta gente, e rimase attonita, perché ciascheduno gli udiva parlare nella sua propria lingua.

Y hecho este estruendo, juntóse la multitud; y estaban confusos, porque cada uno les oía hablar su propia lengua.

Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

When this sound was heard, the multitude came together and were bewildered, because everyone heard them speaking in his own language.

E si stupivano tutti, e facevan le meraviglie, dicendo: Non son eglino costoro, che parlano, Galilei tutti quanti?

Y estaban atónitos y maravillados, diciendo: He aquí ¿no son Galileos todos estos que hablan?

And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilæans?

E come mai abbiamo udito ciascheduno di noi il nostro linguaggio, nel qual siamo nati?

¿Cómo, pues, les oímos nosotros hablar cada uno en nuestra lengua en que somos nacidos?

And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

Parti, e Medi, ed Elamiti, e abitatori della Mesopotamia, della Giudea, e della Cappadocia, del Ponto, e dell'Asia,

Tanto Giudei, come Proseliti, Cretensi ed Arabi abbiamo udito costoro discorrere nelle nostre lingue delle grandezze di Dio.

Cretenses y Arabes, les oímos hablar en nuestras lenguas las maravillas de Dios.

Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

Cretans and Arabians—we hear them speaking in our languages the mighty works of God!”

E tutti si stupivano, ed eran pieni di meraviglia dicendo l'uno all'altro: Che sarà mai questo?

Y estaban todos atónitos y perplejos, diciendo los unos á los otros: ¿Qué quiere ser esto?

And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?

They were all amazed and were perplexed, saying to one another, “What does this mean?”

Altri poi facendosi beffe dicevano: Sono pieni di vino dolce.

Mas otros burlándose, decían: Que están llenos de mosto.

Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

Others, mocking, said, “They are filled with new wine.”

Ma levatosi su Pietro con gli undici alzò la voce, e disse loro: Uomini Giudei, e voi tutti, che abitate Gerusalemme, sia noto a voi questo, e aprite le orecchie alle mie parole.

Entonces Pedro, poniéndose en pie con los once, alzó su voz, y hablóles diciendo: Varones Judíos, y todos los que habitáis en Jerusalem, esto os sea notorio, y oid mis palabras.

But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judæa, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

Imperocché nun sono costoro, come voi vi pensate, ubbriachi, mentre è la terza ora del dì:

For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

Ma questo è quello, che fu detto dal profeta Gioele:

Avverrà negli ultimi giorni (dice il Signore) che io spanderò il mio spirito sopra tutti gli uomini: e profeteranno i vostri figliuoli, e le vostre figliuole: e la vostra gioventù vedra delle visioni, e i vostri vecchi sogneranno de' sogni.

Y será en los postreros días, dice Dios, derramaré de mi Espíritu sobre toda carne, y vuestros hijos y vuestras hijas profetizarán; y vuestros mancebos verán visiones, y vuestros viejos soñarán sueños:

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

‘It will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions. Your old men will dream dreams.

E sopra i miei servi, e sopra le mie serve spanderò in que' giorni il mio spirito, e profeteranno:

Y de cierto sobre mis siervos y sobre mis siervas en aquellos días derramaré de mi Espíritu, y profetizarán.

And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

Yes, and on my servants and on my handmaidens in those days, I will pour out my Spirit, and they will prophesy.

E farò de' prodigj su in cielo, e de' segni giù nella terra, sangue, e fuoco, e vapore di fumo.

Y daré prodigios arriba en el cielo, y señales abajo en la tierra, sangre y fuego y vapor de humo:

And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

I will show wonders in the sky above, and signs on the earth beneath: blood, and fire, and billows of smoke.

Il sole si cangerà in tenebre, e la luna in sangue, prima che giunga il giorno grande, e illustre del Signore.

El sol se volverá en tinieblas, y la luna en sangre, antes que venga el día del Señor, grande y manifiesto;

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and glorious day of the Lord comes.

E avverrà, che chiunque avrà invocato il nome del Signore, sarà salvo.

Y será que todo aquel que invocare el nombre del Señor, será salvo.

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

It will be that whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.’

Uomini Israeliti, udite queste parole: Gesù Nazareno, uomo, cui Dio ha renduto irrefragabile testimonianza tra di voi per mezzo delle opere grandi, e de' prodigj, e de' miracoli, i quali per mezzo di lui fece Dio su gli occhi vostri, come voi stessi sapete:

Varones Israelitas, oid estas palabras: Jesús Nazareno, varón aprobado de Dios entre vosotros en maravillas y prodigios y señales, que Dios hizo por él en medio de vosotros, como también vosotros sabéis;

Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

“Men of Israel, hear these words! Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved by God to you by mighty works and wonders and signs which God did by him among you, even as you yourselves know,

Questi per determinato consiglio, e prescienza di Dio essendo stato tradito, voi trafiggendolo per le mani degli empj lo uccideste:

A éste, entregado por determinado consejo y providencia de Dios, prendisteis y matasteis por manos de los inicuos, crucificándole;

Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

him, being delivered up by the determined counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by the hand of lawless men, crucified and killed;

Cui Dio risuscitò, sciolto avendolo dai dolori dell'inferno, siccome era impossibile, che da questo fosse egli ritenuto.

Al cual Dios levantó, sueltos los dolores de la muerte, por cuanto era imposible ser detenido de ella.

Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

Imperocché di lui dice Davidde: Io antivedeva sempre il Signore dinanzi a me: perché egli sta alla mia destra, affinchè io non sia commosso:

Porque David dice de él: Veía al Señor siempre delante de mí: porque está á mi diestra, no seré conmovido.

For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

For David says concerning him, ‘I saw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved.

Per questo rallegrossi il mio cuore, ed esultò la mia lingua, e di più la mia carne riposerà sulla speranza,

Por lo cual mi corazón se alegró, y gozóse mi lengua; y aun mi carne descansará en esperanza;

Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:

Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced. Moreover my flesh also will dwell in hope,

Che tu non abbandonerai l'anima mia nell'inferno, né permetterai, che il tuo Santo vegga la corruzione.

Que no dejarás mi alma en el infierno, ni darás á tu Santo que vea corrupción.

Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

because you will not leave my soul in Hades, neither will you allow your Holy One to see decay.

Mi insegnanti le vie della via: e mi ricolmerai di allegrezza colla tua presenza.

Hicísteme notorios los caminos de la vida; me henchirás de gozo con tu presencia.

Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

You made known to me the ways of life. You will make me full of gladness with your presence.’

Fratelli, sia lecito di dire liberamente con voi del patriarca Davidde, che egli morì, e fu sepolto: e il suo sepolcro e presso di noi sino al dì d'oggi.

Varones hermanos, se os puede libremente decir del patriarca David, que murió, y fué sepultado, y su sepulcro está con nosotros hasta del día de hoy.

Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

“Brothers, I may tell you freely of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.

Essendo egli adunque profeta, e sapendo, che Dio promesso avevagli con giuramento, che uno della sua stirpe doveva sedere sopra il suo trono,

Empero siendo profeta, y sabiendo que con juramento le había Dios jurado que del fruto de su lomo, cuanto á la carne, levantaría al Cristo que se sentaría sobre su trono;

Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

Profeticamente disse della risurrezione del Cristo, che egli non fa abbandonato nell'inferno, né la carne di lui vide la corruzione.

Viéndolo antes, habló de la resurrección de Cristo, que su alma no fué dejada en el infierno, ni su carne vió corrupción.

He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

he foreseeing this, spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that his soul wasn’t left in Hades, and his flesh didn’t see decay.

Questo Gesù lo risuscitò Iddio, della qual cosa siamo testimoni tutti noi.

A este Jesús resucitó Dios, de lo cual todos nosotros somos testigos.

This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

This Jesus God raised up, to which we all are witnesses.

Esaltato egli adunque alla destra di Dio, e ricevuta dal Padre la promessa dello Spirito santo, lo ha diffuso, quale voi lo vedete, e lo udite.

Así que, levantado por la diestra de Dios, y recibiendo del Padre la promesa del Espíritu Santo, ha derramado esto que vosotros veis y oís.

Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

Being therefore exalted by the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this which you now see and hear.

Imperocché non salì Davidde al cielo: eppure egli disse: Ha detto il Signore al mio Signore, siedi alla mia destra,

Porque David no subió á los cielos; empero él dice: Dijo el Señor á mi Señor: Siéntate á mi diestra,

For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

For David didn’t ascend into the heavens, but he says himself, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit by my right hand

Sino a tanto che io ponga i tuoi nemici sgabello a' tuoi piedi.

Hasta que ponga á tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies.

Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”’

Sappia adunque indubitamente tutta la casa d'Israele, che Dio ha constituito Signore, e Cristo questo Gesù, il quale voi avete crocifisso.

Sepa pues ciertísimamente toda la casa de Israel, que á éste Jesús que vosotros crucificasteis, Dios ha hecho Señor y Cristo.

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

“Let all the house of Israel therefore know certainly that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”

Udite queste cose, si compunser di cuore e dissero a Pietro, e agli altri Apostoli: Fratelli, che dobbiam noi fare?

Entonces oído esto, fueron compungidos de corazón, y dijeron á Pedro y á los otros apóstoles: Varones hermanos, ¿qué haremos?

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”

E Pietro disse loro: Fate penitenza, e si battezzi ciascheduno di voi nel nome di Gesù Cristo per la remissione de' vostri peccati: e riceverete il dono dello Spirito santo.

Y Pedro les dice: Arrepentíos, y bautícese cada uno de vosotros en el nombre de Jesucristo para perdón de los pecados; y recibiréis el don del Espíritu Santo.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Imperocché per voi sta la promessa, e pe' vostri figliuoli, e per tutti i lontani, quantunque ne chiamerà il Signore Dio nostro.

Porque para vosotros es la promesa, y para vuestros hijos, y para todos los que están lejos; para cuantos el Señor nuestro Dios llamare.

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are far off, even as many as the Lord our God will call to himself.”

E con altre moltissime parole gli persuadeva, e gli ammoniva, dicendo: Salvatevi da questa perversa generazione.

Y con otras muchas palabras testificaba y exhortaba, diciendo: Sed salvos de esta perversa generación.

And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

With many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation!”

Quegli adunque, che ricevettero la parola di lui, furon battezzati, e si aggiunsero in quel giorno circa tremila anime.

Así que, los que recibieron su palabra, fueron bautizados: y fueron añadidas á ellos aquel día como tres mil personas.

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Ed erano assidui alle istruzioni degli Apostoli, e alla comune frazione del pane, e nella orazione.

Y perseveraban en la doctrina de los apóstoles, y en la comunión, y en el partimiento del pan, y en las oraciones.

And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

E tutta la gente era in apprensioni: e molti, segni, e miracoli si facevano dagli Apostoli in Gerusalemme, e tutti stavano in gran timore.

Y toda persona tenía temor: y muchas maravillas y señales eran hechas por los apóstoles.

And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

E tutti i credenti erano uniti, e avevan tutto comune.

E vendevano le possessioni, e i beni, e distribuivan il prezzo a tutti secondo il bisogno di ciascheduno.

And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

E ogni giorno trattenendosi lungamente tutti d'accordo nel tempio, e spezzando il pane per le case prendevan cibo con gaudio, e semplicità di cuore,

Y perseverando unánimes cada día en el templo, y partiendo el pan en las casas, comían juntos con alegría y con sencillez de corazón,

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

Day by day, continuing steadfastly with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at home, they took their food with gladness and singleness of heart,

Lodando Dio, ed essendo ben veduti da tutto il popolo. Il Signore poi aggiungeva alla stessa società ogni giorno gente, che si salvasse. Pietro con Giovanni risana un zoppo dall'utero della madre; e dichiara, che ciò essi han fatto in virtù della fede nel nome di Cristo. Dimostra, che questi è il Messia promesso da Mosè, e da’ profeti, e fino ad Abramo.

Alabando á Dios, y teniendo gracia con todo el pueblo. Y el Señor añadía cada día á la iglesia los que habían de ser salvos.

Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
