ENTONCES Agripa dijo á Pablo: Se te permite hablar por ti mismo. Pablo entonces, extendiendo la mano, comenzó á responder por sí, diciendo:
Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:
Agrippa said to Paul, “You may speak for yourself.” Then Paul stretched out his hand, and made his defense.
"Yo me considero a mí mismo felíz, Rey Agripa, de defender mi caso hoy ante usted contra todas las acusacionces de los Judíos;
Acerca de todas las cosas de que soy acusado por los Judíos, oh rey Agripa, me tengo por dichoso de que haya hoy de defenderme delante de ti;
I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:
“I think myself happy, King Agrippa, that I am to make my defense before you today concerning all the things that I am accused by the Jews,
especialmente, porque usted es un experto en todas las costumbres judias y enseñanzas. Así que le pido que me oiga pacientemente.
Mayormente sabiendo tú todas las costumbres y cuestiones que hay entre los Judíos: por lo cual te ruego que me oigas con paciencia.
Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.

Verdaderamente, todos los Judíos saben como yo viví desde mi juventud en mi propia nación y en Jerusalén.

My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;
“Indeed, all the Jews know my way of life from my youth up, which was from the beginning among my own nation and at Jerusalem;
Ellos me conocen desde el principio y deben de admitir que yo viví como un Fariseo, una secta bien estricta de nuestra religión.
Los cuales tienen ya conocido que yo desde el principio, si quieren testificarlo, conforme á la más rigurosa secta de nuestra religión he vivido Fariseo.
Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.

Porque esta es la promesa que nuestras doce tribus esperaban recibir mientras ellos ferviertemente adoraban a Dios noche y día. Es por esta esperanza, rey Agripa, que los Judíos me acusan.
A la cual promesa nuestras doce tribus, sirviendo constantemente de día y de noche, esperan que han de llegar. Por la cual esperanza, oh rey Agripa, soy acusado de los Judíos.
Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope’s sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.

En un tiempo yo pensé para mí mismo que debía hacer muchas cosas en contra del nombre de Jesús de Nazaret.
Yo ciertamente había pensado deber hacer muchas cosas contra el nombre de Jesús de Nazaret:
I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
“I myself most certainly thought that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
Yo hice esto en Jerusalén. Yo encerré muchos de los creyentes en la cárcel por la autoridad que recibí de los principales sacerdotes, y cuando ellos fueron asesinados, yo dí mi voto contra ellos.

At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.

Cuando todos caímos al suelo, escuché una voz hablándome que dijo en lenguaje hebreo: "Saulo, Saulo, ¿por qué me persigues? Es difícil para tí patear un aguijón.

But arise, and stand on your feet, for I have appeared to you for this purpose: to appoint you a servant and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will reveal to you;
y te rescataré de la gente y de los Gentiles a quienes te estoy enviando,
Librándote del pueblo y de los Gentiles, á los cuales ahora te envío,
Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
delivering you from the people and from the Gentiles, to whom I send you,
para abrir sus ojos y hacerlos volver de las tinieblas a la Luz y del poder de Satanás a Dios, para que reciban de Dios el perdón de sus pecados y la herencia que yo les doy a quienes son santificados por su fe en Mí.'
Para que abras sus ojos, para que se conviertan de las tinieblas á la luz, y de la potestad de Satanás á Dios; para que reciban, por la fe que es en mí, remisión de pecados y suerte entre los santificados.
To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Por lo tanto, rey Agripa, Yo no desobedecí la visión celestial;

Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
“Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision,
pero, para aquellos en Damasco primero, y luego en Jerusalén, y por toda la región de Judea, y también a los Gentiles, yo les prediqué que debían arrepentirse y convertirse a Dios, haciendo obras dignas de arrepentimiento.
Antes anuncié primeramente á los que están en Damasco, y Jerusalem, y por toda la tierra de Judea, y á los Gentiles, que se arrepintiesen y se convirtiesen á Dios, haciendo obras dignas de arrepentimiento.
But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judæa, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

Dios me ha ayudado hasta ahora, así que me paro y le testifico a la gente común y a los grandes solo lo que los profetas y Moisés dijeron que sucedería;
Mas ayudado del auxilio de Dios, persevero hasta el día de hoy, dando testimonio á pequeños y á grandes, no diciendo nada fuera de las cosas que los profetas y Moisés dijeron que habían de venir:
Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:

que el Cristo tenía que sufrir, y que Él sería el primero en levantarse en la resurección de los muertos y proclamar luz al pueblo Judío y a los Gentiles.
Que Cristo había de padecer, y ser el primero de la resurrección de los muertos, para anunciar luz al pueblo y á los Gentiles.
That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

Mientrás Pablo terminaba su defensa, Festo dijo en voz alta: "Pablo, tu estás loco; tu gran conocimiento te ha vuelto loco."
Y diciendo él estas cosas en su defensa, Festo á gran voz dijo: Estás loco, Pablo: las muchas letras te vuelven loco.
And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.
As he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, “Paul, you are crazy! Your great learning is driving you insane!”
Pero Pablo dijo: "Yo no estoy loco, su excelentísimo Festo; pero con valor yo hablo palabras de verdad y sobriedad.
Mas él dijo: No estoy loco, excelentísimo Festo, sino que hablo palabras de verdad y de templanza.
But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.
But he said, “I am not crazy, most excellent Festus, but boldly declare words of truth and reasonableness.
Pues el rey conoce acerca de estás cosas; y por eso, yo le hablo libremente, porque yo estoy persuadido que nada de esto está escondido de él; porque esto no ha sido hecho en secreto.
Pues el rey sabe estas cosas, delante del cual también hablo confiadamente. Pues no pienso que ignora nada de esto; pues no ha sido esto hecho en algún rincón.
For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.

¿Usted le cree a los profetas, rey Agripa? Yo se que usted cree."
¿Crees, rey Agripa, á los profetas? Yo sé que crees.
King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.
King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know that you believe.”
Agripa le dijo a Pablo: "¿En poco tiempo podrías persuadirme y hacerme un cristiano?"
Entonces Agripa dijo á Pablo: Por poco me persuades á ser Cristiano.
Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.
Agrippa said to Paul, “With a little persuasion are you trying to make me a Christian?”
Pablo dijo: "Yo oro a Dios, que ya sea en corto o en largo tiempo, no solo tú, sino también todos los que me oyen hoy, puedan ser como yo, pero sin estas cadenas de prisión."
Y Pablo dijo: ¡Pluguiese á Dios que por poco ó por mucho, no solamente tú, mas también todos los que hoy me oyen, fueseis hechos tales cual yo soy, excepto estas prisiones!
And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.
Paul said, “I pray to God, that whether with little or with much, not only you, but also all that hear me today, might become such as I am, except for these bonds.”
Entonces el rey se puso de pie, y también el gobernador y Berenice, y aquellos que estaban sentados con ellos;
Y como hubo dicho estas cosas, se levantó el rey, y el presidente, y Bernice, y los que se habían sentado con ellos;
And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them:
The king rose up with the governor and Bernice, and those who sat with them.
cuando dejaron el salón, ellos hablaron entre ellos y dijeron: "Este hombre no hace nada digno de muerte o de ataduras."
Y como se retiraron aparte, hablaban los unos á los otros, diciendo: Ninguna cosa digna ni de muerte, ni de prisión, hace este hombre.
And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.
When they had withdrawn, they spoke to one another, saying, “This man does nothing worthy of death or of bonds.”
Agripa dijo a Festos: "Este hombre pudiera ser liberado si él no hubiera apelado a Cesar."
Y Agripa dijo á Festo: Podía este hombre ser suelto, si no hubiera apelado á César.
Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Cæsar.
Agrippa said to Festus, “This man might have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar.”
