und baten es sich als Gnade aus, daß er ihn nach Jerusalem kommen lasse, indem sie einen Anschlag machten, ihn unterwegs zu töten.

Pidiendo gracia contra él, que le hiciese traer á Jerusalem, poniendo ellos asechanzas para matarle en el camino.

And desired favour against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem, laying wait in the way to kill him.

asking a favor against him, that he would summon him to Jerusalem, plotting to kill him on the way.
