And when he was come unto us, he took Paul’s girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.
Coming to us and taking Paul’s belt, he bound his own feet and hands, and said, “The Holy Spirit says: ‘So the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt, and will deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”
Udita la qual cosa, e noi, e quelli, che eran di quel luogo, lo pregavamo, che non andasse a Gerusalemme.

Allora rispose Paolo, e disse: Che fate voi piagnendo, e affliggendo il mio cuore? Conciossiachè io per me son pronto non solo a esser legato, ma anche a morire in Gerusalemme per il nome del Signore Gesù.
Entonces Pablo respondió: ¿Qué hacéis llorando y afligiéndome el corazón? porque yo no sólo estoy presto á ser atado, mas aun á morir en Jerusalem por el nombre del Señor Jesús.
Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

E non potendo persuaderlo, ci chetammo, dicendo: La volontà del Signore sia fatta.

Mas fueron informados acerca de ti, que enseñas á apartarse de Moisés á todos los Judíos que están entre los Gentiles, diciéndoles que no han de circuncidar á los hijos, ni andar según la costumbre.
And they are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs.

Che è adunque questo? Certamente bisogna, che si aduni la moltitudine; imperocché sapranno, che sei arrivato.
¿Qué hay pues? La multitud se reunirá de cierto: porque oirán que has venido.
What is it therefore? the multitude must needs come together: for they will hear that thou art come.
What then? The assembly must certainly meet, for they will hear that you have come.
Fa' adunque quello, che ti diciamo: noi abbiamo quattro uomini, che hanno un voto sopra di se.
Haz pues esto que te decimos: Hay entre nosotros cuatro hombres que tienen voto sobre sí:
Do therefore this that we say to thee: We have four men which have a vow on them;
Therefore do what we tell you. We have four men who have taken a vow.
Prendi teco costoro, e santificati con essi: e spendi per loro, che si radano il capo: e sappiano tutti, che di quello, che hanno udito di te, non è nulla, ma cammini tu ancora nell'osservanza della legge.
Tomando á éstos contigo, purifícate con ellos, y gasta con ellos, para que rasuren sus cabezas, y todos entiendan que no hay nada de lo que fueron informados acerca de ti; sino que tú también andas guardando la ley.
Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law.
Take them and purify yourself with them, and pay their expenses for them, that they may shave their heads. Then all will know that there is no truth in the things that they have been informed about you, but that you yourself also walk keeping the law.
Quanto poi a que' Gentili che hanno creduto, noi abbiamo scritto, determinando, che si astengano dalle cose offerte agli idoli, dal sangue, dal soffogato, e dalla fornicazione.
Empero cuanto á los que de los Gentiles han creído, nosotros hemos escrito haberse acordado que no guarden nada de esto; solamente que se abstengan de lo que fuere sacrificado á los ídolos, y de sangre, y de ahogado, y de fornicación.
As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication.
But concerning the Gentiles who believe, we have written our decision that they should observe no such thing, except that they should keep themselves from food offered to idols, from blood, from strangled things, and from sexual immorality.”
Allora Paolo, presi seco quegli uomini, il dì seguente purificato con essi entrò nel tempio, dando parte del compimento de' giorni della purificazione, sino a tanto che si offerisse per ciascheduno di essi l'obblazione.
Entonces Pablo tomó consigo aquellos hombres, y al día siguiente, habiéndose purificado con ellos, entró en el templo, para anunciar el cumplimiento de los días de la purificación, hasta ser ofrecida ofrenda por cada uno de ellos.
Then Paul took the men, and the next day purifying himself with them entered into the temple, to signify the accomplishment of the days of purification, until that an offering should be offered for every one of them.

Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that teacheth all men every where against the people, and the law, and this place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and hath polluted this holy place.

E mentre cercavan d'ucciderlo fù avvisato il tribuno della coorte, come tutta Gerusalemme era in tumulto.
Y procurando ellos matarle, fué dado aviso al tribuno de la compañía, que toda la ciudad de Jerusalem estaba alborotada;
And as they went about to kill him, tidings came unto the chief captain of the band, that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.

Il quale subito presi seco i soldati, e i centurioni, corse a coloro. I quali visto il tribuno, e i soldati, si ristettero dal batter Paolo.
El cual tomando luego soldados y centuriones, corrió á ellos. Y ellos como vieron al tribuno y á los soldados, cesaron de herir á Pablo.

Della turba chi gridava una cosa, e chi un'altra. E non potendo sapere il certo per causa del tumulto, ordinò, che fosse condotto agli alloggiamenti.

E quando e' fu arrivato ai gradini, convenne, che fosse portato da' soldati a cagione della violenza del popolo.

And when he came upon the stairs, so it was, that he was borne of the soldiers for the violence of the people.

Y como comenzaron á meter á Pablo en la fortaleza, dice al tribuno: ¿Me será lícito hablarte algo? Y él dijo: ¿Sabes griego?
And as Paul was to be led into the castle, he said unto the chief captain, May I speak unto thee? Who said, Canst thou speak Greek?
As Paul was about to be brought into the barracks, he asked the commanding officer, “May I speak to you?” He said, “Do you know Greek?
Non se'tu quell'Egiziano, il quale ne' di passati movesti sedizione, e conducesti al deserto quattromila sicarj?
¿No eres tú aquel Egipcio que levantaste una sedición antes de estos días, y sacaste al desierto cuatro mil hombres salteadores?
Art not thou that Egyptian, which before these days madest an uproar, and leddest out into the wilderness four thousand men that were murderers?
Aren’t you then the Egyptian who before these days stirred up to sedition and led out into the wilderness the four thousand men of the Assassins?”
E Paolo dissegli: Io sono certamente uomo Giudeo, cittadino di Tarso nella Cilicia, città non ignota. Ma pregoti, permettimi di parlare al popolo.
Entonces dijo Pablo: Yo de cierto soy hombre Judío, ciudadano de Tarso, ciudad no obscura de Cilicia: empero ruégote que me permitas que hable al pueblo.
But Paul said, I am a man which am a Jew of Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people.
But Paul said, “I am a Jew from Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no insignificant city. I beg you, allow me to speak to the people.”
E avendoglielo quegli permesso, Paolo stando in piedi su la scalinata, fece cenno con mano al popolo, e fattosi un gran silenzio, parlò loro in lingua Ebrea, dicendo; Paolo per sua difesa racconta per ordine la sua conversione. Gli Ebrei gridano che dee togliersi dal mondo, perchè dice di essere stato mandato da Dio a predicare alle genti. Avendo il tribuno dato ordine, ch'ei fosse flagellato, e messo alla tortura, Paolo si libera col dire, ch'egli è cittadino Romano.
Y como él se lo permitió, Pablo, estando en pie en las gradas, hizo señal con la mano al pueblo. Y hecho grande silencio, habló en lengua hebrea, diciendo:
