Hechos 13

Ahora en la iglesia de Antioquía, había algunos profetas y maestros. Ellos eran Bernabé, Simón (llamado el Negro), Lucio de Cirene, Manaén (hermano adoptivo de Herodes el tetrarca), y Saulo.

HABÍA entonces en la iglesia que estaba en Antioquía, profetas y doctores: Bernabé, y Simón el que se llamaba Niger, y Lucio Cireneo, y Manahén, que había sido criado con Herodes el tetrarca, y Saulo.

Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

Now in the assembly that was at Antioch there were some prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen the foster brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

Mientras ellos estaban adorando al Señor y ayunando, el Espíritu Santo dijo: "Apártenme a Bernabé y Saulo, para que hagan el trabajo para el cual Yo los llamé."

Ministrando pues éstos al Señor, y ayunando, dijo el Espíritu Santo: Apartadme á Bernabé y á Saulo para la obra para la cual los he llamado.

As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

As they served the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Separate Barnabas and Saul for me, for the work to which I have called them.”

Después que ellos habían ayunado, orado, e impuesto las manos sobre estos hombres, los enviaron.

And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

Entonces Bernabé y Saulo obedecieron al Espíritu Santo y descendieron a Seleucia; desde donde ellos embarcaron a la isla de Chipre.

So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.

Cuando ellos estaban en la ciudad de Salamina, proclamaron la palabra de Dios en las sinagogas de los Judíos. Ellos también tenían a Juan Marcos como su asistente.

Y llegados á Salamina, anunciaban la palabra de Dios en las sinagogas de los Judíos: y tenían también á Juan en el ministerio.

And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister.

When they were at Salamis, they proclaimed God’s word in the Jewish synagogues. They also had John as their attendant.

Cuando ellos habían ido a través de toda la isla hasta Pafos, encontraron a cierto mago, un falso profeta Judío, cuyo nombre era Barjesús.

Y habiendo atravesado toda la isla hasta Papho, hallaron un hombre mago, falso profeta, Judío, llamado Barjesús;

And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar-jesus:

Este mago asosciado con el procónsul, Sergio Paulo, quien era un hombre inteligente. Este hombre hizo venir a Bernabé y Saulo, porque él quería oír la palabra de Dios.

El cual estaba con el procónsul Sergio Paulo, varón prudente. Este, llamando á Bernabé y á Saulo, deseaba oir la palabra de Dios.

Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.

who was with the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, a man of understanding. This man summoned Barnabas and Saul, and sought to hear the word of God.

Pero Elimas "el mago" (así es como su nombre es traducido) se opuso a ellos; él trató de desviar al procónsul de la fe.

Mas les resistía Elimas el encantador (que así se interpreta su nombre), procurando apartar de la fe al procónsul.

But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.

Pero Saulo, que también era llamado Pablo, lleno del Espíritu Santo; mirándolo fijamente

Entonces Saulo, que también es Pablo, lleno del Espíritu Santo, poniendo en él los ojos,

Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,

y dijo: "Tú hijo del diablo, tu estás lleno de toda clase de engaño y maldad. Tú eres un enemigo de toda clase de justicia. Tú nunca dejarás de torcer los caminos rectos del Señor, ¿lo harás tú?

Dijo: Oh, lleno de todo engaño y de toda maldad, hijo del diablo, enemigo de toda justicia, ¿no cesarás de trastornar los caminos rectos del Señor?

And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

and said, “You son of the devil, full of all deceit and all cunning, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

Ahora mira, la mano del Señor está sobre tí, y te quedarás ciego. Tú no verás el sol por un tiempo." Inmediatamente cayó sobre Elimas una niebla y oscuridad; él comenzó a dar vueltas pidiéndole a la gente que lo guiaran por la mano.

Ahora pues, he aquí la mano del Señor es contra ti, y serás ciego, que no veas el sol por tiempo. Y luego cayeron en él obscuridad y tinieblas; y andando alrededor, buscaba quién le condujese por la mano.

And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.

Now, behold, the hand of the Lord is on you, and you will be blind, not seeing the sun for a season!” Immediately a mist and darkness fell on him. He went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand.

Después que el procónsul vio lo que había sucedido, él creyó, porque él estaba atónito de las enseñanzas acerca del Señor.

Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.

Ahora Pablo y sus amigos se embarcaron desde Pafos y llegaron a Perge en Panfilia. Pero Juan los dejó y regresó a Jerusalén.

Y partidos de Papho, Pablo y sus compañeros arribaron á Perge de Pamphylia: entonces Juan, apartándose de ellos, se volvió á Jerusalem.

Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.

Pablo y sus amigos viajaron desde Perge y vinieron a Antioquía de Pisidia. Allí ellos fueron a la sinagoga en el día del Sábado y se sentaron.

Y ellos pasando de Perge, llegaron á Antioquía de Pisidia, y entrando en la sinagoga un día de sábado, sentáronse.

But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.

Después de la lectura de la Ley y de los profetas, los líderes de las sinagogas les enviaron un mensaje diciéndole: "Hermanos, si ustedes tienen algún mensaje de exhortación para la gente aquí, díganlo."

Y después de la lectura de la ley y de los profetas, los príncipes de la sinagoga enviaron á ellos, diciendo: Varones hermanos, si tenéis alguna palabra de exhortación para el pueblo, hablad.

And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.

Entonces Pablo estando de pie y moviendo sus manos; dijo: "Hombres de Israel y ustedes que honran a Dios, escuchen.

Entonces Pablo, levantándose, hecha señal de silencio con la mano, dice: Varones Israelitas, y los que teméis á Dios, oid:

Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear God, give audience.

El Dios de este pueblo de Israel escogió nuestros antepasados e hizo un pueblo numeroso cuando ellos estaban en la tierra de Egipto, y con brazo levantado él los dirijió fuera de allí.

El Dios del pueblo de Israel escogió á nuestros padres, y ensalzó al pueblo, siendo ellos extranjeros en la tierra de Egipto, y con brazo levantado los sacó de ella.

The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought he them out of it.

Por cerca de cuarenta años él los soportó en el desierto.

Y por tiempo como de cuarenta años soportó sus costumbres en el desierto;

And about the time of forty years suffered he their manners in the wilderness.

Después que él destruuyó siete naciones en la tierra de Canaán, Él le dio a nuestro pueblo la tierra por herencia.

And when he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Chanaan, he divided their land to them by lot.

Todos estos eventos tuvieron lugar por cerca de cuatrocientos cincuenta años. Después de todas estas cosas, Dios les dio jueces hasta Samuel el profeta.

Y después, como por cuatrocientos y cincuenta años, dióles jueces hasta el profeta Samuel.

And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.

Entonces, el pueblo pidió rey, y Dios les dio a Saulo el hijo de Cis, un hombre de la tribu de Benjamín, para ser rey por cuarenta años.

And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.

Después que Dios lo removió del reinado, Él levantó a David para ser su rey. Fue acerca de David que Dios dijo: 'Yo he encontrado que David el hijo de Jesé es un hombre conforme a mi corazón; que hará todo lo que Yo quiero que haga.'

Y quitado aquél, levantóles por rey á David, al que dió también testimonio, diciendo: He hallado á David, hijo de Jessé, varón conforme á mi corazón, el cual hará todo lo que yo quiero.

And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

When he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king, to whom he also testified, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my heart, who will do all my will.’

De los descendientes de este hombre Dios trajo a Israel un Salvador, Jesús, como él lo prometió hacer.

De la simiente de éste, Dios, conforme á la promesa, levantó á Jesús por Salvador á Israel;

Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:

From this man’s offspring, God has brought salvation to Israel according to his promise,

Esto comenzó a suceder cuando, antes de que Jesús viniera, Juan primero anunció el bautismo de arrepentimiento a todo el pueblo de Israel.

Predicando Juan delante de la faz de su venida el bautismo de arrepentimiento á todo el pueblo de Israel.

When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.

Mientras Juan estaba terminando su trabajo, él dijo: '¿Quién piensan ustedes que soy? Yo no soy el Escogido. Pero escuchen, viene uno después de mí, a quien yo no soy digno de desatarle los zapatos de sus pies.'

Mas como Juan cumpliese su carrera, dijo: ¿Quién pensáis que soy? No soy yo él; mas he aquí, viene tras mí uno, cuyo calzado de los pies no soy digno de desatar.

And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.

As John was fulfilling his course, he said, ‘What do you suppose that I am? I am not he. But behold, one comes after me, the sandals of whose feet I am not worthy to untie.’

Hermanos, hijos de la línea de Abraham, y aquellos entre ustedes que adoran a Dios, es para nosotros que el mensaje de esta salvación ha sido enviado.

Varones hermanos, hijos del linaje de Abraham, y los que entre vosotros temen á Dios, á vosotros es enviada la palabra de esta salud.

Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.

“Brothers, children of the stock of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, the word of this salvation is sent out to you.

Porque para ellos, que viven en Jerusalén, y para sus gobernantes que no le reconocen, ellos cumplieron las palabras de los profetas que se leen todos los Sábados al condenarlo.

Porque los que habitaban en Jerusalem, y sus príncipes, no conociendo á éste, y las voces de los profetas que se leen todos los sábados, condenándole, las cumplieron.

For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.

For those who dwell in Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they didn’t know him, nor the voices of the prophets which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled them by condemning him.

Aún cuando ellos no encontraron una buena causa para matarlo, pidieron a Pilato que Lo matara.

Y sin hallar en él causa de muerte, pidieron á Pilato que le matasen.

And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.

Though they found no cause for death, they still asked Pilate to have him killed.

Cuando ellos completaron todas las cosas que estaban escritas acerca de Él, Lo bajaron del madero y Lo pusieron en un sepulcro.

Y habiendo cumplido todas las cosas que de él estaban escritas, quitándolo del madero, lo pusieron en el sepulcro.

And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.

Pero Dios Lo levantó de los muertos.

Él fue visto por muchos días por aquellos que habían venido con Él de Galilea a Jerusalén. Ahora estas personas son Sus testigos para el pueblo.

Y él fué visto por muchos días de los que habían subido juntamente con él de Galilea á Jerusalem, los cuales son sus testigos al pueblo.

And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.

and he was seen for many days by those who came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses to the people.

Así que nosotros les estamos trayendo a ustedes las buenas nuevas acerca de las promesas hechas a nuestros antepasados.

Y nosotros también os anunciamos el evangelio de aquella promesa que fué hecha á los padres,

And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,

We bring you good news of the promise made to the fathers,

Dios las ha mantenido estas promesas para nosotros, sus hijos, en que Él levantó a Jesús de vuelta a la vida. Esto también está escrito en el segundo Salmo: "TÚ ERES MI HIJO, HOY YO HE VENIDO A SER TU PADRE."

La cual Dios ha cumplido á los hijos de ellos, á nosotros, resucitando á Jesús: como también en el salmo segundo está escrito: Mi hijo eres tú, yo te he engendrado hoy.

God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

that God has fulfilled this to us, their children, in that he raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second psalm, ‘You are my Son. Today I have become your father.’

Tambien acerca del hecho que Él lo levantó de los muertos para que su cuerpo no vuelva a corrupción, Él ha hablado de esta manera: "YO LES DARÉ A USTEDES LAS SANTAS Y SEGURAS BENDICIONES DE DAVID."

Y que le levantó de los muertos para nunca más volver á corrupción, así lo dijo: Os daré las misericordias fieles de David.

And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.

“Concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he has spoken thus: ‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.’

Por esto Él también dice en otro salmo: 'TÚ NO PERMITIRÁS QUE TU SANTO VEA CORRUPCIÓN.'

Por eso dice también en otro lugar: No permitirás que tu Santo vea corrupción.

Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Therefore he says also in another psalm, ‘You will not allow your Holy One to see decay.’

Pues después que David sirvió en su propia generación los deseos de Dios, él durmió, y fue sepultado con sus padres, y vio corrupción,

Porque á la verdad David, habiendo servido en su edad á la voluntad de Dios, durmió, y fué juntado con sus padres, y vió corrupción:

For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:

For David, after he had in his own generation served the counsel of God, fell asleep, was laid with his fathers, and saw decay.

pero Él a quien Dios levantó, no vio corrupción.

Mas aquel que Dios levantó, no vió corrupción.

But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.

But he whom God raised up saw no decay.

Sea conocido a ustedes, hermanos, que a través de este Hombre se proclama a ustedes perdón de pecados.

Séaos pues notorio, varones hermanos, que por éste os es anunciada remisión de pecados;

Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

Be it known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man is proclaimed to you remission of sins;

Por Él todo el que cree es justificado de todas las cosas por las cuales la Ley de Moisés no puede justificarlos.

Y de todo lo que por la ley de Moisés no pudisteis ser justificados, en éste es justificado todo aquel que creyere.

And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

and by him everyone who believes is justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Así que tengan cuidado de que lo que los profetas hablaron no le suceda a ustedes:

Mirad, pues, que no venga sobre vosotros lo que está dicho en los profetas;

Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets;

Beware therefore, lest that come on you which is spoken in the prophets:

'MIREN, USTEDES QUE DESPRECIAN, Y SEAN ASOMBRADOS Y ENTONCES PEREZCAN; PUES YO ESTOY HACIENDO UNA OBRA EN SUS DÍAS, UNA OBRA EN LA CUAL NUNCA CREERÁN, AÚN SI ALGUIEN SE LOS ANUNCIARA.'"

Mirad, oh menospreciadores, y entonteceos, y desvaneceos; porque yo obro una obra en vuestros días, obra que no creeréis, si alguien os la contare.

Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.

‘Behold, you scoffers! Wonder and perish, for I work a work in your days, a work which you will in no way believe, if one declares it to you.’”

Mientras Pablo y Bernabé se iban, la gente les rogaba que le hablaran estas mismas palabras el próximo Sábado.

Y saliendo ellos de la sinagoga de los Judíos, los Gentiles les rogaron que el sábado siguiente les hablasen estas palabras.

And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.

So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath.

Cuando terminó la reunión en la sinagoga, muchos de los Judíos y prosélitos devotos siguieron a Pablo y Bernabé, quienes les hablaron y urgieron a continuar en la gracia de Dios.

Y despedida la congregación, muchos de los Judíos y de los religiosos prosélitos siguieron á Pablo y á Bernabé; los cuales hablándoles, les persuadían que permaneciesen en la gracia de Dios.

Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

Now when the synagogue broke up, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas; who, speaking to them, urged them to continue in the grace of God.

El próximo Sábado, casi toda la ciudad estaba reunida para escuchar la palabra del Señor.

Y el sábado siguiente se juntó casi toda la ciudad á oir la palabra de Dios.

And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

Cuando los Judíos vieron la multitud, se llenaron de celos y hablaron en contra de las cosas que fueron dichas por Pablo y lo insultaron.

Mas los Judíos, visto el gentío, llenáronse de celo, y se oponían á lo que Pablo decía, contradiciendo y blasfemando.

But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

Pero Pablo y Bernabé hablaron valientemente y dijeron: "Fue necesario que la palabra de Dios se hablara primeramente a ustedes. Viendo que ustedes la rechazaron y se consideraron ustedes mismos indignos de la vida eterna, miren, nosotros nos volveremos a los Gentiles.

Entonces Pablo y Bernabé, usando de libertad, dijeron: A vosotros á la verdad era menester que se os hablase la palabra de Dios; mas pues que la desecháis, y os juzgáis indignos de la vida eterna, he aquí, nos volvemos á los Gentiles.

Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, and said, “It was necessary that God’s word should be spoken to you first. Since indeed you thrust it from yourselves, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.

Pues así el Señor nos lo ha ordenado, diciéndo: 'Yo los he puesto como una luz para los Gentiles, que ustedes deben traer salvación a las partes más lejanas de la tierra.'"

Porque así nos ha mandado el Señor, diciendo: Te he puesto para luz de los Gentiles, para que seas salud hasta lo postrero de la tierra.

For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

For so has the Lord commanded us, saying, ‘I have set you as a light for the Gentiles, that you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.’”

Mientras los Gentiles escuchaban esto, ellos estaban alegres y alababan la palabra del Señor. Todos los que estaban señalados para la vida eterna creyeron.

Y los Gentiles oyendo esto, fueron gozosos, y glorificaban la palabra del Señor: y creyeron todos los que estaban ordenados para vida eterna.

And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

La palabra del Señor fue esparcida por toda la región.

Y la palabra del Señor era sembrada por toda aquella provincia.

And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.

The Lord’s word was spread abroad throughout all the region.

Pero los Judíos urgieron a las mujeres devotas e importantes, así como también a los hombres más prominentes de la ciudad. Éstos desataron una persecusión en contra de Pablo y Bernabé y los expulsaron más allá de la frontera de su ciudad.
