Wie aber Johannes seinen Lauf erfüllte, sprach er: was meint ihr, daß ich sei? Ich bin es nicht, sondern siehe nach mir kommt, dem ich nicht würdig bin die Sandale zu lösen.

Mas como Juan cumpliese su carrera, dijo: ¿Quién pensáis que soy? No soy yo él; mas he aquí, viene tras mí uno, cuyo calzado de los pies no soy digno de desatar.

And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.

As John was fulfilling his course, he said, ‘What do you suppose that I am? I am not he. But behold, one comes after me, the sandals of whose feet I am not worthy to untie.’
