Hechos 11

Ahora los apóstoles y los hermanos que estaban en Judea, escucharon que los gentiles también habían recibido la palabra de Dios.

Y OYERON los apóstoles y los hermanos que estaban en Judea, que también los Gentiles habían recibido la palabra de Dios.

And the apostles and brethren that were in Judæa heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.

Now the apostles and the brothers who were in Judea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.

Cuando Pedro había subido a Jerusalén, ellos que pertenecían al grupo de la circunsición lo criticaron;

Y como Pedro subió á Jerusalem, contendían contra él los que eran de la circuncisión,

And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him,

When Peter had come up to Jerusalem, those who were of the circumcision contended with him,

ellos dijeron: "¡Tú te asociaste con hombres incircuncisos y comiste con ellos!"

Diciendo: ¿Por qué has entrado á hombres incircuncisos, y has comido con ellos?

Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.

saying, “You went in to uncircumcised men and ate with them!”

Pero Pedro comenzó a explicarles el asunto en detalle; él dijo:

Entonces comenzando Pedro, les declaró por orden lo pasado, diciendo:

But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them, saying,

But Peter began, and explained to them in order, saying,

"Yo estaba orando en la ciudad de Jope y tuve una vision de un recipiente bajando, como una sábana grande siendo bajada desde el cielo por sus cuatro esquinas; ésta descendía hacia mí.

Estaba yo en la ciudad de Joppe orando, y vi en rapto de entendimiento una visión: un vaso, como un gran lienzo, que descendía, que por los cuatro cabos era abajado del cielo, y venía hasta mí.

I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:

“I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision: a certain container descending, like it was a great sheet let down from heaven by four corners. It came as far as me.

Yo observé y pensé sobre ésto; yo ví los animales de cuatro patas de la tierra, bestias salvajes, animales que se arrastran, y aves del cielo.

En el cual como puse los ojos, consideré y vi animales terrestres de cuatro pies, y fieras, y reptiles, y aves del cielo.

Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

When I had looked intently at it, I considered, and saw the four-footed animals of the earth, wild animals, creeping things, and birds of the sky.

Entonces yo escuché una voz que me dijo: "¡Levántate Pedro; mata y come!"

Y oí una voz que me decía: Levántate, Pedro, mata y come.

And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.

I also heard a voice saying to me, ‘Rise, Peter, kill and eat!’

Yo dije: "De ninguna manera, Señor: porque nada profano o inmundo ha entrado en mi boca."

Y dije: Señor, no; porque ninguna cosa común ó inmunda entró jamás en mi boca.

But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.

But I said, ‘Not so, Lord, for nothing unholy or unclean has ever entered into my mouth.’

Pero la voz respondió de nuevo desde el cielo: "Lo que Dios ha declarado limpio no llames inmundo."

Entonces la voz me respondió del cielo segunda vez: Lo que Dios limpió, no lo llames tú común.

But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

But a voice answered me the second time out of heaven, ‘What God has cleansed, don’t you call unclean.’

Esto sucedió tres veces, y entonces todo fue devuelto al cielo de nuevo.

Y esto fué hecho por tres veces: y volvió todo á ser tomado arriba en el cielo.

And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven.

Observé, en aquel momento que habían tres hombres parados al frente de la casa donde estábamos; ellos habían sido enviados a mí desde Cesarea.

Y he aquí, luego sobrevinieron tres hombres á la casa donde yo estaba, enviados á mí de Cesarea.

And, behold, immediately there were three men already come unto the house where I was, sent from Cæsarea unto me.

Behold, immediately three men stood before the house where I was, having been sent from Caesarea to me.

El Espíritu me ordenó a ir con ellos, y que no debía hacer ninguna distinción entre ellos. Estos seis hermanos fueron conmigo, y nosotros fuimos a la casa del hombre.

Y el Espíritu me dijo que fuese con ellos sin dudar. Y vinieron también conmigo estos seis hermanos, y entramos en casa de un varón,

And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man’s house:

The Spirit told me to go with them without discriminating. These six brothers also accompanied me, and we entered into the man’s house.

El nos contó como el había visto al ángel parado en su casa y diciendo: "Envía hombres a Jope y traigan de vuelta a Simón, que es llamado Pedro.

El cual nos contó cómo había visto un ángel en su casa, que se paró, y le dijo: Envía á Joppe, y haz venir á un Simón que tiene por sobrenombre Pedro;

And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;

He told us how he had seen the angel standing in his house and saying to him, ‘Send to Joppa and get Simon, who is called Peter,

Él les hablará un mensaje por el cual ustedes serán salvos, tú y toda tu casa."

El cual te hablará palabras por las cuales serás salvo tú, y toda tu casa.

Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

who will speak to you words by which you will be saved, you and all your house.’

Al comenzar a hablarles, el Espíritu Santo vino sobre ellos, tal como fue sobre nosotros al principio.

Y como comencé á hablar, cayó el Espíritu Santo sobre ellos también, como sobre nosotros al principio.

And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

Yo recordé las palabras del Señor, como Él dijo: "Juan de cierto bautizó con agua; pero ustedes serán bautizados en el Espíritu Santo."

Entonces me acordé del dicho del Señor, como dijo: Juan ciertamente bautizó en agua; mas vosotros seréis bautizados en Espíritu Santo.

Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, ‘John indeed baptized in water, but you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit.’

Entonces, si Dios les dió el mismo regalo como nos lo dió a nosotros cuando creímos en el Señor Jesucristo, ¿quién era yo, para oponerme a Dios?"

Así que, si Dios les dió el mismo don también como á nosotros que hemos creído en el Señor Jesucristo, ¿quién era yo que pudiese estorbar á Dios?

Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

If then God gave to them the same gift as us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I, that I could withstand God?”

Cuando ellos escucharon estas cosas, ellos dijeron nada en respuesta, sino que ellos adoraron a Dios y dijeron: "Entonces Dios ha dado arrepentimiento para vida a los Gentiles también."

Entonces, oídas estas cosas, callaron, y glorificaron á Dios, diciendo: De manera que también á los Gentiles ha dado Dios arrepentimiento para vida.

When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

Ahora, aquellos que habian sido dispersados por causa de la persecución que comenzó con la muerte de Esteban fueron esparcidos tan lejos como Fenicia, Chipre, y Antioquía, pero ellos hablaron el mensaje sobre Jesús solamente solo a los Judíos.

Y los que habían sido esparcidos por causa de la tribulación que sobrevino en tiempo de Esteban, anduvieron hasta Fenicia, y Cipro, y Antioquía, no hablando á nadie la palabra, sino sólo á los Judíos.

Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

They therefore who were scattered abroad by the oppression that arose about Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except to Jews only.

Pero algunos de ellos, hombres de Chipre y Cirene, llegaron a Antioquía y le hablaron también a los Griegos, contandoles a ellos las buenas nuevas sobre el Señor Jesús.

Y de ellos había unos varones Ciprios y Cirenenses, los cuales como entraron en Antioquía, hablaron á los Griegos, anunciando el evangelio del Señor Jesús.

And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.

But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they had come to Antioch, spoke to the Hellenists, preaching the Lord Jesus.

Y la mano del Señor estaba con ellos; y un gran número creyó y se convirtieron al Señor.

Y la mano del Señor era con ellos: y creyendo, gran número se convirtió al Señor.

And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.

Noticias de ellos llegaron a los oídos de la iglesia en Jerusalén: y ellos enviaron a Bernabé tan lejos como Antioquía.

Y llegó la fama de estas cosas á oídos de la iglesia que estaba en Jerusalem: y enviaron á Bernabé que fuese hasta Antioquía.

Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.

The report concerning them came to the ears of the assembly which was in Jerusalem. They sent out Barnabas to go as far as Antioch,

Cuando él llegó y vio el regalo de Dios, él se alegró; y los motivó a todos a permanecer con el Señor, con todo sus corazón.

El cual, como llegó, y vió la gracia de Dios, regocijóse; y exhortó á todos á que permaneciesen en el propósito del corazón en el Señor.

Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

Porque él era un hombre bueno y lleno del Espíritu Santo y de fe, y muchas personas fueron añadidas al Señor.

For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.

Entonces Bernabé fue a Tarso a buscar a Saulo.

Después partió Bernabé á Tarso á buscar á Saulo; y hallado, le trajo á Antioquía.

Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:

Barnabas went out to Tarsus to look for Saul.

Cuando él lo encontró, lo trajo a Antioquía. Fue cerca de un año entero ellos se reunieron juntos con la iglesia y enseñaron a muchas personas. Los discípulos fueron llamados Cristianos por primera vez en Antioquía.

Y conversaron todo un año allí con la iglesia, y enseñaron á mucha gente; y los discípulos fueron llamados Cristianos primeramente en Antioquía.

And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

When he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they were gathered together with the assembly, and taught many people. The disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.

Ahora en aquellos días algunos profetas bajaron de Jerusalén a Antioquía.

Y en aquellos días descendieron de Jerusalem profetas á Antioquía.

And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.

Now in these days, prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.

Uno de ellos, de nombre Agabo, se paró e indicó por el Espíritu Santo que una gran hambruna iba a ocurrir en todo el mundo. Esto sucedió en los días de Claudio.

Y levantándose uno de ellos, llamado Agabo, daba á entender por Espíritu, que había de haber una grande hambre en toda la tierra habitada: la cual hubo en tiempo de Claudio.

And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Cæsar.

One of them named Agabus stood up and indicated by the Spirit that there should be a great famine all over the world, which also happened in the days of Claudius.

Entonces, los discípulos, según cada uno era capaz, decidieron enviar ayuda a los hermanos en Judea.

Entonces los discípulos, cada uno conforme á lo que tenía, determinaron enviar subsidio á los hermanos que habitaban en Judea:

Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judæa:

As any of the disciples had plenty, each determined to send relief to the brothers who lived in Judea;

Ellos hicieron esto; ellos enviaron dinero a los ancianos por manos de Bernabé y Saulo.

Lo cual asimismo hicieron, enviándolo á los ancianos por mano de Bernabé y de Saulo.

Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
