Estaba yo en la ciudad de Joppe orando, y vi en rapto de entendimiento una visión: un vaso, como un gran lienzo, que descendía, que por los cuatro cabos era abajado del cielo, y venía hasta mí.
I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:

Io lo considerava guardandolo fissamente, e osservai e quadrupedi della terra, e fiere, e rettili, e uccelli dell'aria.

Come pur fecero, mandandolo a' seniori per le mani di Barnaba, e di Saulo. Erode, ucciso Giacomo, fa metter Pietro in prigione, volendo dopo la Pasqua condurlo davanti al popolo per farlo morire. Ma facendo continuamente orazione per lui la Chiesa, tratto fuora coll'aiuto di un Angelo, portò grande allegrezza a' fratelli. Messe alla tortura le guardie della prigione, Erode va a Cesarea, e mentre non rigetta gli onori divini offertigli dal popolo, è percosso da un Angelo, e mangiato da' vermi sen muore.
Lo cual asimismo hicieron, enviándolo á los ancianos por mano de Bernabé y de Saulo.
