ESTO también sepas, que en los postreros días vendrán tiempos peligrosos:

Debido a personas amantes de ellos mismos, amantes del dinero, jactanciosos, arrogantes, blasfemos, desobedientes a los padres, ingratos, impuros.
Que habrá hombres amadores de sí mismos, avaros, vanagloriosos, soberbios, detractores, desobedientes á los padres, ingratos, sin santidad,
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Ellos serán sin afecto natural, implacables, calumniadores, sin autocontrol, violentos, no amantes de la verdad.
Sin afecto, desleales, calumniadores, destemplados, crueles, aborrecedores de lo bueno,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, not lovers of good,
Ellos serán traidores, testarudos, engreídos, amantes de los placeres en vez de amantes de Dios.
Traidores, arrebatados, hinchados, amadores de los deleites más que de Dios;
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
Ellos tienen alguna forma de piedad, pero ellos negarán el poder de ésta. Aléjate de estas personas.
Teniendo apariencia de piedad, mas habiendo negado la eficacia de ella: y á éstos evita.
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Pues algunos de ellos son hombres quienes entran en las casas y cautivan a las mujeres tontas. Estas son mujeres que están abrumadas con pecados y que se dejan llevar por varios deseos.
Porque de éstos son los que se entran por las casas, y llevan cautivas las mujercillas cargadas de pecados, llevadas de diversas concupiscencias;
For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

Estas mujeres siempre tratan de aprender, pero ellas nunca serán capaces de venir al conocimiento de la verdad.
Que siempre aprenden, y nunca pueden acabar de llegar al conocimiento de la verdad.

De la misma manera que Janes y Jambre se levantaron contra Moisés. De esta manera estos falsos maestros también se levantan en contra de la verdad. Ellos son hombres con mentes destruidas y no son aprobados en relación a la fe.
Y de la manera que Jannes y Jambres resistieron á Moisés, así también éstos resisten á la verdad; hombres corruptos de entendimiento, réprobos acerca de la fe.
Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

persecuciones, sufrimientos, y lo que me pasó en Antioquía, en Iconio y en Listra. He resistido tales persecuciones. He salido de todas ellas, el Señor me rescató.

Todo aquél que quiere vivir en una manera santa en Cristo Jesús será perseguido.

Gente malvada e impostora se volverán aún peor. Ellos guían a otros a la perdición. Ellos mismos son llevados a la perdición.
Mas los malos hombres y los engañadores, irán de mal en peor, engañando y siendo engañados.
But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

Pero concerniente a ti, continúa en las cosas que haz aprendido y que firmemente has creído. Tu conoces de quien has aprendido.
Empero persiste tú en lo que has aprendido y te persuadiste, sabiendo de quién has aprendido;
But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

Tu sabes que desde tu infancia has conocido las sagradas escrituras. Estas son capaces de hacerte sabio para salvación a través de la fe que es en Cristo Jesús.
Y que desde la niñez has sabido las Sagradas Escrituras, las cuales te pueden hacer sabio para la salud por la fe que es en Cristo Jesús.
And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Esto es para que el hombre de Dios sea competente, equipado para toda buena obra.
