1Au reste, frères, priez pour nous, afin que la parole du Seigneur poursuive sa course et soit en honneur, comme elle l`est chez vous,
2afin que nous soyons délivrés des hommes fâcheux et pervers; car la foi n`est pas le partage de tous.
3Mais le Seigneur est fidèle, il vous affermira et vous préservera du mal.
4Nous avons en vous cette confiance dans le Seigneur, que vous faites et que vous ferez ce que nous vous prescrivons.
5Que le Seigneur dirige vos cœurs dans l`amour de Dieu et la patience du Christ !
6Nous vous enjoignons, frères, au nom de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ, de vous séparer de tout frère qui vit d`une façon déréglée, et non selon les instructions reçues de nous.
7Vous savez vous-mêmes ce que vous devez faire pour nous imiter; car nous n`avons rien eu de déréglé parmi vous.
8Nous n`avons mangé gratuitement le pain de personne; mais nous avons été nuit et jour à l`œuvre, dans la fatigue et la peine, pour n`être à charge à aucun de vous.
9Ce n`est pas que nous n`en eussions le droit; mais nous voulions vous donner en nous-mêmes un exemple à imiter.
10Aussi bien, lorsque nous étions chez vous, nous vous déclarions que si quelqu`un ne veut pas travailler, il ne doit pas manger non plus.
11Cependant nous apprenons qu`il y a parmi vous des gens déréglés, qui ne travaillent pas, mais qui ne s`occupent que de choses vaines.
12Nous les invitons et nous les exhortons par le Seigneur Jésus-Christ, de travailler paisiblement pour manger un pain qui leur appartienne.
13Pour vous, frères, ne vous lassez pas de faire le bien.
14Et si quelqu`un n`obéit pas à l`ordre donnée par cette lettre, notez-le, et, pour le confondre, ne le fréquentez plus.
15Ne le considérez pourtant pas comme un ennemi, mais avertissez-le comme un frère.
16Que le Seigneur de la paix vous donne lui-même la paix en tout temps, de toute manière ! Que le Seigneur soit avec tous !
17La salutation est de ma propre main, à moi Paul; c`est là ma signature dans toutes les lettres : c`est ainsi que j`écris.
18Que la grâce de Notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ soit avec vous tous !

1RESTA, hermanos, que oréis por nosotros, que la palabra del Señor corra y sea glorificada así como entre vosotros:
2Y que seamos librados de hombres importunos y malos; porque no es de todos la fe.
3Mas fiel es el Señor, que os confirmará y guardará del mal.
4Y tenemos confianza de vosotros en el Señor, que hacéis y haréis lo que os hemos mandado.
5Y el Señor enderece vuestros corazones en el amor de Dios, y en la paciencia de Cristo.
6Empero os denunciamos, hermanos, en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que os apartéis de todo hermano que anduviere fuera de orden, y no conforme á la doctrina que recibieron de nosotros:
7Porque vosotros mismos sabéis de qué manera debéis imitarnos: porque no anduvimos desordenadamente entre vosotros,
8Ni comimos el pan de ninguno de balde; antes, obrando con trabajo y fatiga de noche y de día, por no ser gravosos á ninguno de vosotros;
9No porque no tuviésemos potestad, sino por daros en nosotros un dechado, para que nos imitaseis.
10Porque aun estando con vosotros, os denunciábamos esto: Que si alguno no quisiere trabajar, tampoco coma.
11Porque oímos que andan algunos entre vosotros fuera de orden, no trabajando en nada, sino ocupados en curiosear.
12Y á los tales requerimos y rogamos por nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que, trabajando con reposo, coman su pan.
13Y vosotros, hermanos, no os canséis de hacer bien.
14Y si alguno no obedeciere á nuestra palabra por carta, notad al tal, y no os juntéis con él, para que se avergüence.
15Mas no lo tengáis como á enemigo, sino amonestadle como á hermano.
16Y el mismo Señor de paz os dé siempre paz en toda manera. El Señor sea con todos vosotros.
17Salud de mi mano, Pablo, que es mi signo en toda carta mía: así escribo.
18La gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo sea con todos vosotros. Amén. La segunda Epístola á los Tesalonicenses fué escrita de Atenas.

1Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
2And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
3But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
4And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
5And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
6Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
7For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
8Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
9Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
10For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
11For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
12Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
13But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
14And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
15Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
16Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
17The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.
18The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

1Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may spread rapidly and be glorified, even as also with you,
2and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and evil men; for not all have faith.
3But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
4We have confidence in the Lord concerning you, that you both do and will do the things we command.
5May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and into the perseverance of Christ.
6Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother who walks in rebellion and not after the tradition which they received from us.
7For you know how you ought to imitate us. For we didn’t behave ourselves rebelliously among you,
8neither did we eat bread from anyone’s hand without paying for it, but in labor and travail worked night and day, that we might not burden any of you.
9This was not because we don’t have the right, but to make ourselves an example to you, that you should imitate us.
10For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: “If anyone is not willing to work, don’t let him eat.”
11For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don’t work at all, but are busybodies.
