Dopo di ciò Davidde sconfisse i Filistei e gli umiliò, e tolse di mano a' Filistei il freno del tributo.

DESPUÉS de esto aconteció, que David hirió á los Filisteos, y los humilló: y tomó David á Methegamma de mano de los Filisteos.

And after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them: and David took Metheg-ammah out of the hand of the Philistines.

E sconfisse i Moabiti, e distesi per terra li misurò colla corda: e di due corde di misura l'una menava alla morte, l'altra alla vita. E iMoabiti divennero servi, e tributarii di Davidde.

Hirió también á los de Moab, y midiólos con cordel, haciéndolos echar por tierra; y midió con dos cordeles para muerte, y un cordel entero para vida; y fueron los Moabitas siervos debajo de tributo.

Parimente Davidde sconfisse Adarezer figliuolo di Rohob, re di Soba, allorché si mosse per conquistare il paese fino al fiume Eufrate.

Asimismo hirió David á Hadad-ezer hijo de Rehob, rey de Soba, yendo él á extender su término hasta el río de Eufrates.

E i Siri di Damasco si mossero per dare ajuto ad Adarezer re di Soba: e David uccise ventidue mila Siri.

Y vinieron los Siros de Damasco á dar ayuda á Hadad-ezer rey de Soba; y David hirió de los Siros veinte y dos mil hombres.

And when the Syrians of Damascus came to succour Hadadezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.

I quali il re David consacrò al Signore insieme coll'oro e coll'argento consacrato da lui di tutte le genti, che avea soggiogate,

Acquistò ancor molta gloria Davidde, allorché ritornando dalla conquista della Siria, uccise diciotto mila uomini nella valle delle Saline.

Y ganó David fama cuando, volviendo de la rota de los Siros, hirió diez y ocho mil hombres en el valle de la sal.

And David gat him a name when he returned from smiting of the Syrians in the valley of salt, being eighteen thousand men.

E pose governatori nell'Idumea, e un presidio di soldati: e l'Idumea tutta quanta fu soggetta a David. E il Signore custodì Davidde in tutti i luoghi, dov'egli andò.

E Banaia figliuolo di Jojada era capo dì quelli di Cerethi, e di Phelethi; e i figliuoli di David erano i primi presso il re. Con quanta clemenza David trattasse Miphiboseth figliuolo di Gionata, stroppiato, a cui rendette tutte le possessioni di Saul coltivate da Siba co1 suoi figliuoli, e servi, ammettendo lo stesso Miphiboseth alla sua mensa.

Y Benahía hijo de Joiada, era sobre los Ceretheos y Peletheos; y los hijos de David eran los príncipes.

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over both the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David’s sons were chief rulers.
