E pose David presidio nella Siria di Damasco: e la Siria fu serva, e tributaria di David: e il Signore conservò David in tutti i luoghi dove andò.

Puso luego David guarnición en Siria la de Damasco, y fueron los Siros siervos de David sujetos á tributo. Y Jehová guardó á David donde quiera que fué.

Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought gifts. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.
