Palabra de Dios para Ti
1Entonces todas las tribus de Israel fueron a David en Hebrón y dijeron: ¡Aquí estamos, hueso tuyo y carne tuya!
2Antes, cuando Saúl era nuestro rey, eras tú quien nos sacabas y nos devolvías en Israel, y Yavé te dijo: Tú apacentarás a mi pueblo Israel y serás el jefe de Israel.
3Cuando todos los ancianos de Israel fueron al rey en Hebrón, el rey David hizo un pacto con ellos en Hebrón delante de Yavé. Y ungieron a David como rey de Israel.
4David comenzó a reinar cuando tenía 30 años y reinó 40 años.
5En Hebrón reinó sobre Judá siete años y seis meses, y en Jerusalén reinó sobre todo Israel y Judá 33 años.
6El rey marchó con sus hombres a Jerusalén contra los jebuseos que habitaban en aquella tierra, quienes hablaron a David: No podrás entrar acá, pues hasta los ciegos y los cojos te rechazarían y gritarían: ¡David no puede entrar acá!
7Pero David capturó la fortaleza de Sion, que es la Ciudad de David.
8Aquel día David dijo: El que quiera atacar a los jebuseos, suba por el túnel del acueducto y llegue hasta los cojos y ciegos, a quienes el alma de David aborrece. Por lo cual se dice: ¡Ni ciegos ni cojos entrarán en la Casa!
9David vivió en la fortaleza y la llamó Ciudad de David. Luego edificó alrededor, desde el muro hacia adentro.
10David se engrandecía cada vez más, porque Yavé ʼElohim de las huestes estaba con él.
11Hiram, rey de Tiro, envió embajadores a David, con madera de cedro, ebanistas y canteros para los muros, quienes edificaron la casa de David.
12David entendió que Yavé lo había establecido como rey de Israel y que había exaltado su reino por amor a su pueblo Israel.
13Después que salió de Hebrón, David tomó otras concubinas y esposas en Jerusalén, y le nacieron más hijos e hijas a David.
14Estos son los nombres de los que le nacieron en Jerusalén: Samúa, Sobab, Natán, Salomón,
15Ibhar, Elisúa, Nefeg, Jafía,
16Elisama, Eliada y Elifelet.
17Cuando los filisteos oyeron que David fue ungido como rey de Israel, todos subieron en busca de él. David lo supo y bajó a la fortaleza.
18Los filisteos llegaron y se desplegaron por el valle de Refaim.
19David consultó entonces a Yavé: ¿Subo contra los filisteos? ¿Los entregarás en mi mano? Y Yavé respondió a David: Sube, porque ciertamente entregaré a los filisteos en tu mano.
20David fue a Baal-perazim y allí los derrotó, y dijo: ¡Yavé me abrió brecha entre mis enemigos como corriente impetuosa! Por eso llamó aquel lugar Baal-perazim.
21Ellos dejaron allí sus ídolos, y David y sus hombres se los llevaron.
22Los filisteos volvieron a subir y se desplegaron por el valle de Refaim.
23David consultó a Yavé, y Él le dijo: No subas, sino rodéalos por detrás, y sal a ellos frente a las balsameras.
24Cuando oigas el ruido de marcha en las copas de las balsameras, te apresurarás, porque entonces Yavé saldrá delante de ti para herir al ejército de los filisteos.
25David hizo como Yavé le ordenó, y derrotó a los filisteos desde Geba hasta Gezer.

1Y VINIERON todas las tribus de Israel á David en Hebrón, y hablaron, diciendo: He aquí nosotros somos tus huesos y tu carne.
2Y aun ayer y antes, cuando Saúl reinaba sobre nosotros, tú sacabas y volvías á Israel. Además Jehová te ha dicho: Tú apacentarás á mi pueblo Israel, y tú serás sobre Israel príncipe.
3Vinieron pues todos los ancianos de Israel al rey en Hebrón, y el rey David hizo con ellos alianza en Hebrón delante de Jehová; y ungieron á David por rey sobre Israel.
4Era David de treinta años cuando comenzó á reinar, y reinó cuarenta años.
5En Hebrón reinó sobre Judá siete años y seis meses: y en Jerusalem reinó treinta y tres años sobre todo Israel y Judá.
6Entonces el rey y los suyos fueron á Jerusalem al Jebuseo que habitaba en la tierra; el cual habló á David, diciendo: Tú no entrarás acá, si no echares los ciegos y los cojos; diciendo: No entrará acá David.
7Empero David tomó la fortaleza de Sión, la cual es la ciudad de David.
8Y dijo David aquel día: ¿Quién llegará hasta las canales, y herirá al Jebuseo, y á los cojos y ciegos, á los cuales el alma de David aborrece? Por esto se dijo: Ciego ni cojo no entrará en casa.
9Y David moró en la fortaleza, y púsole por nombre la Ciudad de David: y edificó alrededor, desde Millo para adentro.
10Y David iba creciendo y aumentándose, y Jehová Dios de los ejércitos era con él.
11E Hiram rey de Tiro envió también embajadores á David, y madera de cedro, y carpinteros, y canteros para los muros, los cuales edificaron la casa de David.
12Y entendió David que Jehová le había confirmado por rey sobre Israel, y que había ensalzado su reino por amor de su pueblo Israel.
13Y tomó David más concubinas y mujeres de Jerusalem después que vino de Hebrón, y naciéronle más hijos é hijas.
14Estos son los nombres de los que le nacieron en Jerusalem: Sammua, y Sobab, y Nathán, y Salomón,
15E Ibhar, y Elisua, y Nepheg,
16Y Japhia, y Elisama, y Eliada, y Eliphelet.
17Y oyendo los Filisteos que habían ungido á David por rey sobre Israel, todos los Filisteos subieron á buscar á David: lo cual como David oyó, vino á la fortaleza.
18Y vinieron los Filisteos, y extendiéronse por el valle de Raphaim.
19Entonces consultó David á Jehová, diciendo: ¿Iré contra los Filisteos? ¿los entregarás en mis manos? Y Jehová respondió á David: Ve, porque ciertamente entregaré los Filisteos en tus manos.
20Y vino David á Baal-perasim, y allí los venció David, y dijo: Rompió Jehová mis enemigos delante de mí, como quien rompe aguas. Y por esto llamó el nombre de aquel lugar Baal-perasim.
21Y dejaron allí sus ídolos, los cuales quemó David y los suyos.
22Y los Filisteos tornaron á venir, y extendiéronse en el valle de Raphaim.
23Y consultando David á Jehová, él le respondió: No subas; mas rodéalos, y vendrás á ellos por delante de los morales:
24Y cuando oyeres un estruendo que irá por las copas de los morales, entonces te moverás; porque Jehová saldrá delante de ti á herir el campo de los Filisteos.
25Y David lo hizo así, como Jehová se lo había mandado; é hirió á los Filisteos desde Gabaa hasta llegar á Gaza.
King James Version
1Then came all the tribes of Israel to David unto Hebron, and spake, saying, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh.
2Also in time past, when Saul was king over us, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the LORD said to thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be a captain over Israel.
3So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a league with them in Hebron before the LORD: and they anointed David king over Israel.
4David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.
5In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years over all Israel and Judah.
6And the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land: which spake unto David, saying, Except thou take away the blind and the lame, thou shalt not come in hither: thinking, David cannot come in hither.
7Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion: the same is the city of David.
8And David said on that day, Whosoever getteth up to the gutter, and smiteth the Jebusites, and the lame and the blind, that are hated of David’s soul, he shall be chief and captain. Wherefore they said, The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.
9So David dwelt in the fort, and called it the city of David. And David built round about from Millo and inward.
10And David went on, and grew great, and the LORD God of hosts was with him.
11And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and carpenters, and masons: and they built David an house.
12And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel’s sake.
13And David took him more concubines and wives out of Jerusalem, after he was come from Hebron: and there were yet sons and daughters born to David.
14And these be the names of those that were born unto him in Jerusalem; Shammua, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon,
15Ibhar also, and Elishua, and Nepheg, and Japhia,
16And Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphalet.
17But when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold.
18The Philistines also came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
19And David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.
20And David came to Baal-perazim, and David smote them there, and said, The LORD hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baal-perazim.
21And there they left their images, and David and his men burned them.
22And the Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
23And when David enquired of the LORD, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.
24And let it be, when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself: for then shall the LORD go out before thee, to smite the host of the Philistines.
25And David did so, as the LORD had commanded him; and smote the Philistines from Geba until thou come to Gazer.

1Then all the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and spoke, saying, “Behold, we are your bone and your flesh.
2In times past, when Saul was king over us, it was you who led Israel out and in. The LORD said to you, ‘You will be shepherd of my people Israel, and you will be prince over Israel.’”
3So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron, and King David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel.
4David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.
5In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years over all Israel and Judah.
6The king and his men went to Jerusalem against the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, who spoke to David, saying, “The blind and the lame will keep you out of here,” thinking, “David can’t come in here.”
7Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion. This is David’s city.
8David said on that day, “Whoever strikes the Jebusites, let him go up to the watercourse and strike those lame and blind, who are hated by David’s soul.” Therefore they say, “The blind and the lame can’t come into the house.”
9David lived in the stronghold, and called it David’s city. David built around from Millo and inward.
10David grew greater and greater, for the LORD, the God of Armies, was with him.
11Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, with cedar trees, carpenters, and masons; and they built David a house.
12David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel’s sake.
13David took more concubines and wives for himself out of Jerusalem, after he had come from Hebron; and more sons and daughters were born to David.
14These are the names of those who were born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,
15Ibhar, Elishua, Nepheg, Japhia,
16Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet.
17When the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David, but David heard about it and went down to the stronghold.
18Now the Philistines had come and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
19David inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my hand?” The LORD said to David, “Go up; for I will certainly deliver the Philistines into your hand.”
20David came to Baal Perazim, and David struck them there. Then he said, “The LORD has broken my enemies before me, like the breach of waters.” Therefore he called the name of that place Baal Perazim.
21They left their images there, and David and his men took them away.
22The Philistines came up yet again and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
23When David inquired of the LORD, he said, “You shall not go up. Circle around behind them, and attack them in front of the mulberry trees.
24When you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then stir yourself up; for then the LORD has gone out before you to strike the army of the Philistines.”
25David did so, as the LORD commanded him, and struck the Philistines all the way from Geba to Gezer.
