Quand le fils de Saül apprit qu'Abner était mort à Hébron, ses mains devinrent lâches, et tout Israël fut consterné.

LUEGO que oyó el hijo de Saúl que Abner había sido muerto en Hebrón, las manos se le descoyuntaron, y fué atemorizado todo Israel.

And Saul’s son had two men that were captains of bands: the name of the one was Baanah, and the name of the other Rechab, the sons of Rimmon a Beerothite, of the children of Benjamin: (for Beeroth also was reckoned to Benjamin:

Et les Beérothiens s'étaient enfuis à Guitthaïm, et ils y ont séjourné jusqu'à aujourd'hui).

Estos Beerothitas se habían huído á Gittaim, y habían sido peregrinos allí hasta entonces.)

And the Beerothites fled to Gittaim, and were sojourners there until this day.)

Or Jonathan, fils de Saül, avait un fils perclus des pieds; il était âgé de cinq ans lorsque la nouvelle de la mort de Saül et de Jonathan arriva de Jizréel; et sa gouvernante le prit et s'enfuit, et comme elle se hâtait de fuir, il tomba et devint boiteux; son nom était Méphibosheth.

Y Jonathán, hijo de Saúl, tenía un hijo lisiado de los pies de edad de cinco años: que cuando la noticia de la muerte de Saúl y de Jonathán vino de Jezreel, tomóle su ama y huyó; y como iba huyendo con celeridad, cayó el niño y quedó cojo. Su nombre era Mephi-boseth.

And Jonathan, Saul’s son, had a son that was lame of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.

Les fils de Rimmon, le Beérothien, Récab et Baana, vinrent donc et entrèrent à la chaleur du jour dans la maison d'Ishbosheth, comme il prenait son repos de midi;

And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, went, and came about the heat of the day to the house of Ish-bosheth, who lay on a bed at noon.

Ils entrèrent jusqu'au milieu de la maison, comme pour y prendre du froment, et ils le frappèrent au ventre; puis Récab et Baana, son frère, s'enfuirent.

Entonces entraron ellos en medio de la casa en hábito de mercaderes de grano, y le hirieron en la quinta costilla. Escapáronse luego Rechâb y Baana su hermano;

And they came thither into the midst of the house, as though they would have fetched wheat; and they smote him under the fifth rib: and Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped.

Ils entrèrent donc dans la maison, lorsqu'Ishbosheth était couché sur son lit, dans la chambre où il dormait; et ils le frappèrent et le firent mourir; puis ils lui coupèrent la tête, et la prirent, et marchèrent par le chemin de la plaine toute cette nuit-là.

Pues como entraron en la casa, estando él en su cama en su cámara de dormir, lo hirieron y mataron, y cortáronle la cabeza, y habiéndola tomado, caminaron toda la noche por el camino de la campiña.

For when they came into the house, he lay on his bed in his bedchamber, and they smote him, and slew him, and beheaded him, and took his head, and gat them away through the plain all night.

Et ils apportèrent la tête d'Ishbosheth à David, à Hébron, et ils dirent au roi: Voici la tête d'Ishbosheth, fils de Saül, ton ennemi, qui cherchait ta vie; l'Éternel a vengé aujourd'hui le roi, mon seigneur, de Saül et de sa race.

Y trajeron la cabeza de Is-boseth á David en Hebrón, y dijeron al rey: He aquí la cabeza de Is-boseth hijo de Saúl tu enemigo, que procuraba matarte; y Jehová ha vengado hoy á mi señor el rey, de Saúl y de su simiente.

And they brought the head of Ish-bosheth unto David to Hebron, and said to the king, Behold the head of Ish-bosheth the son of Saul thine enemy, which sought thy life; and the LORD hath avenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his seed.

Mais David répondit à Récab et à Baana, son frère, fils de Rimmon, le Beérothien, et leur dit: L'Éternel est vivant, qui a délivré mon âme de toutes mes détresses!

J'ai saisi celui qui vint m'annoncer et me dire: Voilà, Saül est mort; et qui pensait m'apprendre de bonnes nouvelles, et je le fis mourir à Tsiklag, pour prix de ses bonnes nouvelles.

Que cuando uno me dió nuevas, diciendo, He aquí Saúl es muerto imaginándose que traía buenas nuevas, yo lo prendí, y le maté en Siclag en pago de la nueva.

When one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good tidings, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag, who thought that I would have given him a reward for his tidings:

when someone told me, ‘Behold, Saul is dead,’ thinking that he brought good news, I seized him and killed him in Ziklag, which was the reward I gave him for his news.

Combien plus, quand des méchants ont tué un homme de bien, dans sa maison, sur son lit, ne redemanderai-je pas maintenant son sang de votre main, et ne vous exterminerai-je pas de la terre?

¿Cuánto más á los malos hombres que mataron á un hombre justo en su casa, y sobre su cama? Ahora pues, ¿no tengo yo de demandar su sangre de vuestras manos, y quitaros de la tierra?

How much more, when wicked men have slain a righteous person in his own house upon his bed? shall I not therefore now require his blood of your hand, and take you away from the earth?

Et David donna ordre à ses gens, qui les tuèrent, et leur coupèrent les mains et les pieds, et les pendirent près de l'étang d'Hébron. Puis ils prirent la tête d'Ishbosheth, et l'ensevelirent dans le tombeau d'Abner, à Hébron.

Entonces David mandó á los mancebos, y ellos los mataron, y cortáronles las manos y los pies, y colgáronlos sobre el estanque, en Hebrón. Luego tomaron la cabeza de Is-boseth, y enterráronla en el sepulcro de Abner en Hebrón.

And David commanded his young men, and they slew them, and cut off their hands and their feet, and hanged them up over the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ish-bosheth, and buried it in the sepulchre of Abner in Hebron.
