E Gad essendosi presentato a Davidde, recò a lui questa nuova, e disse: O per sette anni sarà la fame nel tuo paese: o per tre mesi fuggirai i tuoi nemici, e quelli t'inseguiranno, o almeno per tre dì sarà pestilenza nel tuo reame. Or tu adunque consulta, e vedi qual risposta io abbia da dare a lui, che mi ha mandato.
Vino pues Gad á David, é intimóle, y díjole: ¿Quieres que te vengan siete años de hambre en tu tierra? ¿ó que huyas tres meses delante de tus enemigos, y que ellos te persigan? ¿ó que tres días haya pestilencia en tu tierra? Piensa ahora, y mira qué responderé al que me ha enviado.
So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days’ pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.
