1E hizo David una canción para el Señor con estas palabras, el día en que el Señor lo liberó de las manos de todos sus enemigos, y de la mano de Saúl:
2Y él dijo: El Señor es mi roca, mi fortaleza, y mi salvador;
3Dios mío, roca mía, en él pondré mi fe; mi coraza y el poder de mi salvación, mi torre alta y mi lugar seguro; Mi salvador, que me mantiene a salvo del hombre violento.
4Enviaré mi clamor al Señor, quien es digno de alabanza; Así me protegeré de los que están contra mí.
5Porque las olas de la muerte me rodearon, y los mares del mal me hicieron temer;
6Los lazos del infierno me rodearon: las redes de la muerte cayeron sobre mí.
7En mi angustia mi voz subió al Señor, y mi clamor a mi Dios: mi voz llegó a su oído en su santo Templo, y mi oración llegó a sus oídos.
8Entonces la tierra se conmovió con un golpe violento; Las bases del cielo se movieron y temblaron, porque él estaba enojado.
9De su nariz salía humo, y de su boca salía un fuego de destrucción: encendía carbones.
10Se doblaron los cielos para que descendiera; y estaba oscuro bajo sus pies.
11Y atravesó el aire, sentado en una nube de tormenta, yendo rápidamente sobre las alas del viento.
12E hizo a su alrededor la oscuridad su tabernáculo, una masa de aguas, gruesas nubes de los cielos.
13Un fulgor de resplandor salió de su presencia, lloviendo hielo y carbones de fuego.
14El Señor hizo truenos en los cielos, y la voz del Altísimo estaba sonando.
15Y él envió sus flechas, llevándolas en todas direcciones; por sus llamas de fuego mis enemigos se turbaron.
16Luego se vieron los canales profundos del mar, y se descubrieron las bases del mundo, debido a la ira del Señor, a causa del fuerte soplo del aliento de su nariz.
17Me tendió la mano desde de lo alto, me tomó y me sacó de las grandes aguas.
18Me liberó de mi fuerte odiador, de los que estaban contra mí, porque eran más fuertes que yo.
19Ellos vinieron sobre mí en el día de mi problema, pero el Señor fue mi apoyo.
20Me sacó a un lugar espacioso; Él era mi salvador porque se deleitaba en mí.
21El Señor me da la recompensa de mi justicia, porque mis manos están limpias delante de él.
22Porque he guardado los caminos del Señor; No he sido apartado de mi Dios.
23Porque todas sus decisiones estaban delante de mí, y no aparté de mí sus leyes.
24Y fui recto delante de él, y me guardé del pecado.
25Por esto el Señor me ha dado la recompensa de mi justicia, porque mis manos están limpias en sus ojos.
26Sobre el que tiene misericordia, tú tendrás misericordia; para los rectos serás recto;
27El que es santo verá que tú eres santo; Pero para el hombre cuyo camino no es recto, serás un juez duro.
28Porque tú eres el salvador de los que están en problemas; Pero tus ojos están puestos en los hombres de orgullo, para humillarlos.
29Porque tú eres mi luz, oh Señor; y el Señor alumbra mi oscuridad.
30Con tu ayuda, me abrí paso a través de un ejército, con la ayuda de mi Dios, he saltado sobre muros.
31En cuanto a Dios, su camino es perfecto, la palabra del Señor es purificada; Él es un escudo seguro para todos aquellos que ponen su fe en él.
32Porque ¿quién es Dios sino el Señor? ¿Y quién es la roca, sino nuestro Dios?
33Dios me ciñe de poder, guiándome de manera directa.
34Hace mis pies ligeros como de ciervo, y me pone en lugares altos.
35Él hace que mis manos sean expertas en la guerra, de modo que un arco de bronce se doble por mis brazos.
36Me has dado la coraza de tu salvación, y tu misericordia me ha hecho grande.
37Has ensanchado mis pasos debajo de mí, para que mis pies no se deslicen.
38Voy tras mis enemigos y los alcancé; No volviendo atrás hasta que todos sean vencidos.
39Les he enviado destrucción y les he dado heridas para que no puedan levantarse: están bajo mis pies.
40Porque he sido armado por ti con fuerza para el combate; has abatido a los que salieron contra mí.
41Has hecho que mis enemigos huyan delante de mí, y a los que me odiaban destruí.
42Estaban gritando, pero no había nadie que acudiera en su ayuda: ni siquiera él Señor, les respondió.
43Entonces fueron aplastados tan pequeños como el polvo de la tierra, pisoteados bajo mis pies como él lodo de las calles.
44Me has liberado de las luchas de mi pueblo; Tú me has hecho cabeza de las naciones; un pueblo del cual no tenía conocimiento serán mis siervos.
45Los extranjeros de otros países, se pondrán bajo mi autoridad: desde el momento en que mi nombre llegue a sus oídos, me obedecerán.
46Los extranjeros se debilitarán y saldrán de sus lugares secretos temblando de miedo.
47El Señor está vivo; Alabado sea mi roca, exaltado sea él Dios de mi salvación.
48Es Dios quien envía castigo a mis enemigos, y pone a los pueblos bajo mi gobierno.
49Me libera de mis enemigos. Me levanto sobre los que me atacan: me has liberado del hombre violento.
50Por eso te alabaré, oh Señor, entre las naciones, y cantaré alabanza a tu nombre.
51La gran salvación da a su rey. Y muestra su fidelidad a su pacto; tiene misericordia del rey de su elección, David, y de su descendencia para siempre.

1Y HABLÓ David á Jehová las palabras de este cántico, el día que Jehová le había librado de la mano de todos sus enemigos, y de la mano de Saúl.
2Y dijo: Jehová es mi roca, y mi fortaleza, y mi libertador;
3Dios de mi roca, en él confiaré: mi escudo, y el cuerno de mi salud, mi fortaleza, y mi refugio; mi salvador, que me librarás de violencia.
4Invocaré á Jehová, digno de ser loado, y seré salvo de mis enemigos.
5Cuando me cercaron ondas de muerte, y arroyos de iniquidad me asombraron,
6Me rodearon los dolores del infierno, y me tomaron descuidado lazos de muerte.
7Tuve angustia, invoqué á Jehová, y clamé á mi Dios: y él oyó mi voz desde su templo; llegó mi clamor á sus oídos.
8La tierra se removió, y tembló; los fundamentos de los cielos fueron movidos, y se estremecieron, porque él se airó.
9Subió humo de sus narices, y de su boca fuego consumidor, por el cual se encendieron carbones.
10Y abajó los cielos, y descendió: una oscuridad debajo de sus pies.
11Subió sobre el querubín, y voló: aparecióse sobre las alas del viento.
12Puso tinieblas alrededor de sí á modo de pabellones; aguas negras y espesas nubes.
13Del resplandor de su presencia se encendieron ascuas ardientes.
14Jehová tronó desde los cielos, y el Altísimo dió su voz;
15Arrojó saetas, y desbaratólos; relampagueó, y consumiólos.
16Entonces aparecieron los manantiales de la mar, y los fundamentos del mundo fueron descubiertos, á la reprensión de Jehová, al resoplido del aliento de su nariz.
17Extendió su mano de lo alto, y arrebatóme, y sacóme de copiosas aguas.
18Libróme de fuertes enemigos, de aquellos que me aborrecían, los cuales eran más fuertes que yo.
19Asaltáronme en el día de mi calamidad; mas Jehová fué mi sostén.
20Sacóme á anchura; libróme, porque puso su voluntad en mí.
21Remuneróme Jehová conforme á mi justicia; y conforme á la limpieza de mis manos, me dió la paga.
22Porque yo guardé los caminos de Jehová, y no me aparté impíamente de mi Dios.
23Porque delante de mí tengo todas sus ordenanzas; y atento á sus fueros, no me retiraré de ellos.
24Y fuí íntegro para con él, y guardéme de mi iniquidad.
25Remuneróme por tanto Jehová conforme á mi justicia, y conforme á mi limpieza delante de sus ojos.
26Con el bueno eres benigno, y con el íntegro te muestras íntegro;
27Limpio eres para con el limpio, mas con el perverso eres rígido.
28Y tú salvas al pueblo humilde; mas tus ojos sobre los altivos, para abatirlos.
29Porque tú eres mi lámpara, oh Jehová: Jehová da luz á mis tinieblas.
30Porque en ti romperé ejércitos, y con mi Dios saltaré las murallas.
31Dios, perfecto su camino: la palabra de Jehová purificada, escudo es de todos los que en él esperan.
32Porque ¿qué Dios hay sino Jehová? ¿ó quién es fuerte sino nuestro Dios?
33Dios es el que con virtud me corrobora, y el que despeja mi camino;
34El que hace mis pies como de ciervas, y el que me asienta en mis alturas;
35El que enseña mis manos para la pelea, y da que con mis brazos quiebre el arco de acero.
36Tú me diste asimismo el escudo de tu salud, y tu benignidad me ha acrecentado.
37Tú ensanchaste mis pasos debajo de mí, para que no titubeasen mis rodillas.
38Perseguiré á mis enemigos, y quebrantarélos; y no me volveré hasta que los acabe.
39Los consumiré, y los heriré, y no se levantarán; y caerán debajo de mis pies.
40Ceñísteme de fortaleza para la batalla, y postraste debajo de mí los que contra mí se levantaron.
41Tú me diste la cerviz de mis enemigos, de mis aborrecedores, y que yo los destruyese.
42Miraron, y no hubo quien los librase; á Jehová, mas no les respondió.
43Yo los desmenuzaré como polvo de la tierra; hollarélos como á lodo de las plazas, y los disiparé.
44Tú me libraste de contiendas de pueblos: tú me guardaste para que fuese cabeza de gentes: pueblos que no conocía, me sirvieron.
45Los extraños titubeaban á mí: en oyendo, me obedecían.
46Los extraños desfallecían, y temblaban en sus escondrijos.
47Viva Jehová, y sea bendita mi roca; sea ensalzado el Dios, la roca de mi salvamento:
48El Dios que me ha vengado, y sujeta los pueblos debajo de mí;
49Y que me saca de entre mis enemigos: tú me sacaste en alto de entre los que se levantaron contra mí: librásteme del varón de iniquidades.
50Por tanto yo te confesaré entre las gentes, oh Jehová, y cantaré á tu nombre.
51El que engrandece las saludes de su rey, y hace misericordia á su ungido, á David, y á su simiente, para siempre.

1And David spake unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul:
2And he said, The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
3The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.
4I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
5When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid;
6The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me;
7In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.
8Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of heaven moved and shook, because he was wroth.
9There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.
10He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and darkness was under his feet.
11And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind.
12And he made darkness pavilions round about him, dark waters, and thick clouds of the skies.
13Through the brightness before him were coals of fire kindled.
14The LORD thundered from heaven, and the most High uttered his voice.
15And he sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and discomfited them.
16And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were discovered, at the rebuking of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils.
17He sent from above, he took me; he drew me out of many waters;
18He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them that hated me: for they were too strong for me.
19They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.
20He brought me forth also into a large place: he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
21The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
22For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
23For all his judgments were before me: and as for his statutes, I did not depart from them.
24I was also upright before him, and have kept myself from mine iniquity.
25Therefore the LORD hath recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight.
26With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful, and with the upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright.
27With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself unsavoury.
28And the afflicted people thou wilt save: but thine eyes are upon the haughty, that thou mayest bring them down.
29For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness.
30For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall.
31As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
32For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?
33God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.
34He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet: and setteth me upon my high places.
35He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
36Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great.
37Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip.
38I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; and turned not again until I had consumed them.
39And I have consumed them, and wounded them, that they could not arise: yea, they are fallen under my feet.
40For thou hast girded me with strength to battle: them that rose up against me hast thou subdued under me.
41Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.
42They looked, but there was none to save; even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.
43Then did I beat them as small as the dust of the earth, I did stamp them as the mire of the street, and did spread them abroad.
44Thou also hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, thou hast kept me to be head of the heathen: a people which I knew not shall serve me.
45Strangers shall submit themselves unto me: as soon as they hear, they shall be obedient unto me.
46Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be afraid out of their close places.
47The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.
48It is God that avengeth me, and that bringeth down the people under me,
49And that bringeth me forth from mine enemies: thou also hast lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
50Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.
51He is the tower of salvation for his king: and sheweth mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for evermore.

1David spoke to the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul,
2and he said: “The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, even mine;
3God is my rock in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge. My savior, you save me from violence.
4I call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.
5For the waves of death surrounded me. The floods of ungodliness made me afraid.
6The cords of Sheol were around me. The snares of death caught me.
7In my distress, I called on the LORD. Yes, I called to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry came into his ears.
8Then the earth shook and trembled. The foundations of heaven quaked and were shaken, because he was angry.
9Smoke went up out of his nostrils. Consuming fire came out of his mouth. Coals were kindled by it.

28You will save the afflicted people, but your eyes are on the arrogant, that you may bring them down.
29For you are my lamp, LORD. The LORD will light up my darkness.
30For by you, I run against a troop. By my God, I leap over a wall.
31As for God, his way is perfect. The LORD’s word is tested. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.
32For who is God, besides the LORD? Who is a rock, besides our God?
33God is my strong fortress. He makes my way perfect.
34He makes his feet like hinds’ feet, and sets me on my high places.
35He teaches my hands to war, so that my arms bend a bow of bronze.
36You have also given me the shield of your salvation. Your gentleness has made me great.
37You have enlarged my steps under me. My feet have not slipped.

39I have consumed them, and struck them through, so that they can’t arise. Yes, they have fallen under my feet.

42They looked, but there was no one to save; even to the LORD, but he didn’t answer them.

44You also have delivered me from the strivings of my people. You have kept me to be the head of the nations. A people whom I have not known will serve me.
45The foreigners will submit themselves to me. As soon as they hear of me, they will obey me.
46The foreigners will fade away, and will come trembling out of their close places.
47The LORD lives! Blessed be my rock! Exalted be God, the rock of my salvation,
48even the God who executes vengeance for me, who brings down peoples under me,
49who brings me away from my enemies. Yes, you lift me up above those who rise up against me. You deliver me from the violent man.
50Therefore I will give thanks to you, LORD, among the nations, and will sing praises to your name.
51He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his offspring, forever more.”
