35J'ai quatre-vingts ans aujourd'hui : suis-je à même de discerner le bien du mal ? et ton serviteur peut-il savourer ce qu'il mange ou ce qu'il boit ? ou puis-je encore jouir de la voix des chantres et des cantatrices ? Et pourquoi ton serviteur serait-il encore à charge à mon Seigneur le Roi ?

35Yo soy hoy día de edad de ochenta años, que ya no haré diferencia entre lo bueno y lo malo: ¿tomará gusto ahora tu siervo en lo que comiere ó bebiere? ¿oiré más la voz de los cantores y de las cantoras? ¿para qué, pues, sería aún tu siervo molesto á mi señor el rey?

35I am this day fourscore years old: and can I discern between good and evil? can thy servant taste what I eat or what I drink? can I hear any more the voice of singing men and singing women? wherefore then should thy servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king?

35I am eighty years old, today. Can I discern between good and bad? Can your servant taste what I eat or what I drink? Can I hear the voice of singing men and singing women any more? Why then should your servant be a burden to my lord the king?
