13E Davi mandou que procurassem Amasa e lhe dissessem: “Não é você meu sobrinho, sangue do meu sangue? Eu prometo, em nome de Deus, fazer de você o comandante do meu exército de agora em diante, em lugar de Joabe”.

13Asimismo diréis á Amasa: ¿No eres tú también hueso mío y carne mía? Así me haga Dios, y así me añada, si no fueres general del ejército delante de mí para siempre, en lugar de Joab.

13And say ye to Amasa, Art thou not of my bone, and of my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if thou be not captain of the host before me continually in the room of Joab.
World English Bible
13Say to Amasa, ‘Aren’t you my bone and my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if you aren’t captain of the army before me continually instead of Joab.’”
