9Gewiss liegt er jetzt irgendwo in einer Schlucht versteckt oder sonst an irgendeinem Ort. Wenn nun gleich am Anfang etliche von den Leuten fallen und man hört davon, so heisst es: Das Volk, das zu Absalom hält, hat eine Niederlage erlitten!

9He aquí él estará ahora escondido en alguna cueva, ó en otro lugar: y si al principio cayeren algunos de los tuyos, oirálo quien lo oyere, y dirá: El pueblo que sigue á Absalom ha sido derrotado.

9Behold, he is hid now in some pit, or in some other place: and it will come to pass, when some of them be overthrown at the first, that whosoever heareth it will say, There is a slaughter among the people that follow Absalom.
